Out-of-towners from California and we absolutely loved this place. The restaurant has a beautiful location and a grand upscale atmosphere without feeling stuffy or pretentious. It felt elegant but still welcoming and comfortable. The food was amazing across the board. There was a small mix-up with one of the dishes, but with a large party those things happen, and the staff handled it well. Our waitress was sweet, attentive, quick, and made the experience even better. Would definitely return next time we're in town.

SEARED AHI TUNA

This was my first time visiting The Grove and it definitely won't be my last. We went on a Saturday evening and the restaurant was lively. They have a few dining options to choose from including the bar/lounge area, in-door dining and outdoor patio areas. We started in the bar/lounge area while waiting for a seat outdoors so we could enjoy the weather and live music. Our server was very nice and honest- even when he hadn't tried a dish he told us how others rated it. We shared the SEARED AHI TUNA appetizer and added an additional side of bread 8/10 (it honestly should come with more!) Each ordered the THAI GINGER COCONUT SALMON which I am still thinking about! 10/10 The portions were generous and I saved 1/2 to make room for dessert. I was glad to enjoy leftovers the next day. We finished with the DULCE DE LECHE CHURROS which were highly recommended by our server and did not disappoint in presentation nor taste. 10/10

My second time visiting and I had a great time! We sat on the patio this visit and it was very nice. The service was a little delayed but we enjoyed the food. The outdoor seating area was beautiful.

We came to the bar here on a Thursday night and had the whole place to ourselves. The ambience inside is dark and moody, and it was very elegant. I love the aesthetic of the display cabinets. We got cocktails for about $13 each plus tip. I had the Garnet, which is a sweet vodka cocktail, and my friend got the Secret Garden, which is a Moscow mule with berry. This is definitely a place to enjoy for the vibes and probably just get a drink or two. I have heard the food is quite expensive here. They have a large outdoor patio area too with live music at certain times.

Awesome restaurant. Friendly service. Nice menu variety. Could have up their uniform look at the restaurant. Classier look. Great plate presentation. Neat seating. Quality ingredients. Only reason no 5 Star. Shell in my Lobster Roll. Forgot my order so everyone was almost done before I got mine. So it might have been a bad day for them. But please go and get you some!! Ver nice landscaping around the restaurant. Amazing place.

THE MINI BEEF WELLINGTONS ARE SO DELICIOUS!!!! If you like a lot of butter in your food, this is gonna be the place for you! Service was all very kind and accommodating. Very ample space for parties of all sizes. The live music and bar area were great!

We were in town for a wedding and were told to eat here by multiple locals when asking Sunday brunch recommendations before heading back home. The Grove seems like a lot of things. There's a few different indoor dining areas, an indoor bar with more relaxed seating, an outdoor patio dining area, a live music mini amphitheater that had a solo lady serenading our Sunday brunch, and there's a large venue building and outdoor area off to the side. We sat outside in the patio area because the weather was perfect, and enjoyed the free show while sampling their brunch menu. Service was very personable and attentive, and I noticed it wasn't just our server. It looked like they put a lot of focus on making diners feel welcome, helping them navigate the menus, joking with the tables, answering questions, etc. The brunch menu had the greatest hits you'd expect and both of our choices came out quickly and tasty. Their cocktail menu has some great concoctions as well if you're looking for something spirited to go along with your eggs. Long story short, from our out of towner one visit perspective, I'd tell others to check out The Grove if you're in Tyler and looking for some good food and service in a beautiful surrounding.

Great dining experience this evening. It was sister's bday & she chose here. Also chose to sit outside. Amazing weather in February! Had ideas looking over the menu. Our waitress Anna changed our ideas. She suggested Beef Wellington appetizers, Lobster & Filet. Sister chose a kale & quinoa salad. Surprisingly good. Pear and a nice vinaigrette complemented it. Sis chose the ahi poke bowl. Everything was really good. Finished with espresso martini & crème brûlée. Anna had great character, cute smile, Nice artwork on 1 arm & a little avocado tattoo on the other. The artist played his guitar & sang songs but made them his own. Highly recommended this place!

We went to The Grove for a cocktail reception. It was on an outdoor venue that was nice and the weather was perfect as was the service. The appetizers were pretty good but a little messy and hard to eat. The live music was nice. Be prepared for a lot of little kids that are unsupervised and very loud (lots of running and yelling).

I was faced with a predicament that most men face at least once in their life - where to eat dinner after your propose to your girlfriend. While the Grove is the not the nicest restaurant in town, it happened to be the spot that me and said girlfriend shared our first date years ago. I thought it would be a great pick for the occasion. To ensure service was top notch, I spoke to the manager and requested his best server for the night. When we went in 2022, the Grove was average. Nothing stood out but the ambiance. When we came back in 2025, there was no better place we could have spent our engagement dinner - and that is thanks to our wonderful server - Lourden (spelling?) The ambiance here is really fun and unique. Great lighting, intimate setting and great table spacing. The chef had special entrees prepared for our evening that were not on the menu - lamb chops and fish with lobster. The appetizer (beef Wellington and wedge salad) were so fresh. The Wellington was incredibly flaky and melted in your mouth. Lourden ensured that we were taken care of from start to finish. The drinks she recommended were delicious and custom tailored to our tastes. It was just a fun night. Exactly what I had hoped for, but more than I genuinely expected. They delivered when I needed them to most. Give the Grove a try!!

This is a cute spot we just found. The bar has a near vibe and we were here on a Friday night with live music outside. Just a lovely evening. Our server Braeden was wonderful and helped move our meal along as we were headed to a show. The food was delicious! We had the beef Wellington appetizer, definitely worth it! The hubs had the blackened fish special (halibut tonight) that was delightful. He is continuing to say "yum". I had the knife and fork Cesar, the house made dressing was very good, the seasoning on the chicken was also "yum". We are already talking about who we want to bring back.

Always just a phone call, email, or even text message away to answer all my questions! My family and I tried to resolve this with their event manager first. She refused to give us the owner's info. When we finally got it from another source, we wanted to give the owner a chance to make things right but she did nothing. We cared about our wedding a lot, especially after having to make the heartbreaking decision to reschedule from 2020. If you are planning a wedding I know you care too and so I feel obligated to to warn people to NOT book at Lake Tyler Petroleum Club. They were blatantly greedy throughout the entire process and the for the quality of service provided was poor. LTPC insisting they "had to charge us because of the fees from vendors" was dishonest. I asked every single vender what their fee had been to only be informed there hadn't been a fee. Charging us for changing the date in the first place due to a pandemic that quite literally shut down the world and our state is wrong. The lack of communication amongst their staff is glaring and their unprofessionalism in their emails appalling. (They accidentally forwarded me an email thread where they had clearly been talking badly about me!) DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!

I can not say enough about this perfect venue!! My older sister got married here in 2010 and I…read morefollowed suit in 2016...both experiences were absolutely perfect!! I chose to get married outside because my wedding was in October, and I can't even put into words how beautiful it was. The whole bridal party kept saying "I can't even believe this place exists in East Texas!" I had a very large bridal party (11 bridesmaids) and the dressing room accommodated everyone very comfortably even with our hair/makeup team in there. As silly as it sounds, the bridal suite was the one thing I was picky about while I was "venue shopping" and the Villa certainly has that part figured out! We opened the doors to the patio and had the most relaxing/stress free day of getting pampered! The reception room is so elegant and very spacious with a built in bar area. I could write a book on this place but words just don't do it justice! Not only is the venue amazing, but their team of coordinators/owners are the absolute BEST. Rhonda and Bonnie made sure every detail was taken care of so that I didn't have to stress about a single thing. We hired Laura Ann Herrington as our planner for the rehearsal and wedding day, and she was also fabulous!! Don't miss out on this place if you are looking for a venue--it is simply PERFECT.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with this wedding venue, particularly with the…read moremanagement, lack of communication, transparency regarding pricing, and unwillingness to work with clients. We booked this venue approximately a year ago, and during that time there have been multiple changes in management. McCall is the current manager, and unfortunately, my experience with her communication and customer service has been extremely frustrating. Pricing, expectations, and additional costs have not been communicated clearly or in a timely manner. My biggest issue has been the bar. When I booked the venue, the information presented to me led me to understand that the bar was included as part of the overall venue pricing. Throughout nearly an entire year of wedding planning, I was never effectively informed that I would be responsible for a separate $1,500 bar expense. Instead, FIVE DAYS before my wedding, I received an unexpected invoice for approximately $1,500 for the bar. Receiving an additional expense of that amount just days before your wedding is incredibly stressful, especially when that expense had never previously been clearly itemized on the invoices I had received. When I expressed my concerns to McCall, I did not feel that there was any empathy or genuine attempt to understand the situation. Instead, she referred me back to the contract and stated that it was ultimately my responsibility to review the contract. I completely understand that clients are responsible for reviewing the contracts they sign. However, my issue is that the contract and invoices I had been provided throughout the planning process did NOT clearly identify or itemize a separate $1,500 expense for the bar. The pricing showed what I was paying for the venue as well as an additional ad-on for the photo booth, which I knowingly agreed to. There was never a similar itemized breakdown showing that I would owe an additional $1,500 for the bar. What is especially frustrating is that only FIVE DAYS before my wedding, the contract/invoice was then revised to include and itemize the bar expense. Prior to that revision, throughout the entire time I had been planning and making payments, that $1,500 bar charge had never once been clearly itemized on my invoice. To then add the charge to the paperwork five days before the wedding and refer me back to the contract as though this expense had been clearly presented to me all along was extremely frustrating. If a client is expected to pay an additional $1,500 for a required service, that expense should be clearly disclosed, itemized, and communicated from the beginning--not added to an invoice five days before the wedding. The situation is even more frustrating because clients are not given the flexibility to choose their own bar vendor or seek a more affordable alternative. The venue requires the use of its bar services, yet in my experience, the associated cost was not made transparent until days before the wedding. After investing a significant amount of money into a wedding venue, I expected professionalism, transparency, empathy, and timely communication. Instead, when I raised a legitimate concern about an unexpected $1,500 expense just days before my wedding, I felt dismissed rather than supported. Wedding planning is stressful enough without receiving a surprise $1,500 invoice five days before the wedding for something you understood to be included in your original pricing. Based on my personal experience, I strongly encourage anyone considering this venue to request a detailed, itemized breakdown IN WRITING of every expense before signing and throughout the planning process--including the venue, bar, required vendors, ad-ons, service fees, and any other potential charges. Keep copies of your original contracts and invoices as well so that you have a clear record of what was and was not itemized when you booked.
