Having zero interest in attempting to groom Turbo myself, I took him to here thanks to Yelp. The owner and staff are friendly and efficient. He'll show you a catalog so you can pick out the hair style. As expected, some are pretty ridiculous looking, especially for Yorkie's. You need to book an appointment ahead of time as they are very busy. I dropped him off around 11am and he was ready around 3pm. When I picked Turbo up he looked like a brand new dog, and happy to boot. What was funny is the owner tells me 'maybe you should learn to groom him yourself. He was very fiesty and took 2 hours to groom'. That's my boy. I also used their doggy daycare service for some good doggy socializing. It's pretty expensive (around $30 with tip), but I've never seen Turbo so happy. Turbo approved. read more

at first, she was very good with the haircuts on the puppies. As she got busier, she just started shaving the dogs. The pups nails were so sharp they would cut your arms constantly. Not recommended read more

Groom Room butchered my puppies first hair cut. It is uneven, there are parts under her chin where they used a razor, parts that are a 1/4 inch long, parts 1/2 in, 1 inch parts and so on. It looks terrible. Their excuse is that my cockapoo has wavy hair so it grows in different directions. They didn't know how to groom this type of hair so they gave her a second haircut to try and fix the first haircut, and the result is that they have destroyed my puppies beautiful coat. They did all of this without asking my permission. A decent groomer would have been honest and say they don't have the skills for wavy hair. read more

THEY HURT MY DOG. They dropped my dog, they forced and bent his legs, and injured him. Unethical, irresponsible, and unprofessional workers. TRUST THE ONE STAR REVIEWS. I asked for a nail trim. The male with the glasses picked up my medium sized corgi without supporting his behind. He only supported him around his stomach which led my corgi's bottom half to be hanging uncomfortably. While holding him (without supporting him fully) my corgi squirmed, and he dropped my dog onto the floor. He then held my dog in the air but closer to the ground while the lady with purple? hair just forcibly cut his nails in the air (my dog was not placed on a table). She grabbed my dog's legs forcibly in directions I don't believe dogs legs should be while my dog is in such distress and crying loudly. I asked for the service to stop as my dog was so upset and I have never seen him like this. When confronted for an explanation, they said that my dog was poorly behaved compared to usual, and that they ALWAYS cut medium sized dogs' nails like that (one person carrying the dog while the other person cuts in the air). I paid and left, only to find BLOOD ALL OVER MY PANTS. MY DOG'S NAILS WERE TRIMMED WAY BEYOND THE QUICK AND HE WAS BLEEDING. When I returned to show them, they lied that they had told me about the bleeding nail and that they had treated it with a powder, and again, took no responsibility or was apologetic in any way. At this point, I realized there was no point in talking about the situation because they were not taking ownership - in fact, they were proud about their unethical practice. Just please, don't take your dog here. I've only ever posted 5 star reviews so I really want to warn everyone about Groom Room. We've been coming here as a loyal customer since my dog was a puppy for nail trims but will never be back. read more

I would give zero star. The place is really dirty, and when I pointed this out the manager said they were too busy to clean but was standing around doing nothing. I took my 7lb Schnoodle after telling him over the phone I needed to be with him and he said no problem. When I got there he picked up my puppy (no introduction or petting him or anything) and started walking away as I was still talking to him and my puppy was freaking out. (looking back I should have just walked out). A complete stranger just grabbed him. Then he got the groomer to come out and cut his nails and she says, the lighting here isn't very good and it's hard to cut black nails. I said this is why I brought him in because I cut the wick. She took a tiny little bit off and when I said that didn't make much difference, the the manager says it's better to use dremmel, she quickly used it (took her less then 2 mins with me holding my dog and giving him treats). I paid the $15 but then looking closer at the nails I realized the nails were still uneven and rough. I asked for my money back and the manger stood ther and argued with me for 30 mins. I tld him I would be taking my dog to another place to get them done properly. The most rude and unprofessional manager. Do not take your dog there. He shoudl have his license removed for the palce being so dirty, mold on the doors and pet hair all over the carpet when you walk in. Not sure why the manager runs a place when he doesn't even seem to like dogs......oh yeah, because of the $$$$. Trust the 1 star reviews. read more

This is the first time I've tried this place, and I just regret that I haven't done this sooner! The front dest was super friendly and energitic, and the staffs seemed to have took care of Peanut very well. Thank you for all the profesionalism and will be back soon enough! read more

We have a two year old Lagotto. We have used the Groom room for everyone of his haircuts but the last two visits the quality of the cut has significantly decreased. His cut at the beginning of summer was worth a single star but we thought maybe it was a new groomer ......nope as this second cut is worth no stars. We just picked him up and we are not impressed. His his snout is very short and uneven so he resembles a poodle and nothing like his formal self. They even cut is long eye lashes which is a bit of a trademark of the breed. The $150 price tag??? I think I could have done a better job. Beyond disappointed and will never be going back. Good luck to anyone that uses them. read more

Love this place, and I (am guessing) my dog does too! He always comes home with a nice clean, super cute haircut, and you can tell the owner and employees really care about dogs. :) I don't go too often but they always remember mine. They are also quite nice about letting me pick him up later in the day around closing, whereas I had some other groomers force me to pick him up within 1-2 hours of completing his cut and wash. Highly recommend the Groom Room if you live in the area. read more

My dog is a rescue and for as long as i've had him (6 years) he HATES his feet being touched. I've tried various groomers and even vets to get his nails trimmed. But no one has been able to do all four paws. One MAYBE. His anxiety issues skyrocket and makes it impossible to do them. However, The Groom Room, i live near by and on a whim stopped in and asked. Not only were they an amazing price, took him in immediately... they rocked out getting all four paws done. Im over the moon with finding a spot who can handle it and is wonderful at doing so. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Im sure my dog feels like a million bucks having them trimmed so well too. :) read more

This is the third time I take my dog for grooming here. The job is unprofessional. The haircut is very uneven and they missed to trim one of the paws of my dog. Also for bathing , I'm sure they just rinsed my dog with a very light shampoo, her paws are still not completely cleaning and her hair on the body is not fluffy after " rinse " . They didn't clean my dog thoroughly after cutting her hair . They charge me $84 + tips for a small dog ( 12lbs). Then my husband called and left a message regarding the concern, never returned our call. read more

WARNING!..Just brought our dog in for the Spring shave and groom and they did a HORRIBLE JOB!. They obviously rushed the job because 1) They did a bad shave with bumps all over his fur but even WORSE 2) They cut his anus area with the clippers as he'd been scooting for days after the groom. I didn't notice anything obvious until day 3 when the cuts had started to heal and scab!. DO NOT GO TO THIS GROOMER AND STICK WITH THEIR COMPETITOR NEXT DOOR...Unleashed Dog Spa. I wanted to originally go with them, but they were' booked all week...for good reason, they are way BETTER than Groom Room . I called them to make amends but got nothing but " ohhhh, sorry" Bad business! read more

This is the first professional grooming place that I brought my 2 year old Pomeranian after a HORRIBLE experience with Petsmart. I found that my dogs haircut look alright but the one thing that bothered me was that he was crated after he had been groomed! (This was of course after they had renovated and had the play area). This upset me because since he was little he has never experience being in a crate before and so when I got him, he was quiet and hesitant for a few hours... makes me wonder if it was the crate or if they did something to him.... read more

I like taking my dog Mr.Snuggles to the Grooom Room. Since J.J.the owner moved a few doors down, the new place is even more spacious. This means for space for the dogs to play. It's also bright, clean and modern looking too. Since I bring Snugs to J.J. on a regular basis, he keeps on file the specifications for grooming Snugs on file. This means he doesn't have to ask me everytime. During the summer, I'd ask J.J. to cut a more fur off. After Snugs' day at the salon, he smells really nice for the next few days. His service maybe a bit more but you can leave your dog there for the whole day. So you can drop off your dog before work and pick him up after work. How convienient!!! read more

This place is busy, busy, busy! I had to book my appointment almost a week in advance and when I got there the phone was ringing non-stop. A good sign I think. Awesome set up, you can see your pets being groomed through a giant glass window. Clean, organized. Big play area for the pets. Staff was kind and efficient. My little cutie will continue to receieve her lion cut from The Groom Room. read more

Rip off! $70 bath and does not include a nail trim or ear clean. Picked up my dog just now and I had to brush his ears out more and clean his feet. And trip his nails and wipe out his not very dirty ears. Never taking my dog back there. Also it seems dogs just want to get out of there whenever I have taken my clients dogs there. read more

I love this place! I took my two Brussels Griffons there for their first cuts ever. Jay Jay is great, he took the time to go over every detail of the cut. When he had questions later in the day he even called me to make sure he was doing exactly what I wanted. I've also taken them in for nail trims with the girls who work there. My youngest dog is EXTREMELY TIMID and is terrified of people yet she is fine when she is with the staff there. They are very gentle and calming for the dogs. I highly recommend this place. read more

Rambo always comes home very happy, fluffy and smelling great:) I have never been to the salon as my husband always drops him off so I cannot comment on the location, but I hear it's new and spacious. Our poor lil guy has been to some awful places. One place cut his nails way too short and he was bleeding everywhere. Another place he came home with his tail between his legs terrified! Rambo always comes home from the Groom Room a VERY HAPPY dog. read more

I have to continue to praise this place. We moved to the US and I took my dog to a groomer in San Jose that couldn't handle her sensitivities towards humans. I have taken my labradoodle here for over 2 years now. They know exactly how I like his cut to be. They always use hypoallergenic shampoo and make him feel extra special. Super unhappy with this place. My poor puppy went in for a nail trim and they went all the way down to the quick so her paws are super sensitive right now. They didn't even round her nails off like most groomers would and we can't even fix it until her nails grow back enough that it won't hurt her to do so. read more

This salon is only good for smaller dogs. I have a large breed dog who is friendly with all breeds of dog no exceptions. They keep the large breed dogs in a small room while all the smaller dogs are free to play in the play area. For my money I'll find a place that doesn't segregate my dog from the others and make him feel alienated. I will say they did a good job at cleaning him and I didn't feel as though I paid too much. read more

I have been taking my little furry guy to the Groom Room for about 2 years. The owner always remembers us and knows what to do, is consistent, friendly, and professional. My doggie always comes back looking like a million bucks. I like that they carry skin sensitive oatmeal base shampoos in their product line. The owner always takes into account what would look best for my doggie. Out of all the groomers I've been to in the past 11 years, The Groom Room is definitely the best experience and I would recommend it to anyone. read more

We've been taking our dog Bandit for several years here. But we are not coming back. These people do not treat pets with care. When we went to pick up our dog this last time, we found him in a tiny kennel, which was super cramped, with the hair dryer blowing directly onto his face without supervision and for who knows how long. Bandit looked miserable and was very warm when we got him out of that kennel. We were absolutely appalled. It's no wonder Bandit trembles with anxiety and cries whenever we took him there. It's gotten to the point where we can't go by that street without him trembling and crying with anxiety. He's genuinely afraid that we will leave him at these groomers. We don't even want to imagine what other things they've done to our dog. If you're looking for new groomers, definitely skip this place. read more

Are you tired of your dog coming out of a grooming salon with a standardized puppy cut that in no way reflects the subtleties of your breed? Well I went in for our first visit and had sent a couple of pictures of how I would like my Havana Silk to look. The owner was incredibly attentive and wrote down all my niggling requests. Having examined my dog's coat and the condition, he explained what he could achieve. He also offered to brighten up my woof's white coat. In a very timely manner, we were phoned and advised that our dog was ready. He looked spectacular with beautiful hand scissoring. It's the best grooming that my Hav has received in five years. Nor was my dog in any hurry to leave their premises. I can only surmise that he loved being pampered. I'm convinced that dogs know when they look beautiful! read more

Best CAT GROOMER in the city! JJ was so fast and such a pro, we had taken one of our cats elsewhere and were told he was extremely aggressive when we left him with them. JJ let my husband come in the back and hold the cat and I got to watch the entire thing through their big windows - nothing is hidden from you at this place. JJ is so confident and quick that the cats had no time to get feisty, they were docile little kittens! He did lion cuts on our 2 huge Ragdolls in less than an hour and for the same price that we paid for ONE cat at the other place!! Really wish we had found Groom Room first, I was beyond impressed. Thank you JJ! read more

My Goldendoodle received excellent care at the Groom Room. He needed a good overall trim but I wanted to retain the "teddybear" look and the owner understood exactly what I meant.
