Pedro from Diligent Ironworks did an excellent job installing our pool safety gate. He was professional, knowledgeable, and very easy to work with throughout the process. What really stood out was that Pedro didn't just install the gate -- he helped us think ahead. We were in the middle of a pool build, and he took the time to explain pool safety requirements, how different placement options could affect inspection, and how to plan things so we wouldn't run into issues later. That kind of guidance was extremely helpful and reduced a lot of stress. The workmanship itself is solid and clean. The gate is self-closing and self-latching, the posts are straight, and everything looks well done. He communicated clearly, showed up when he said he would, and the pricing was very fair compared to other quotes we received. If you're looking for someone who not only does quality work but also helps you plan and avoid problems down the line, I highly recommend Pedro and Diligent Ironworks. read more

I had a good experience with Pedro from Diligent Ironworks. My iron gate had come off its hinges and needed someone to weld it back onto its hinges. Diligent Ironworks was prompt in getting back to me through Yelp, we discussed what we needed, he gave me a flat rate and said he would take care of it today. Pedro sent me photos of the completed work and it looked good. I recommend his service and will consider him for future projects involving other iron works around my property. read more

Fantastic job! I cannot recommend Pedro and the team at Diligent Ironworks enough! This is the second project they've done for me and they're just a top notch organization. They do amazing work! the first project was a gate for a trash container enclosure, and they did such a great job that, when I wanted to build a custom designed "Wendy" house like the one at the Huntington Gardens, I knew just who to call! Pedro designed and built my Wendy house exactly how I pictured it. Eventually it will be covered over with vines of creeping fig so I'll update my post when the vines grow in. But in the meantime, I wanted to show folks the quality of Diligent Ironworks work and mention that they gave me a great price. Thanks guys! I couldn't be happier with my new Wendy house! And just in time for Mother's Day! It's really fantastic to find such a great business. Diligent Ironworks is indeed diligent--honest, hardworking, creative, artistic, neat, punctual. They've got everything going for them, plus it's a family business. What's not to love?! read more

I really would like to thank Pedro and his crew for the great job in repairing our iron fence. It was so rusted out that we didn't really think it was repairable. Pedro came out and gave us two estimates: one to replace and one to repair. Unfortunately I didn't have the budget to replace the entire thing so we had it repaired. The work took two days and the guys were super friendly. They first explained everything step of the job so we knew what to expect. They were careful not to damage the landscape and they didn't make a mess in the yard. READ THIS PART TO KNOW WHY I GAVE THEM 5-stars! The original welds on the top and bottoms were only welded on two sides of the material which left the other two sides with a gap. The gaps allowed moisture in the iron rods which accelerated the rust and corrosion. Pedro and the guys took the time to individually weld the top and bottoms of the rods on all four sides so know the entire fence is sealed. To me, that's going the extra mile to earn future business and recommendations. Diligent will be my go-to for any iron work and referrals! Thank you again! read more

Pedro and his crew were absolutely AMAZING! I have worked with Pedro on other iron projects smaller projects for my flips and he has always done an amazing JOB! This time I hired him for my own personal home. Removing and replacing 250+ feet of perimeter fence! He is always so honest and fair priced. He doesn't lie, he makes suggestions and he does a thorough bid. Once we made the decision to move forward he scheduled me in 2-3 weeks ahead. Boy oh boy, when the day came to start, he and his crew arrived at 8am and they were off! These guys are machines, very clean and very well mannered! The job was completed in 5-6 days and done as promised and HOPED. If you want the best, give Pedro a ring! He will definitely take care of you. read more

We just had our aging iron fence repaired and refurbished by Pedro Ruiz and Diligent Ironworks, and we would highly recommend them! The work we had done included replacing rusted-through rail and picket sections, replacing a loose post, prepping and painting the entire stretch of fence, and crafting a gate where there wasn't one before, using a section of the existing fence. The bid we received from Pedro was comparable to other bids for our job, but Pedro stood out for his experience, courtesy and professionalism, and we received rave reviews from the references he supplied. He understood that we had to wait for job approval from our HOA, which took a month or so, and then our job was scheduled. The crew (Mojo and Eric) were a pleasure to have at our home. They showed up promptly every day, set up whatever they needed, and worked, worked, worked with great attitudes, and cleaned up at the end of every day. Pedro was also on site every day, and any concerns or questions were immediately dealt with. They finished our job with the addition of snake mesh (wire mesh that extends several inches into the ground) to replace the crummy old chicken wire that we had been using to try to keep pests out of the yard. We are thrilled with the results! read more

A wonderful experience from start to finish. Pedro is a professional who is great at what he does. Never once did he attempt to over-sell the situation or budget I presented, but was very thorough in his explanation of options, cost and timeframe. My side gate rotted at the post and all but collapsed (see pic 1). Pedro responded to my quote request promptly and we established a plan which was quickly carried out. (pic 2) There were no delays in the work and no unforeseen charges. All the interactions, in person, via phone or by text were clear, courteous and concise. I'm pretty much a DIY guy. I get a little anxious when I have to contract others to work on my house for projects that are beyond my ability (i.e. welding). I'm finicky about aesthetics and symmetry and I'm always afraid of having to point out something that looks out of place. Pedro and his team were on it. They clearly have the same attention to symmetry and quality as I expect from myself when I'm doing a project. I was even going to point out something that I wanted done a particular way (that could have easily been done differently given it was just a subjective choice), but before I could suggest it, they were already doing it -- even though it required more effort. I didn't have to say a word... though I did say something about them being mind readers. I knew then that I was not just dealing with a skilled team, but a team that cares. Professional, Highly skilled, friendly and personable. Pedro and his team at Diligent Ironworks are exceptional, and I could not recommend them more. I will be contracting them again.
