Had the green omelette and it was well cooked with the sauce adding a unique flair. I would recommend if you're in the neighborhood. We were looking for a quick place to sit down and get cappuccinos before our next excursion. Most places are closed on Sundays so this is the only place we could find in the area. It seemed very tourist driven which unfortunately makes the menu in my opinion very Americanized. None of the food items seemed appetizing (we could get any of the items in the states) so we just opted in for cappuccinos. Unfortunately, the cappuccinos were pretty watery. The service was good and the ambiance was nice, but I wish the food was better. read more

Absolutely in love with this place!! So many different dieting options scattered across the menu. I'm really impressed that they had vegetarian, vegan, low glycemic, and easily digestible items. They also have an English version and Spanish version of their menus. I'll say the menu is very diverse as far as food culture goes. They had middle eastern dishes, American dishes, asian dishes, and Mexican. Lots of options. I got the falafel burger and it was amazing. The crispy potato wedges on the side were so delicious. They give you a jar of vegan mayo to add to your burger if you like also, loved that. My friend got the Jamaican fluatas and said they were really good. Very reasonably priced, very good quality food. I would definitely eat here often if I was from around here. read more

I bought a couple of products that were old and had to throw away. I asked a question about a fruit in order to decide whether to buy or not (and bought based on the answer) and was told something that was not truth. If you ask, they'll tell you that all the produce is organic, but there is no sign or anything anouncing that it is, and if you you've ever seen real organic, you'll know that at list some of the vegetables they sell (like huge zucchini for example) cannot possibly be organic. I used to like this store and have known it for years, I do not find the employees answers to be thruthfull and have serious doubts about the produce being organic. I haven't tried the rest of the meats, but the chicken that they sell is so hard to chew is practically undedible. read more

Was really looking forward to a healthy meal and all 3 of us felt "meh" about our experience. The dishes were expensive and not particularly yummy - not bad either, just "meh." $180 for a bowl of steamed rice, under-steamed brussel sprouts (too hard to eat, really), and very yummy chicken tinga. They were out of avocado, so I asked for butter to put on the (kinda boring) melange. Then they chaged me $25 for a side of butter. The cappuccino iced drink looked beautiful but tasted watered down. Overall we didn't feel we got our money's worth here. If you want to spend $$$ on yuppie food Espiritu Sano is a better choice, IMO. read more

On a relaxed rainy evening, we stopped by for lentejas and a classic sandwich. We enjoyed both , although did feel like the sandwich was a bit dry. It would have been better with mayonnaise or special sauce to add some moisture. Prompt service and courteous staff is a plus. read more

Just before our trip for a Thanksgiving Dinner, we stopped for a quick lunch, and with 2 Spanish speakers it was told to the waiter that we are in a rush. And even the sandwiches were good (mine was tuna with potato wedges and the salad), still it took such a long time for the food to arrive. Granted the coffee was great (Americano or cappuccino don't remember). So food - 4 stars, service - 2 stars. read more

Came here on my trip to the city. It was pouring ouside and this place served teas. The food was reaally good, I ordered their falafel dish. So good, came with this really good carrot slaw. Definitely an alternative to the numerous taco stands. read more

I've been going to the Green Corner since 2005. It's stayed in business for good reason. It offers a good selection of organic products, and the employees make your visit a worthwhile one. This morning before doing my grocery shopping, I relaxed on their sidewalk cafe and enjoyed coffee with a bowl of whipped yogurt, fruit, cardamon, oats, peanut butter, and cinnamon. Id rate them a 4/5 on the food, (nice tuna sandwich for lunch with potatoes and salad) but we told them we were in a hurry and the service was much to slow for a few sandwiches. If they can increase the speed a bit for lunch this place could be great. Lotta people are always chilling by the tables so come by if you'd have time to kill. read more

This is a nice little cafe attached to a great organic food store. After shopping and spending too much money on goodies, I sat down outside with my dog at the adjacent cafe. The atmosphere is really great. The courtyard seating area is very green and pretty, and the staff was friendly. I ordered the "papas especiades" and the green salad. The food was beautifully presented, but not quite what I expected. I thought the potatoes had a strange consistency, but the flavor was pretty good. Served with a tomato sauce and a really thick honey mustard. The salad (beets, greens, cucumber, quinoa, and pepitas) was pretty as well, served with the same honey mustard dressing (a little redundant). The quinoa was cooked well (sometimes hard to do). I wish I could give it 3.5 because although the food didn't blow me out of the water, the place is very cute and the people very friendly. I'll try it again and update the post, or not. Oh yeah - the MUSIC! Hahaha, they were playing current country hits. I ate my lunch to the strains of "You lips taste like sangriaaaaaa..." Odd choice, but it made me laugh. ;-) read more

My first time eating at this place since it ales has a mini market which is the one I go when I pass by Mexico City, there were plenty of space and I was greeted immediately and handed a menu, their offer seems interesting. I've read other reviews, some negative that they don't change their menu that often, but I can't comment on that. I ordered an omelette with goat cheese and jitomate with fine herbs. It was fantastic!! Just right on point. Except the side salad....it was very mediocre, considering the exquisite omelette. For drinking I ordered a green juice, contained apples so I really liked it. I was a little more hungry and I ordered dessert. Their carrot cake was good too. A little too sweet but I don't mind that as much because I like sweets, maybe the frosting could be a little less quantity. I also ordered coffee, a cappuccino with almond milk, which to my taste was awful. They don't use fresh almond milk but the one that come in boxes and last longer. I know this for a fact because I've ordered before from another place and asked about the milk and it was just like that, the foam is weird and they heated the milk way too much, cappuccino is supposed to be served not hot at all. I told this to the waiter, that the cappuccino was the only thing I was not that happy about and he said that that's the way the milk is and the temperature was ok. We'll not to me, I didn't drink it and they charged me for it. I will come back to the mini market but will think twiçe if I go back to the restaurant. read more

The health food store was very well stocked and had gorgeous looking greens and other veggies. I would rate the store a 5. I went out of my way on our last day there to get a healthy lunch to go from the little cafe adjoining the store. Wow, was that a mistake!! I just imagined after seeing all the great produce in the store that they would have awesome salads, some healthy sandwiches or wraps...some green drinks, maybe some nice soups....but no, the healthiest thing I could come up with off the menu was a falafel. Fine, I love falafels..but this one was weak to say the least. Shredded wilted lettuce, no tomatoes, tasteless little fried nuggests and okay pita bread, the cucumber yogurt sauce was watery and boring. The coleslaw that came with it was over mayonaised and too sweet. I hate giving a bad review but this place bummed me out!! I will say there were people there eating breakfast with eggs and meats..that looked good but they didn't really have any healthy breakfast options either. read more
