We frequent this theater and it is sometimes hit or miss. This trip was a tally mark in the win column. The ac was running cool. The theater was clean. We did forgo on the snacks or drinks so can't complain on the inflated prices. The sound and visual quality is solid for a standard theater experience. One complaint is the "luxury recliners" they so proudly proclaim on the front of the theater. The seats ore cushy and comfortable. However, the patent leather is flaking off and will leave debris on your clothing and hair. Also, several of their mechanisms are slowly dying. They sound as if the hamster inside is using a small car jack to raise and lower your seat. read more

I thought I would give this place a try during the day, during the week. Surely it would be clean 1st shoeing of the day. But the bathrooms were disgusting & the sign in sheet for hourly checks had already been signed for all day & into the nighttime hours. Had to open the door to 4 stalls to find one that didn't have pee on the seat or need to be flushed. Then on to the confession stand for 2 drinks & a small pizza. $30? To their credit, the pizza tasted good. Fresh & flavorful. I guess I'm just spoiled to Cinemark. I need clean restrooms (at least for 11am movies) & cheaper concessions. read more

It's sad I remember when this theater first opened and how well it was for the time period. Now it's in need of help. The outside box office needs to be moved inside. I've waited in line during summer without covering and I can see issues with cold or rain. Yes you can purchase tickets online, but sometimes you want to meet with someone and choose seats together. The price of bottle water isn't displayed and rightly so. $6 is robbery. Nachos for $7 is expected while a meager difference in the ICEE drink makes you just go for the larger size. Sound quality and viewing is fair. But the seats need lots of work. The mechanisms are loud and the coverings need to be redone. The bathroom stalls are so narrow they look even too small for kids. Only reason to visit is the AMC Metropark has a terrible exit off 45 and sometimes I just want to catch a matinee at a fair price. read more

Theater and seats were clean and nice. The movie kinda sucked but that's not the theaters fault. Lol. Liam Neeson let us down. Great parking and well lit. The workers/team was attentive and helpful. Bathrooms were clean. Only downside was the popcorn wasn't very good. It seemed stale and the bucket was kind of smaller than other theaters. Also wasn't clear if there were refills on soda or popcorn. I don't like having to ask but maybe that's a "guy thing". Overall good experience. Pizza was really thin. You do NOT get you payed for. I found a roach crawling in the theater while I was watching the hunger games. Seats were not sanitary and I heard clapping in the bathroom while I was just trying to take a number 2. The seats were sticky and ripped as well. I am never coming here again. read more

Went and saw Detective Pikachu (so good) tonight and this was my first visit here. It was easy to park and get in they have a device to scan your ticket from your phone so super quick and easy. Our seats were comfy and had a nice amount of space comparing to start cinema grill. The seats did feel a little cheap and does make you almost lay prone to have your feet up but overall pretty good. The screen seems larger than star cinema grill as well however there was a issue with our screen not a big deal but there was a spot that stayed blue throughout the whole movie just a random thing. Overall good experience will be returning. read more

I went with my 61 yr old brother. I am 66 with many physical issues. The restrooms near our screen were "out of order" and you had to use the ones on other side of building. I could not walk that far. There has to be a solution so no accidents happen embarrassing to the customer read more

First time coming to this theater. We went straight in and no one was there to check our tickets. We finally figured out that we had to check in ourselves by scanning our QR code. We actually helped an older couple because they were as confused as we were. No instructions for us first timers. My movie was 3D so I was waiting for the young lady to be done helping the person before me. I was inside waiting by the window and the other person was outside. She saw me and completely ignored me and got on her phone. I then say "excuse me" about 3 times when she finally got up and just looked at me. I told her I needed glasses for my 3D movie. I told her I needed 2 adults and 3 kids glasses. She brought them to me and I realize the kids one was a bit too small for my son. I asked her to exchange for an adult. She seemed so bothered (was so Worried about being on her phone) and just brought the box with the glasses and left by the window. She went straight back to get back on her phone and just sat down. No hello? No how can I help you? Nothing. Different customer service from the movie theaters I usually go to. The seats in the movie theatre are amazing! So clean as well. read more

I've watched many movies here but I have never hated a movie like the movie I watched this evening. I will never step foot back into The Conroe Grand! I politely asked an employee for my money back and was told he would gladly compensate us. The employee asked if he could give us another a ticket valid any time to come back. My friend and I agreed, the employee was very helpful and trying to make things right. The manager then appeared 5 minutes later telling me they will not be giving us a refund or the ticket for a show in the future. She then begins interrogating me asking about why we didn't like the movie and what about it we disliked. As we were explaining ourselves she turned off her microphone and walked away. Our issue with the movie was that it was blantantly RACIST! the whole movie was spent race baiting and an attempt to bash the white race, literally the ENTIRE movie. It showed white cops killing a black civilian, it showed white people cleansing a church full of black people, a scene was clearly referring to our current president Trump, and many more nasty things. Not to mention there was no story line, it wasn't scary, not even a thriller, it was about RACE. I was being nice about the situation and have never asked for a refund on any movie in my entire life until tonight. This theater has a very unpleasant smell that I can not get past. I also refuse to use the restrooms here due to this odor. I avoid this theatre when possible. They do however have a large number of screening rooms which allows them to show all the newest movies with multiple show times. read more

Outdated movie theatre that charges $8.23 for a matinee movie @1pm on a Wednesday. It's like $5.25 at Cinemark 17 in The Woodlands and their seats have leg rests and recline. I will drive past The Grand from F.M. 830 to go the Cinemark 17 from now on. Don't waste your money!! read more

I've been here a couple of times with my family, and this is the theater to go to if you're in Conroe I reckon! It's very nice, almost sterile nice... Kinda sits in the middle of nowhere and is just like, "Hi I'm a theater." Has a nice little arcade in it with a well priced Pac-Man / Galaga game. Last time I was here the volume was very low :( Went out with my dad to stop by the gas station for "provisions." Said we were getting our jackets, which we did, bwahaha. They didn't search us :D I'd like to think theaters have dropped the policy of caring about outside food or drinks. But yeah, overall a nice theater with a gas station and jack in the box nearby so if you feel like smuggling go for it. Would come back with no problems. read more

I hate leaving bad reviews but this is definitely my least favorite movie theater and I don't plan on returning. There are high notes: The movie theater and bathrooms are always clean. The low notes: This theater is one massive hangout (I assume it's because of the neighborhoods that border the theater). The last three movies I went to there were kids/teenagers coming in and out of the movie yelling profanities, screaming, using their cellphones as strobe lights up front, etc... The management never did anything about the disturbances even though they were told (each time) by multiple people. The parking lot never feels safe, several times I was there I saw, what seemed like, parking lot parties and young people racing their vehicles through the parking lot... Security definitely needs to be bumped up and management needs to get on the ball... Why pay for a movie with these types of disturbances?! read more

2nd time I've gone there and they were out of water. Asked for a cup of ice with a lid so I could get tap water and they said they can't give those. I offered to pay for it and he said they couldn't sell just a cup of ice. Wow. You would think if they are out of water they would make some concessions. I asked for the manager and "Sam" the manager said the same thing. I paid for our order and asked where the candy we asked for was and he said they were out of that too. The theaters are clean and comfortable. The sound system is exceptional. The seating accomodates a couple who would like to hold hands (the armrest rotates up and out of the way). The seating for people in wheelchairs is very poorly designed, forcing them and their families to sit down VERY LOW at the base of the screen and crane their necks to look UP. I wish someone with a disabled family member would design the theaters. THAT'S the one I'd be a regular patron to! As with all theaters, the tickets are way overpriced and the food prices are outrageous. But, if you don't mind throwing a $20 bill at seeing a movie and enjoying popcorn and a soda, then this is the place to go. (That's $20 per person, mind you.) I predict in the next 10 years, movie theaters will be a rare novelty and a faint memory for us old-folks. :) read more

Grand Theatre is my favorite place for movie watching. The popcorn is great. The seats are comfortable. It's not as crowded as some other theaters. And the best thing I like about The Grand is you don't get as many teenagers disrupting your movie. The only negative about The Grand is the speakers aren't as good as some other theaters. read more

I've been to the Grand several times since living in the area. It's a theatre you choose when you have to see a movie at an exact time and they can accommodate. The facility is old and the seats really give that away. The concessions are your standard movie house...over priced, but decent. I will say they're really great for kids birthday parties though. We live close so the location is perfect. The theatre needs some love. Upgrades are needed in seating and a deep clean.

Seats are worn, but upgrades coming, food is mediocre (tired popcorn, stale pretzels). Sounds from neighboring theaters is sometimes distracting. Always a good selection of movies to choose from. Not bad overall, but does need some sprucing up in areas. read more

We have enjoyed the Grand Theater in Conroe several times in the past. The last 2 times we visited, the theater had a distinct, unpleasant musty smell. It is not as clean now as we have found in the past. I really hope the Grand can return to its original first-class atmosphere. read more
