Bridget really made the experience enjoyable. She was very welcoming and made us feel comfortable from the beginning. What stood out to me was how involved she is with the residents and how much effort she puts into making sure they stay active, social, and have things to look forward to. There are always different activities going on, including games, music, dancing, social events, and exercise activities that help keep the residents moving and involved.I also really loved seeing the special things they do for the residents, especially the way they recognize and honor their veterans and celebrate residents' birthdays. Those little things make such a difference and show that the residents are truly cared about as individuals. The staff at Dale Commons were all wonderful as well. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and I enjoyed being able to interact with the residents. You can really see the relationships that Bridget and the staff have built with the residents and how comfortable they are with them. Overall, volunteering at Dale Commons was a great experienc. I enjoyed my time there and appreciated being able to see a senior living community that puts so much effort into keeping its residents active, involved, and celebrated. Bridget and the entire staff helped make it an experience I will remember.

I had gone to get the car, and when I came back around, my mom stood up and suddenly started falling backward. This amazing bus driver, who was truly an angel, reacted instantly and got behind my mom just in time to catch her before she hit her head on the cement. Her quick thinking, kindness, and compassion made all the difference in that moment. I am beyond grateful for what she did and wish I knew her name so I could thank her personally. When the time comes that my mother is ready for assisted living, Dale Commons is absolutely where I will be sending her. Staff members like this bus driver are one in a million, and her actions showed just how much the residents truly matter.

I see the name of this facility has changed its name and perhaps ownership. I had left a review for…read moreEvergreen Assisted Living facility back in 2015, but I see that my review was moved to a facility in Georgia that may or may not exist. This facility is in Modesto, CA. I know it's likely that the staff has entirely turned over and that the attending physicians may no longer be associated, but I think it's imperative to inform the public about what kind of history this place has had. My brother deserved so much better than what he got from this location. My brother had been in the hospital from complications with diabetes and infection. He had his leg amputated below the knee. He had become extremely thin and frail from his illness and was sent to Evergreen to recover. With no one available to get him anything from the store, he wheeled himself up there. He tipped his wheelchair off the curb somehow and broke his hip. When he was able to get back to the facility they (attending physicians) refused him pain medication and (staff) refused to call an ambulance for him. They made him AMA out of the facility to take a cab to the ER. Memorial Medical Center refused to treat him. An angry (rightfully so) amputee in a wheelchair, with a broken hip was refused service by an ER! Unable to go back to this facility that forced him to leave AMA, he had to call another cab to take him to a motel where he fell again in the bathroom, exacerbating his injury. He was finally taken by emergency services to a real hospital, DMC, and was finally treated properly. Had to have pins put in his upper thigh, a hip replacement and everything. All of this to say, be very careful with this place. RIP, Rick.

The problem I find is that when I call to speak to my family member the staff love to dodge calls regarding attempts to reach my family member which is just intolerable...here you have someone who is ill and there's no way to reach him? The resident/patient phone line rings chronically busy...I don't know if someone is leaving the phone off the hook or what...but I never can get through to this person I care about. Some highly irresponsible people working there with bad attitudes who just do not want to do anything to help...VERY LAZY!
