Canyon, the young owner and entrepreneur behind The Grill Guy, is absolutely FANTASTIC. Because he has tiered services depending on what type of job might be required, I humbly and somewhat helplessly sent him over a video of my grill and basically said, "Well, this is what it looks like, let me know what you think I need." It would have been VERY easy for him to load me up with unnecessary cleaning options (spoiler alert: I am not an expert in grill cleaning, hence finding The Grill Guy on Yelp), especially because he was commuting to Pasadena from (I believe) Santa Clarita, but he took a look at the video and said, "Nah man, you just need the most basic, simple, cheapest service that I offer." Big points for Canyon right there. Honest man. THEN, when it turned out that I needed to change our appointment because of a work conflict, he said, "Why don't you just send me a video of how to get into your back yard and I'll just do it. When you get home, check it, and I'll send you an invoice." HUGELY helpful. It made me think about how I've been burned SO many times by, "Can you be available from 10am-2pm?" and then the person shows up at 2:17 pm after I've already sacrificed four hours of my time. This could NOT have been easier. I wound up being home after all, but I didn't NEED to be there, nor did I need to block hours off out of my day, which is enormous. Had my 40 inch built in grill for 11 years and have only cleaned it a hand full of times (except for brushing the grates after each bbq). Was looking at getting a new bbq but decided to do a detailed cleaning so I called the Grill Guy. Canyon called back that same day and asked for pictures of my grill and scheduled a time a few weeks out. He showed up when he said he was going to and looked at the grill and said there was a few areas he may not be able to get super clean, but will do his best. The grill again is 11 years old and definitely needed a deep cleaning so what ever he could do would be better than what was there. He spent 5 hours cleaning the inside and outside of the grill, cleaning the small holes of the burners that some of them have been clogged for so many years. What a transformation! After many hours of hard work the grill looked great and worked better than it had been in years. He found one of the burners to be rusted out and was willing to look up the part and order us one but did say not to use that one for now. He also did a fine job of cleaning up the area and even cleaned our sink near the bbq. He seasoned the grill with olive oil afterwards and said he would check back in 3 months to see about a follow up. Canyon is your grill guy and will refer him to friends and family. A+++++ read more

I shopped around for BBQ deep cleaning and The Grill Guy was the most professional, got back to me with a quote and a date to clean. I had a greasy, encrusted smoker that had not been cleaned since I bought it new 2015, and a newish Weber propane grill that wasn't heating up. Canyon gave me a very reasonable estimate through Yelp, we agreed on a time and he showed up ready to go. He explained everything that he would be doing and got to work.
