I really appreciated their policy of waiting for enough dry weather to actually finish... (especially when watching the exposed wood-composite of two of my neighbors get rained upon because their contractor was apparently more interested in schedules than the home they were working on). Sometimes James was difficult to get on the phone but he always, without fail, communicated via email, text or callback within 2-12 hours, sometimes quicker. The crew showed up timely, did great work, cleaned up daily and they were done on schedule. They were all very friendly and courteous and respectful of us and our property. His pricing is incredibly fair, and he's never going to push you to spend money you don't need to spend. Jantzen has spent SO much time talking through various roofing issues with me over the years, and not once have I felt the least bit of pressure from him to make a sale. EXAMPLE: We recently had a contractor's crew working on a small addition to the house, and while they were on the roof, they told us the entire roof needed to be replaced. They texted me some photos they took of the roof while they were up there as "evidence." I sent the photos along to Jantzen, and he set up a call with me and spent the better part of an hour talking through his analysis of the roof based on both their photos and his experience being up on the roof itself in the past. With all that time and effort, you'd think he'd be pushing us to have him replace the roof, but he literally told me that we did NOT need to replace it at this stage. He just wanted to take the time to make sure I fully understood the state of the roof and his reasoning. This was consistent with every experience I've had talking with Jantzen about questions about our roof. He takes the time to talk through all issues in detail; you will never feel rushed or feel like he has more important places to be. He is really and truly dedicated to making sure that anyone he works with receives his full attention and the highest quality service. Attached are some photos of a repair he completed last week, removing an old vent that had started to leak into the attic and patching the roof over the spot where it was. You can see how tidy and organized the work is. I didn't even ask him for step-by-step photos, but that's the sort of attention to detail you get with Jantzen. He knows we can't tell what's under the shingles, so this way we know exactly what was done. Again, his honesty is so refreshing in the home services world. I trust Jantzen completely with all roofing needs, and over the years, none of the work he's done has ever failed or needed to be redone. I can't imagine anyone who's worked with him would have anything but positive things to say about him. I will never work with any other roofing company as long as I own a house! They worked fast, but were VERY thorough. The mirrors and windows never looked so good. My boss is extremely picky, and is rarely 100% satisfied with work done on his home. Yet he raved about this company. We used them again when my boss' girlfriend's home experienced some gutter problems that caused flooding. I called this company on a rainy day, asking if they could make an emergency visit. They came out the very next day, and fixed everything at a very reasonable price. My boss again raved about them. I interviewed about 5 or at least tried to. Some never call back and some were just beyond expensive! A friend recommended Striker. A man came over and went over everything and my husband made the decision to go with them. Now, let me first say that my husband is NEVER pleased with contractors...EVER! He is like MacGuyver and can do and fix pretty much everything with precision but not a roof and not in August! He ends up yelling at contractors because of the shoddy workmanship and no attention to detail. We also had interior water damage and structural damage because a tree went through the roof. Hail damage on fence and gutter damage as well. So the project begins and I am waiting for my husband to start finding fault as usual. Still waiting....no problems. What? As a matter of fact they ended up doing more than insurance company paid for at no extra expense to us. Who does that these days?!?!? They did have to come back about 3 times to get the ceiling texture just right in a bedroom with the water damage but it is perfect. All in all, I can say is that Striker did an amazing job and I absolutely would recommend them...and my MacGuyver does too! Hopefully no more crazy storms for awhile.
