I really would like to thank Pedro and his crew for the great job in repairing our iron fence. It was so rusted out that we didn't really think it was repairable. Pedro came out and gave us two estimates: one to replace and one to repair. Unfortunately I didn't have the budget to replace the entire thing so we had it repaired. The work took two days and the guys were super friendly. They first explained everything step of the job so we knew what to expect. They were careful not to damage the landscape and they didn't make a mess in the yard. READ THIS PART TO KNOW WHY I GAVE THEM 5-stars! The original welds on the top and bottoms were only welded on two sides of the material which left the other two sides with a gap. The gaps allowed moisture in the iron rods which accelerated the rust and corrosion. Pedro and the guys took the time to individually weld the top and bottoms of the rods on all four sides so know the entire fence is sealed. We just had our aging iron fence repaired and refurbished by Pedro Ruiz and Diligent Ironworks, and we would highly recommend them! The work we had done included replacing rusted-through rail and picket sections, replacing a loose post, prepping and painting the entire stretch of fence, and crafting a gate where there wasn't one before, using a section of the existing fence. The bid we received from Pedro was comparable to other bids for our job, but Pedro stood out for his experience, courtesy and professionalism, and we received rave reviews from the references he supplied. He understood that we had to wait for job approval from our HOA, which took a month or so, and then our job was scheduled. The crew (Mojo and Eric) were a pleasure to have at our home. They showed up promptly every day, set up whatever they needed, and worked, worked, worked with great attitudes, and cleaned up at the end of every day. I had several metal fence railings which were corroded or had holes. Several bottom rails and two fence posts that had come apart and were broken. I called Pedro Ruiz by phone and also left a message via Yelp. He responded that same day and arranged to promptly come over and provide an estimate. After an examination he provided a reasonable estimate based on the amount of work needed. He was informative and pointed out a fence post area which needed repair which I had not become aware of. A week later he came with 2 members of his crew. They were aided by a tripod machine which digs and excavates bases for gate posts, quite a gadget. They came at 7:30 am and were finished by 2:30pm. I'm pretty much a DIY guy. I get a little anxious when I have to contract others to work on my house for projects that are beyond my ability (i.e. welding).
