As a former frame shop owner, I am very picky about custom framing. I also am partial to small businesses. The Great Frame Up is run by an incredibly talented framer. He has an eye for complimenting the art with the perfect mat & frame. I had a very sentimental 3D piece that I couldn't bring myself to leave at an impersonal big box store. Here, it never left his hands & I couldn't be happier with the tweaks he made to our original design. Support small businesses especially very good ones! read more

Ahn is my choice every time! He's framed rare antique posters from the 19th century and a 100-year-old tapestry from a French movie palace for me, among so much more. I started using him long ago when I lived in Swarthmore, today I travel to his shop in Springfield from my home in Mount Pocono. Worth the trip to get his eye for detail. It is unmatched. Creative, experienced, and truly an expert in every way--this is craftsmanship at its finest. read more

Highly recommended. There is a great selection of frames and mats, all very high quality. The three times that I have gone there has been the same guy (possibly the owner). He did a really good job and the turnaround time was only 7-10 days. He was even available to ship the frames though I chose to just pick them up a month later. PS this place is in the little strip mall; don't listen to apple maps. read more

From beginning to end, the customer service was excellent and the end product was framed beautifully!

I had a painting framed here several years ago and they did a great job. I stopped in yesterday because I needed hooks and new bumpers for the framed painting. Ang was kind enough to simply give them to me. While I was waiting, I looked around and noticed what lovely frames were available. Will definitely use him again. read more

Anh is, without a doubt, one of the best. I walked in with only a vague notion of what I wanted in my artworks frame, and he worked very patiently with me in building that notion into something tangibly amazing. On top of it all, I needed a quick turn around, and my custom frame was available 2 days later. I have not used any other services offered at this store, but if they are of the same caliber (or done by Anh), I have no doubts about the quality. If you need absolutely anything related to artwork or framing, this is the place to go. read more

The Great Frame Up - Pictures just can't do Anh's frame work justice, even better than I expected - Art Galleries Near Me - Springfield, Pennsylvania

Getting an old parchment framed was an enlightening experience at the Great Frame Up in Springfield. Anh is patient, knowledgeable, friendly yet professional. He was able to distinguish the difference between what I wanted and what I was asking. He also was able to acknowledge and explain the difference of my choices. In addition he offered gentle guidance and an educated eye in picking the perfect frame for the article. I had a wonderful experience that I will use again for my next professional framing need. Thank you, Anh and best regards for the New Year. read more

The owner Anh is a joy to chat with and super helpful with recommendations that match my artistic modern style. He masterfully created a framing solution for my Picasso sketch print that far exceeded expectations. See pics of my home and the now framed Picasso Print of 1935. I am looking forward to taking a few more of my treasures to him! read more

Would have given a 5 star review but last minute charges after his mess up that border line dishonesty / theft.

I had a picture that I got for free at a garage sale framed and it looks like a million bucks! I was going to hang it in the guest room, but now I'm thinking that it deserves a more visible location. I also two other pictures matted and they look fantastic! The owner of the Great Frame Up helped me pick a black matting and I love it. My art looks beautiful and the service was fantastic - I will definitely have all of my framing done here. read more

Worth every penny. We have had several pieces framed here over the last few years and have been very happy with them all. Ahn will go over the possible options, and you will be happy with the finished product. Outstanding small business. read more

Here's the short of it - Anh of The Great Frame Up is amazing framer, and the best person you could have to own a framing shop! He gives you what you need - Explanation... Education... Choice! I went at the advice of another Helper, and I'm happy I did! read more

After the frame broke on a very special painting I was glad I went to The Great Frame Up. Anh did a great job helping me pick the perfect replacement frame. He was very kind. He also recommended an appraiser for the painting and she was able to view the painting while it was in his shop saving me the trouble of that detail. I highly recommend using Anh for all your framing needs. read more

I came here a complete novice to the idea of framing art. Ahn took his time with my fiancee and I showing us what would work with the prints we came in. Ahn turned our cheap prints purchased online to fine pieces of art. To this day I still think it is money well spent. The prints took a little over 2 weeks to be done but it was well worth the wait. I am a fan and plan on coming back for custom framing in the future. read more

We have had several pieces of part framed by the proprietor of this business. He has excellent taste and has helped us make good choices about how to make the pieces look outstanding. He is easy to work with, interested in the artwork, engaged in the process of making the most of a piece. We recommend this business. read more

The great frame up did a great job on my autographed masters pin flag from Phil mickleson. The owner was very nice, knowledgable and is very trustworthy with your important merchandise... I liked the job so much I brought my us open pin flag to him so I could have matching frames, it's easy to spend a lot of money on frames but he will work with you so you are satisfied with not only the finished product but the price as well. Oh yea and the craftsmanship was top notch. read more

The Great Frame Up was my third stop on a mission to get an awkwardly sized print matted and framed. The two other stores were unable to meet my needs. The mat color I wanted was unavailable or just too small. Ahn had the color I wanted and a solution to sizing issue that none of the others suggested. Courteous, professional, and friendly (and beat the other quoted prices by $25), shopping at The Great Frame Up was a great experience. Go to the big box, coupon driven stores if you must, but give Ahn a shot and you may be pleasantly surprised. I was. read more

What an incredible store. I needed two custom frame jobs fast as gifts for my parents. I was leaving town Tuesday morning to go out of town to get married. The owner helped me pick the perfect frames and matting for my job. I wanted text printed and framed along side the pictures and he sized and printed that as well as scanning in perfect quality and printing the photos to be framed. I'm heading back today to have our Ketubah framed. This is a large watercolor painting in Hebrew calligraphy that is our actual marriage contract. I highly recommend this store for any special framing jobs - old photos, documents, ect. There are endless options for frames and matting- some more expensive than others. In terms of quality, attention to detail, flexibility, and customer service you cannot beat this store and it is worth every penny! read more

Professional, knowledgeable, personal service. Just had a custom framing job done here, I highly recommend it.

Wonderful experience working with Ahn! He spent a lot of time with me and was incredibly patient as I deliberated over many choices, having to frame multiple pieces. He made artistic, creative suggestions and offered both more and less expensive ways to accomplish my goals. He was professional and personable! Won't ever go anywhere else! read more

I had a recognition document that I wanted to frame for a relative, so I brought it to The Great Frame Up in Springfield. It came out spectacular. He helped me select the right matte boards and frame and when he put it all together it was perfect. He even did it on a very tight deadline. Far less stressful than I had thought it would be. I had considered online framing and even Michael's but I was less than impressed with the options which tended to be more standard and less unique, and there was virtually no cost difference. I highly recommend this shop and plan to be back. read more

Really loved the work TGFU did on a diploma I needed framed. The owner was courteous, helpful, and professional. I needed a bit of a rush-job, and he did it without any issues and didn't even charge me extra! Definitely would recommend to others! read more

Needed a piece of art framed in a rush and had never dealt with getting any art framed. The staff had an obvious love of art and showed me all of my options. The matting and the frame he suggested made the painting "come to life" and really looked great. Staff was friendly, extremely knowledgeable and knows how to really make art look incredible. The price was even lower than some of the "big box" stores that offered the same services (although I doubt they have the same passion and expertise). Coming from a family of artists, I already know where the next picture is going to get framed. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. read more
