We needed gutter repair or new gutters and leaf guards. We called or emailed 6 or 7 companies. Many didn't bother to respond, others came out with hour long presentations, showed up unannounced and one one was just plain crazy. My experience with The Gutter Boys was impressive. They responded the same day. Their sales rep. Sam gave us a no pressure quote with a short demo of their product. The prices were competitive. We went with new gutters instead of repair since our house is +40 years old but they would have done either. Once we decided to hire them, the communication via email and phone was prompt and install date was scheduled within 3 weeks. Install team arrived as promised and completed the job quickly and cleaned up properly. There seem to be a lot of shady companies out there for this type of work. Had Gutter Boys out to clean me gutters. What a joke! My gutters were not cleaned at all. There was still sludge in all my gutters. I called to complain and they told me their workers might not have been trained and threw only used my hose to pour down my downspouts! I paid $114 for someone to take a garden hose and pour it down my down spout and they called it clean! So they sent the supervisor out the next day, he did a bit of a better cleaning but I was just up there myself using a shovel to clean out the gutters! DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE! They steal your money!! I'm not out $114 and still had to clean my own gutters! RIP OFF!!!! Don't waste your money! I am mad at myself for paying these clowns! read more

Not only did they NOT need to borrow my garden hose, "The Gutter Boys" even repaired my downspout as a gesture of goodwill. This is the second year I have had my gutters cleaned with this company and the first year no issue. In the second year after they came and cleaned out my gutters they left me the garbage back full of muck and leaves to put with my trash on trash day. I thought this was an oops by their service technician so I called and left a message and asked if this was standard practice and was told in a voicemail back by Russell "Yes it is standard practice for the service tech to leave the garbage bag of leaves/muck next to the garbage or drive so the customer can dispose of it on their garbage day". I had to listen to this message twice to make sure I heard him right. I can't believe a company that provides services of leaf removal would leave the garbage behind and make their customers responsible for disposal. I have been using the Gutter Boys for a few years and this year they were suppose to come out within a few weeks as they had in the past. They said no later than around the 15th. They did not show or call till around the end of the month. They called me after they had came and did the gutters, but I had already cleaned all the gutters myself the day before except for the ones on the second story. They also threw most of the debris onto the ground, there was a lot of leaves there already. They usually put it in bags so you can see what they cleaned out. They also didn't clean all the debris off the roof. When I called to see if they would adjust the bill to reflect what they actually did, they said no. The first "team" that arrived to clean our gutters consisted of a single man. He never took the ladder off his unmarked pickup truck and he couldn't figure out how to turn the hose on. He sat in the driveway for several minutes, put a bill in the mailbox and drove off. Called company right away to report. Was told gutter guy had pictures of my clean gutters though no one could produce them. Without a word, 2 new guys showed up out of the blue and found that gutters were never touched by first guy. These guys did a good job but initiated no contact. Received bill for full amount. After ignoring them, charges were reduced. No follow up from company. DO NOT RECOMMEND. I needed new gutters and downspouts. I checked a number of vendors, and chose the Gutter Boys. The crew arrived on schedule, removed and replaced the second and third floor the first day, then came back the second day for the garage and first floor. They made a few improvements to the downspout flows and to the pitch of some gutters. Thanks to Russ. They also re-installed a couple of rain-barrels I had, in a much more professional way. Horrible experience. If I could give negative stars I would. They were a no-show. I contacted them November 7 to clean my gutters and was told I would be on the schedule for cleaning between Nov. 11-20. I followed up twice to make sure they were going to come and clean the gutters. November 21st I reached out again, as no one showed up to clean the gutters like I was promised by Nov 20. I had to contact them, no one called me to explain why they never came. I was then promised they would be out Nov. 23. I contacted them again on Nov. 23 to make sure the work was going to be done and was told they cane to my area and said it was freezing so they couldn't do them. A total lie. We have cameras all over our property. No one ever came out to check and it was 49 degrees! There is no way anything was frozen. I asked for them to send a crew because my gutters were not frozen being that it was 49 degrees out and was told the crew wasn't answering any of their calls or texts. Excuse me? Your crew isn't answering your calls? Maybe you need a new crew. So, after two weeks of being jerked around and no one showing up to do the work, I had to find someone else in a pinch. Don't hire these guys. They are awful. Save your time and sanity and find a reliable company. Update: in response to the owner's reply, nothing untrue in my review. I have all of the emails and responses that I'm happy to post. My gutters were not frozen. If this were the case, the other guys would not have been able to clean them. UPDATE: Gutter Boys lied in their Google review response to my review stating I told them I hired them. I didn't. I contacted Gutter Guys and others for QUOTES in May. A private contractor cleaned my gutters in May. THIS IS JULY! I didn't HIRE this company. Inquired, but NEVER hired. NEVER! COMPLETE LIE! I called Gutter Boys today to inform them of my intent to prosecute. I believe this is how Gutter Boys drums up business..doing unauthorized work and billing for it. I'm not a customer. I didn't authorize access or work. This is trespassing. Illegal business practice. BEWARE! Two men in an unmarked vehicle, without identification, told my tenant "the landlord" sent them to do work on July 15 without calling ahead. They lied. I didn't authorize work. I didn't even know who had been on my roof or what they did. Very scary. I filed a police report. Then scheduled a roof inspection and immediate installation of security cameras. Then July 18, I got an erroneous invoice from Gutter Boys for $159. This appears to be their sales tactic. Lie to tenants, then send landlords bills. Contacted Gutter Boys to clean gutters and flush downspouts. Team shows up on a Saturday with little notice. I was on a call and could not go out when I first noticed they were at the house. The equipment was basically leaf blowers. They did not knock, just put ladders up. They were gone in 45 minutes, before I could to speak to them. Not sure the downspouts were flushed, debris from blowing the roof and gutters left everywhere. No conversation before they left. When called, customer service was poor and could provide no details. If the cost was not so high, I may not have been upset. But for what I was charged, did not get the service I would expect. read more

The work crew was friendly. Most of the work was well done, with the exception of a rather troublesome cosmetic detail. This detail really upset me and affects the value of my home. During the December ice and snowstorm, a large pine tree fell against the gutter section of a large bay window in my home. A branch went through the gutter like a spear. It hung there until the work crew removed it. The extent of the damage was unknown to me until removed. The facia to which the gutter was attached was splintered and should have been replaced. However, instead of alerting me to this fact, the crew worked to install the entire bay window and another surrounding area. When I inspected the completed work, I was extremely disappointed they had not communicated to me the state of the splintered wood to which they attached the new gutter. They indicated they do not do carpentry work. They were able to attach the gutter because there was no rot, so they failed to ask me what I wanted to do about the damage. I told them I plan to sell the house and it is an eyesore that will need to be replaced. The Crew leader, TJ, said he would get back to me and never did. Before they left I asked what the solution might be...he indicated they could pull off the new gutter and reinstall for the price I paid. The Crew leader said that 90 % of the time the crew spent on the installation, was work on the bay window. Why would I pay twice for rework? If they had alerted me to the wood splinter I could have hired someone to replace the wooden strip and then have them install the gutters. When I called customer service they waved me off, became defensive, and told me they don't do carpentry and it's not their job to replace wood unless it's rotten. Since the workers were able to put the screws in to attach the gutter, that seemed to be what they believed they had responsibility for. A gutter installation business that: 1) does not pay attention to cosmetic detail 2) says they will get back to you and never does 3) becomes defensive when a customer is trying to follow up on a commitment made to get back to them..... Is not the kind of place homeowners want to do business with! read more

The day after my gutters were cleaned by Gutter Boys, it rained. Water was pouring off in sheets. After renting a very tall ladder, we discovered the down spouts were completely clogged. If downspouts are not included in a gutter cleaning, then they should at least make the homeowner aware and not clean the gutters either. If the downspouts are clogged, clean gutters don't really matter. Don't use Gutter Boys. They do a sloppy job and send you the bill. read more

I used the gutter boys to clean out the gutters on my rental house. It has a slate roof that's flaking off and the flakes form together in the gutters into something very hard to remove. Also the gutters are more than 20 feet up so I really don't want to do that job myself. I couldn't manage to get a roofer or other people to show up when they said they would. I found the gutter boys online and figured they couldn't be worse than the no-shows I'd been dealing with so I gave them a try. I'm glad I did. They showed up exactly when they said they would and did a very diligent and thorough job. All of the slate fragments are gone and the downspouts all run free. Two years ago Gutter Boys replaced all our gutters. I never got around to doing a review. They did a great job and worked very hard to answer all our questions and meet our expectations. They even advised us on replacing our facia boards around the house before they put up new gutters for warranty purposes. They addressed any water overflow involving the roof pitch too. for cleaning out gutters they're ok, but their gutter guard is not good! areas where clogging with water running over, they attribute to a downspout on the one roof,,(understood) and the other to so many trees. Really, to many trees?,, go figure,, whats a gutter guard supposed to do but keep out leaves..Then, what they tell me is,, these maintenance free gutter covers need to be blown out a few times a year, $50.00 or so a shot and if that doesn't work. I can BUY A SPECIAL GUTTER SPRAY CLEANER WAND to clean them out,,, really defeats the purpose of the whole system,, do yourself a favor,, get gutter guards that completely covers and lets the water roll in over the edge,,, wish I had read more

I found The Gutter Boys online and decided to have them come out and clean my gutters. They did a fantastic job of not only cleaning all the gutters, but they also flushed all the downspouts and did an inspection to make sure everything was working great. They actually alerted me to a partial clog that I wouldn't have known about until it was a big problem. Now I can get it fixed before it's an issue. Service service was great and so was the price. Beware! These guys are not interested in servicing your gutters or downspouts. I called for an estimate on assessing our gutters and downspouts. As I was giving the reason for the assessment (a future underground tie in) I was interrupted and told "we don't do any underground work" to which I retorted "no you don't, Im calling about assessing gutters and downspouts; we want to change where we have some downspouts in order to shorten the underground line and before I could also tell him that the gutters were old and might need covering or changing out, he interrupted again saying "we don't do repairs!" They do a great gutter clean...however every year when you call for the same service as they keep you ok n file..they deceptively try to sign you up for a gutter flush in addition and fein surprise when you correct them. We were exceptionally happy with The Gutter Boys' cleaning of our gutters. They did the job last season, and followed up by phone this year to ask if we needed the work again. I was told they would come after all or most of the leafs had dropped, and they exactly that. We agreed that I didn't need to be home, but they would just come, do the work, and leave an invoice. It happened that we were home - it was a weekend - and the young man, Russ, who communicated with my husband was friendly, very polite, and helpful.
