The actual salon is lovely with alot of gold accessories including some amazing gold chairs which is what drew me into the salon in the first place when it opened. They seem to have thought about lots of little details which make a visit to the hairdressers special, I even got Oreo's and praline seashells with my cup of tea not the usual tasteless biscuit in a plastic wrapper that I've had in other salons. So overall good hair, lovely decor, fab service. I reckon it's one of Leicester's hidden gems so go and try it out before they get too busy.

I hate to write a bad review as the people at this hair dressers are friendly and always…read moreaccommodating, but having had a bad experience I will be straight. I had synthetic extensions put in after a long chat with the ladies in the studio about what was best for my hair. This was my first time for extensions and I asked would they damage my hair and they said no. I was quoted one price before they started and though very expensive I was keen to go ahead with it. At the end I Was charged £30 more on top. No explanation why or what for and I was to say to remind them that I had been given a different quote amount. To be honest I was happy with the hair even though it was very expensive compared to other places, so I paid and didn't stress over it. A few months later I have recently had to have the extensions taken out by a professional at another studio and literally 50% of my hair came off at the extension glued area. (the half of my hair that was attached to extensions basically ). They tried every way to save my hair but nothing worked. No consideration had been given to my hair type/hair condition etc before putting them in my hair, no warnings of possible outcomes. I treated the extensions like threads of gold, they were well looked after following all instructions, so it was nothing to do with my treatment of the hair. The resulting is me having to face having my hair cut short at yet more expense ( at a different hair dressers when I get the balls to get it done ! ) If I wanted short hair I would have never got extensions! I have never been back to them as I was mortified with the whole situation. I really do think this studio is nice and has good staff, but they need to turn away customers who are likely to end up with damaged hair. The other professional that took them out said that my hair was not the type to cope with that type of trauma and they should never have been put in. A different method and type of extension would have been more for me. Why was I not told this at Beyond The Fringe instead of them being keen to do it and take my money.. :-( let this be a warning to the ladies that dream of longer locks... buy a wig, its easier!

Yvonne put me at ease immediately and she gave me great advice. You know you are in safe hands when the hairdresser's own hair is stunning :) . Yvonne gave me a fabulous hair cut and I made a forward booking for before Christmas. Her salon is tucked away in the middle of the village and benefits from easy parking as well as lovely views so the whole experience was very relaxing. Yvonne's charges are very reasonable and she caters for all kinds of styles and ages. She also does home visits for customers not able to get out and about. So if you are looking for a hair stylist who gives a really good service, off the beaten track in Llanerfyl, Llangadfan, Foel or Llanfair Caereinion I recommend you call Yvonne.

The Salon front is attractive and has character, it is clean and well maintained. You enter the salon through a door which leads to a flight of stairs to the left. The salon is on the first floor and is modern, clean, up to date and has seats by the reception area. There are magazines to read if you are early. There are two Senior stylists and one Junior stylist. All are accomplished and skilled. On arrival you are welcomed warmly and your hairdresser is informed that you have arrived. You will have a seated consultation before going through to the salon. If you are having your hair washed you will normally recieve a lovely head massage as well.........bliss and well worth going for. There are two hair washing sinks and you normally lean back into them. There are about 6 cutting areas and all have comfy seats and mirrors. They normally offer a drink too. The cut is of a very high standard and the styling if great. I am always very happy with the results and the stylists work with you listening to what you want, you can take a piccy too if you likethey like that. The atmosphere is nice and you normally enjoy a good chat. Overall a wonderful experience of pampering and very highly recommended. When I arrived, my stylist greeted me on time and confirmed the services I was after before taking you to the sinks. Another salmon staff provided a relaxing shampoo and conditioner.
