Her shower plan was a shower on Thursday and Sunday. It didn't happen on the Sunday after she was admitted (no shower while in the hospital).On Tuesday I asked about it and was told "we will try to work it today". Never happened. Question again on Wednesday. A nurse, God bless her, it will happen today and immediately put her on the shower schedule. Don't bother to push the nurse call button. Maybe in 1/2 an hour you might get a response even though there are 2 or 3 nurses sitting at nurses' station. Not their job? Hope you don't need pain medication. First you must get a nurse's attention. Then she has to find the "Medication Nurse". My wife's medication requirement required a 10 mg dosage. They didn't have it because it wasn't delivered. So they gave her 5 mg instead of the 10 mg. She was to have pain medication every 6 hours "as needed". As needed means you have to ask for it then they want you to tell then your pain level. My wife has a cognitive issue and doesn't understand sometimes. There were time she had to go 8 to 10 hours to get her medication. Final straw. We had waited 6 weeks for an appointment with an Orthopedic doctor to address her knee pains. I picked her up and headed to the doctor's office. I failed to sigh her out. They called on route and told me I had to return and sign her out It was their "Protocol". Told them her doctor appointment was more important than their "protocol". We haven't been back and will never go back!

I was very concerned that he would not Want me after receiving a bottle. Dr. Beckman was cheerful, humble, knowledgeable and very positive that 1) baby was born knowing how to latch on to me...we just needed to remind him. And 2) baby should have no problem switching back-and-forth between nipple and bottle it was just a matter of strengthening the muscles that were weak. That was such a relief for a first time mommy. She went though a series of simple tests and gave us exercises to practice. Three days later he had his first decent latch. And ever since then it's been getting better and more consistent with longer stretches of time. We are not even two weeks since our visit with Dr. Beckman and today we've done more breast-feeding than pumping! Dr. Beckman and associates are professional, friendly, and prompt. Her process is backed by science and research, and carried out with kindness and compassion. I would highly recommend this office. Baby and I are forever grateful.

The house itself is a large classic building that seems like it was transported from Tuscany. It's situated on something like 12 acres with lush gardens all around as well as big oak trees. Inside, the building is decorated with murals of an old world feel. Each resident gets her own room decorated with classic decorations as well wall art. Each room also has all modern amenities such as TV with cable. The woman (Elsa) who runs the Hacienda House is from Europe and speaks fluently English, Spanish, and German. She has a very bubbly, happy personality and immediately makes you feel welcome. She gives each of the residents individual attention when it comes to medical needs, food they like, or passing the time together. Regarding the food, it's cooked at the house and it's nutritious and delicious. Definitely not cafeteria food. If you are looking for a place for your elderly relative that is not cold and corporate but run like a welcoming home, this is the place. It only takes up to 4 residents so the attention will be of quality. And just the setting and the food is soothing and inspiring. And by the way the cost is not more than those corporate facilities. I'm glad we found Elsa. I highly recommend this place.
