If you are going to use wood to flavor your food during cooking, you've got to have a good quality…read morewood to enhance the flavor without any nasty stuff like creosote that you get from wet, damp or contaminated wood. To get good results, you have to pay attention to the details. Just like a quality thermometer to pull that brisket at the right time, you need quality clean burning dry wood. I have a box of Smoak Firewood cherry, white oak, hickory and pecan at the ready at all times, if I get an urge to grill out or smoke on my PK360 or Cookshack. Every box appears to be hand picked, and clean and fresh but most importantly it's kiln dried. Having several boxes at the ready allows me to pick and match the wood to the thing I'm cooking. The owner Amy and staff are incredible folks that can answer any questions you have and even provide appropriately sized pieces. I'd much rather give my money to a local small business like this. If I'm remembering right, I believe they also supply several restaurants with cooking wood. This wood is even packaged so nice, it would be a great gift for a foodie! If you need some on a Saturday or while in Newnan or Sharpsburg it's also available at Cleaver & Cork.

It was a little more expensive than some, but the quality is better than anything I've had before. Why does that matter? It starts easily but burns much longer. Love your fireplace? I do! I might even be a wood snob now after purchasing from Cutting Edge…read more Between fall and early spring I use my fireplace every morning. I love morning coffee and a relaxing fire to start my day. This year I noticed my dog was acting nervous while the fire was burning. Turns out that when the wood popped he was stressed by the sound. I assumed there was too much moisture in the wood that we purchased from a local big box store so I did some research (because I refuse to give up Folgers and Fire time) and found Cutting Edge. They kiln dry their wood thus reducing the loud pops and crackles. We purchased three types of wood (oak, hickory, and cherry) to figure out what we liked best. I love them all! I'm thrilled that Folgers and Fire time continues and my dog is relaxed again in front of the fireplace. Customer service is amazing too! Ps- they deliver if you need them to do so.

It is very hard to find a good tree company that is both efficient and cleans up after themselves!…read morehave had three people/companies work on trees surrounding my house. The first team literally left all the logs and stumps and stopped working. The second didn't even do stump grinding. This company however, does all three, and efficiently. We dealt with Amir and his guys came bright and early (on time) and they finished taking down 13 trees in exceptional time and they came back next day to haul all the logs away. We took down about 13 trees on three properties, most were dead from the inside and/or dangerous. Stump grinding was done third day and they did all of it very fast as well. They even took out the stumps from my previous hire and THEN we asked them for a small extra fee to move all the tree mulch to my upper level retainer wall with a sinkhole. Not only did they do it all for us, but they also spreaded all the mulch to cover the entire space. They also transported the rest of the mulch to our nearby office for us. They are my go-to tree company now for all my future projects!

The canopies were very low, lots of broken and dead limbs, and we had a few trees that were so overgrown that they were against the house and roof. The initial walkthrough was with Chase Hartman, a Certified Arborist. We looked at every tree on my property and discussed what could be done to it to raise the canopy, thin it out, check for damage and disease, and make sure it's healthy and will continue to flourish. At the end of the walk, they were going to limb up and thin out six huge trees in my front yard, take down a pine and oak that had grown together and were way too close to my home, take down six dead Leyland Cyprus and two huge pine trees that if they fell, would crush my home. A week later, the crew arrived with two trucks, a bobcat loader, a chipper, and eight very experienced crew. They sized up the access to the property, spoke with my neighbors to ask to use their driveways to get to my backyard, and went to work. It was incredible to watch professionals practice their craft! They systematically worked on the two large pines in the backyard by climbing the tree and cutting limbs as they went up. Piling up the limbs to be pulled away by the bobcat to the chipped. Within two hours, both large pines were gone, and work started on the cypress, which they made quick work of. They arrived at eight AM and left at one-thirty PM. Professional from start to finish. They protected my yard, my neighbors' yards, and systematically, cleanly dropped ten trees and cleaned/limbed up six trees. From the first walkthrough to the final stump grinding a week after the tree work, excellent communications, great service, extremely professional and friendly. My new Arborist and Tree service for my home!

They were priced competitively, took care of the permitting, and got the work done in a timely manner. Beyond that, they cleaned up after themselves and had our property looking immaculate afterwards. Anyone visiting us the next day would've never known that we just had a giant tree cut down. There was some oil spillage on our paved alley/driveway from a chainsaw that broke while cutting down the tree, and Northside provided us with a free power wash to take care of the problem.
