A classic story of laziness - I was about to throw some beef ribs on the smoker when I noticed it looked dirty. But it was getting late and I didn't have time to clean the grill. So I decided to just cook the ribs anyways and give the grill a nice cleaning afterwards. That was my first big mistake. Cue the subsequent grease fire. In a state of panic I used a chemical fire extinguisher on the grill. That was my second big mistake. In addition to throwing away 10 pounds of beautiful beef ribs, I also put my grill in a state of needing a deep clean before I can use it again, thanks to the extinguisher residue. I sent out a yelp request for a quote on a deep cleaning. Several companies got back to me with varying levels of professionalism. Many asked the exact same questions I already answered in the quote request. Others asked for photos that were already provided in the quote request. When The Grill Guy responded and it was like the parting of the Red Sea. His response actually addressed every part of my quote request. He acknowledged the fire extinguisher and explained how he would take care of it. And the price quoted was significantly better than the others that I received. I had my guy! Over text, Canyon and I went over some final details like the date and time and the total price after add-ons. He sent me a nice professional invoice and we were all set for him to do the job. On the day of the cleaning, Canyon showed up on time, explained what he would be doing, and got right to work. He had a ton of equipment and clearly knew what he was doing. I was interested in the process so I observed it for a little bit but overall gave him space to do his job. After a few hours he was finished and the grill looked amazing, nearly brand new. I used it the next day and it was so great to finally smoke some meats again! I was beyond pleased with the service. Canyon was extremely professional, friendly, and thorough. He did a fantastic job cleaning my grill. He is a young man and his level of professionalism is extremely impressive. I would totally hire him again next time I need work done on my grill. After my grill has been sitting dormant since last fall, I walked out to it one day last week with my tools and my degreaser and decided I'd try to tackle cleaning it up. I raised the lid and took one look at it and decided that its condition was way beyond my abilities. So I began searching for a fairly-priced grill guy who knows what he's doing. I literally cannot say enough great things about Canyon and what an amazing job he did. I found him on Yelp and I figured with all these great reviews I felt good about it. We texted to set up a time that worked, and he was able to fit me in before my July 4th BBQ, which was amazing. He arrived when he said he would and to my surprise, he deemed my grill, "not all that bad, actually". Ok by me. I left him to it, and he lugged all his supplies and degreased and scrubbed and made the grill look like new. I was legit blown away by the condition he was able to get it to. Not only did he clean it perfectly, he also cleaned up after himself like he was never there. He took the waste water with him and when he was gone the whole area was spotless. The photos of the grill speak for themselves, and he's a great guy. I also want to mention that I thought the cost was more than fair. I am extremely happy with the job that Canyon did cleaning my 34" DCS grill. It almost looks brand new. He was quickly responsive by text message and provided a formal estimate (very fair) after I texted over a few photos of my grill. He was able to come the next day. Canyon is very organized with all of his equipment and cleaners in crates which he carries to the grill location. He needed access to an electrical outlet, but that's all I had to provide. The entire job took him 4 hours. After that, I had mentioned that the grill's battery igniter was not working, and he fixed it in less than 5 minutes for no extra charge.
