Once we decided to have my son's wedding at Kylan Barn, Samantha Tyndall worked with us tirelessly to ensure every single detail was perfect! We hired Kylan Barn's Decoration/Flower Design Group to convert the venue into a romantic and elegant place where nature and beauty came together to make the perfect setting for our wedding reception. Samantha turned into a reality every single idea we had and complemented them making them even better. I remember when I entered the venue the day of the reception. I fell in love with it! We also hired the wedding coordinator who ensured everything was in the right place. The coordinator made our day stress free. I want to thank Kyle, Samantha, and their staff for making my son's wedding reception an unforgettable one! I recommend them 100%!

Kylan Barn is absolutely beautiful and a wonderful place to get married. I fell in love with the…read morewoods ceremony site and the barn fit my husband and I perfectly. Our wedding took place in October of 2024. The day, weather, and event were perfect! However, the planning of my wedding was a completely different story. We do not live in the Delmar area so we hired Sam, the coordinator, for full service, which started once our contract was signed. I now know this to be a complete waste of money, waste of time, and the cause of a lot of unnecessary stress. My husband and I traveled to Delmar twice, and my husband alone once, after signing the contract. Sam planned our schedule both times we went down together to get in all of the wedding needs that we had, and managed to mess up the schedules both times. We were given inaccurate meeting times with our vendors, incomplete information regarding where we are meeting, and she canceled an accommodations viewing (which we wanted to see) without telling us. When we contacted her, she rudely informed us that she was busy. Sam presented herself as a florist to us and charged florist prices, after hiring her, we found out that she wasn't actually a florist, just something she did on the side. My bouquet, while lovely, was so heavy that by the end of my short ceremony my arms and shoulders hurt. My archway, while also lovely, was not as colorful as I had requested multiple times and Sam reassured me it would be. However, when seeing these things the day of, there is little that can be done. These are just a couple of the issues that we experienced. We also had communication issues; including extreme delays in responses to simple questions. The part that sent me over the edge was Sam telling lies about my husband and I to our vendors, making a mistake with our headcount (costing me more than $700 extra), and not taking any responsibility for her mistake. Sam contacted us with what she believed was the final headcount, we are not totally sure where she got the number from, however, the headcount was off by 10 people. We responded to her email within less than 2 hours correcting the headcount. Sam contacted the caterer days later and provided them with the wrong headcount. Sam later reported to the caterer that my husband and I had requested the headcount change after the deadline had past. When we confronted Sam and asked how she was going to account for her mistake, again she provided us with vague answers. She eventually made her coworkers, who were all very lovely and helpful, cover some of the lost money, but I was still out almost $300 because of her mistake. When we continued to push and asked how she is going to make that cost up, she eventually threaten to cancel our event. With that, we had no choice but to overnight her the last payment, costing us even more extra money, so that she wouldn't cancel the event we spent over a year planning. By the time all was said and done, Sam had cost us more than $300 extra due to her mistake, delays, and unwillingness to correct her mistake, and an immeasurable amount of unnecessary stress. Dealing with Sam during the planning process was so difficult, stressful, and irritating that on the day of, I had to have other people be the go between for her and I because I was so worried that she would cause even more stress. To sum it all up, I would highly recommend Kylan Barn for a wedding venue. If barns are your thing, you will absolutely not be disappointed. However, I STRONGLY recommend that you save your money and not hired Sam. I did not list all of the crazy that went on, believe it or not there was more, but I think this is enough to demonstrate Sam's lack of professionalism, experience, and respect for the couples she works with. And before someone attempts to say that I am lying or exaggerating, I actually have it all in writing via email and text, including emails from my vendor with the lies that Sam told about my husband and I. Best of luck to all couples planning their wedding, I hope this honest review was helpful.

The Holiday Inn manager, Ann refused to apologize and falsely accused me and my family member for the disgusting state of the hotel room due to her poor managment, quality control and housekeeping. Laurie and the breakfast attendant were wonderful! They get a 5/5. Ann would get zero based on her nasty attitude and poor customer service. She knows that none of that furinture had been cleaned for months. March 3rd my elderly, disabled relative who was wearing a mobility boot and I checked out of our room early because a large bug was on my bed and the overall lack of cleanliness we discovered in the full sunlight. I called the front desk several times from my cell phone (because the room phone was broken) and finally spoke to Silas around 8 am and asked him to come inspect the room. He said he couldn't and would have to wait until the manager arrived around 9-9:30. We checked out and I called around 12 when I didn't hear anyone. Around 2 pm, the manager Ann W called and said she inspected the room with a 3rd party and they confirmed that it was a ladybug, "the room was utilized" and she found nothing wrong with the room. I asked her again, did she personally inspected the room and found it to be clean. She said yes - she couldn't tell what we did to the room versus the state of the room before we came. I told her that was insulting. She didn't apologize. I asked how could we leave the following stains on the furniture between 8pm and 8am the following day: - old, crusty white stains and dried spills on the desk chair, the sofa - dried red/black stains behind the toilet and in the refrigerator -hair in the shower that doesn't match our color, length or texture? I told her we had pictures and she said she did too and repeated that the room was fine and added had there been a problem we could have been moved. Laurie can confirm that she showed me another room when I checked in and I requested that room to be cleaned before she realized I had a reservation for another room. Laurie was wonderful she tried to help us with the thermostat and the phone which were both broken. Ann W. was smug, dismissive, and disrespectful for implying that we could be responsible for old stains from previous guests and poor housekeeping. We drove over 3 hours and I was sick and needed the handicap-accessible room. We ate in the lounge and only had enough time to sleep and left early. Our trip was cut short because of the bad experience.
