My first time here and I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of goods there were. I was looking for a particular water font and found the exact one it wanted! It's a Mother's Day gift so I was very happy. The owner Jim was so helpful and pleasant. I will recommend this shop to everyone interested in religious items.

We were especially thankful to attend the recent NeeDoh drop! Unfortunately, there was an uncomfortable situation outside in the parking lot involving an older woman approaching customers to purchase their newly purchased NeeDohs and taking pictures of people waiting in line without permission. This was not related to the shop itself, but I wanted to mention it so others attending future squishy drops can be aware. Overall, we highly recommend Wonder Emporium and always enjoy supporting this wonderful local shop!

I'm sorry that some of you had a bad experience, but ours was great, especially considering we arrived only 20 minutes before closing, when most business owners are ready to head home. Oh, and let me add that I'm Mexican and gay, so as far as being racist or discriminating goes... FAR FROM IT!! I did correct my Goddaughter for grabbing something from the display window--not okay! Plus, she's 12 and should know better, period. The owners were very kind in gently explaining why it wasn't okay, and I appreciated that because their house, their rules! Kids need to understand that when you walk into someone's place of business--or even their home--you should be respectful and ask for permission or assistance before touching things. Again, thank you both for all the great recommendations and for being so kind about my pup, who was on a leash and wearing a diaper to ensure there were zero accident possibilities. Our pup loved you guys! She's usually a little shy at first, but she walked right up to both of you. Dogs know. We'll definitely be back to check out some of the games you have when we have more time to browse. Like I said, we came right before closing, and even though it's a business, everyone wants to go home after work, and we respected that. No attitude, no pressure--just two kind business owners doing what they love.

My friend and I were approached by three different employees during our time there. They asked if they could assist us with anything and gave some great recommendations. I was looking for a fantasy book for my teenage brother and the employee was incredibly helpful giving recommendations, finding the "teen book of the month." I didn't even know they had a teen book of the month! The organization of the store was great. The categories and book selections that were specially displayed were especially helpful. For example, in their AAPI stories section I was able to find some really interesting books that I might have not otherwise seen. A selection of their Barnes and Noble specialty book covers that feature some classic works (like Pride and Prejudice and Winnie the Pooh) were on sale for between $8-$12. For such a beautiful high quality book, I would definitely return to purchase one of those at that price. The other books though were a bit pricey. The employees there made this visit extra enjoyable. I don't go to Barnes and Noble very often, but yesterday's visit makes me want to return again soon.

You will also find vendors selling things for great prices. Make sure to bring cash and most vendors will give you a discount. The only downside is even with the ridiculously large parking area, it STILL fills up every single day. It's literally always busy, so prepare to walk a lot. The one Star rating should actually be a meatball!…read more On Monday my daughter spent $260 to buy three books at California Book Exchange in Fullerton. On Wednesday a friend offered her one of the needed titles to use for the semester. On Thursday my daughter tried to return this $121 new book (in new, unused condition) and was told: No Returns! As of 9/20/13 Ca Book Exchange has various return policies and requirements listed on their web site. However the bottom of the receipt states "No Returns, All Sales Final". I talked to an employee who stated the No Returns Policy was "to protect them" ...whatever that means. He further explained that once you walk out the door with the book it is no longer new. I talked to the owner who was very fluent at grunting in some foreign language ...mostly inaudible. All I could really get out of him was that he would buy the book back at the end of the semester, then he walked away. (Of course, buy the book back at the end of the semester means at the used book price ...about 1/3 the price he just sold it for) Conclusion: This place has a very limited / nonexistent return policy (depending on how they feel that day) Unless you are into self abuse, enjoy a sharp stick in the eye or are into other forms of self Mutilation etc ...don't step foot in this dump. However, if you want to learn about bad business ethics this could be a good field trip for you! My Advice: Plan ahead, get on line to buy and sell your books Without a consistent return policy there is no reason to patronize this poorly run business. Reasons to NOT Use California Book Exchange in Fullerton: a) You have a choice of book vendors on Craig's List, Amazon, E-Bay or Barnes & Noble. b) Online is far more competitive AND cheaper. c) Shipping is often included, if not, it is very cheap to ship with USPS book rate. d) If your books come from out of state you will not have to pay sales tax. e) AND ...most of these outlets REQUIRE their sellers to have a return policy. Let's cut this schmo out of the loop! Let him take his bad attitude on the road. This location would be more beneficial to Fullerton College if it were a tattoo parlor with rusty equipment.

We went into the store on Saturday and there was one person working who was helpful at helping you find your books. Never explained store policy on returning books, sales are final, what there hours were or nothing. Just wanted to sell you books. Well ended up not taking the class. Called store on Monday to find out if they were open, so I could take the book back. No answer. Could not make it to the store till Thursday and the gentlemen said I can not take this book back you only 1 day to bring it back. Told him you never said that, he said yes I did and I explained to him we called. He explained what his hours were 9:30 am to 4:00 pm. Told him there was no way to make it there before he closed due to work and school hours. He said thats not my problem that is yours. He said that is our policy and it is your problem we can not take the book back. I would never suggest anyone go in there to buy anything. Very, very rude people and do not know how to run a business. You can save money by going there but it is not worth it. Bad service, not friendly, rude there is nothing good about this place.
