As I read through these comments I would totally agree with those that say that this Goddard School and it's new owners really do care about our Children. My daughter has been attending this Goddard location for almost 4 years. The new ownership took over 2 years ago and has made such vast improvements in the facility and the care that my child receives. Honestly the two bad reviews that put down the new owner for not having a background in child care just astonish me. I'm not entirely sure that the previous owner/owners even knew my daughters name. The only communications that I ever received from them was when the bill was due, when they were going to raise tuition, how they were going to need raise it again for staffing purposes, when we needed to pay summer activity fees, yearly enrollment fees, how their credit card system wasn't paying them quickly enough so they were going to take money out sooner. In two years our tuition went up 3 times!!! We began to think that the only thing they cared about was their bottom line. The new owners however removed a cubicle from the front lobby and replaced it with an exploration area so parents could stop and read with their children, or play learning games. Although admittedly I was skeptical at this change at first, I've found it to be one of the greatest changes. Instead of running in and out of the door every time I drop off or pickup, I now feel welcomed to stay and chat and become more a part of my daughter's learning experience. The new owners have also painted, replaced broken equipment, added safety features, and one of them is actually present and there working everyday. They send weekly notifications to keep us apprised on everything that is going on with our children's education and despite previous claims the really do care and listen to feedback. All this without raising tuition one cent since they've taken over. I'm thankful for the education that my Daughter is receiving from this location and love that the new management staff and owners care more about the children than when they can raise the rates. I transitioned my 4-1/2 yr old here at the beginning of 2016. Compared to the location school, I am over-joyed with this Goddard location. My child, at 4-1/2, could NOT point out her letters nor could she write them; had no distinction between numbers vs letters and had not come home with any school work for months. I transitioned her into the preschool classroom which is a closed classroom format (previously location was open-concept and a focus nightmare); the teachers are organized, with a well-structured lesson plan that is communicated on the Friday of the week before and they seem to enjoy their jobs. I receive pictures throughout the day of what my child is doing and enjoying and a daily report at the end of the day, discussing what topics/projects were focused on that day. My child, after 2 months, can now write 24 of her letters (G and K are tough ones!) and counted to 50 for me last night. She is still struggling with writing her numbers, but I'm confident that they will come together. She is excited every morning for school unlike before when she would beg to not go. Her behavior is calmer now and she is showing more maturity (less outbreaks) and more patience than before. I have to assume that removing her from the chaos environment from before, from a very loud/yelling a lot teacher and into a set of teachers that are calmer, seemly have more control over the classroom and have structure is the reason for her improvements. Rather than fight the Westerville school district on the their full-day kindergarten policy where I will have to pay for public education - I have chosen to continue my child in Goddard's full-day Kindergarten program for 2016/2017 school year. Cons: Packing a lunch is the downside. I wish they would provide lunch because my child could be exposed to new meals, more combinations than my mind can create for her. (I'm not a creative meal/lunch packer) read more

After nearly 7 years of having at least 1 child attending this Goddard School location, we can confidently say that the term "daycare" does not do justice to the scope of services they provide. The teachers and directors were all caring, dedicated, and experienced. The environment itself was clean, warm, and inviting. The curriculum was filled with a wide variety of age appropriate, educational, and fun activities with the perfect mix of structure and free play. Daily activity reports and parent-teacher conferences allowed for open communication with staff members and provided valuable information on progress. We especially loved having pictures of the kids emailed to us throughout the day to help us stay connected to them!! If occasional issues arose in the classroom, they were relayed immediately and addressed promptly and fairly. The teachers/directors were very responsive to feedback and effective at implementing change or alternative solutions when necessary. Overall, The Goddard School at this location enriched our children's lives, facilitated learning, and nurtured all aspects of their development from infancy through their graduation. We are really going to miss having Goddard in our lives!! read more

We could not be happier with the Goddard School located on Executive Parkway in Westerville. The best part of the Goddard School are the people! The teachers are amazing and are so involved with the students. It's a great feeling knowing that every person who interacts with our son genuinely cares about him and his well being. The owners, Jennifer and Mark, are so involved and it's evident that they take great pride in running an excellent daycare. They have a great app where they send us pictures throughout the day and then a daily report to inform us when he ate, slept, etc. They are constantly doing projects and activities; even the littlest ones in the infant and toddler room participate in great sensory activities. The classrooms are well-organized and the facilities are always clean and well maintained. Overall, we have been more than satisfied with the Goddard School. We feel that they facilitate learning and development and we recommend them to everyone we know who is looking for excellent childcare in the Columbus area. read more

There's not enough kind words to explain our experience with The Goddard School! When calling around to acquire information for schools @ 6:30am I luckily reached out to this school. Jennifer "the owner" was upbeat and cheerful over the phone and very informative. I never felt rushed and was not being sold a service, She explained the schools structure, curriculum and scheduled us a last minute appointment. The meeting was great and we made a great decision to start that following week. Our 3 yr old daughters first daycare experience yesterday was amazing We were updated with photos and videos and I was invited to come in or call at will. That really eased my parental worries. The teachers are always smiling and very patient with the little ones. Our two children (4 1/2, and 3) have been attending The Goddard School for the last 8 months and are thriving. The curriculum is fantastic. They learn Spanish, sign language, and do yoga. They have enough structure to keep them engaged in learning, but plenty of time to explore their own interests. And, most importantly, the teachers genuinely care about each of the kids. They miss our kids when they're not in school, and the administrators know each family by name. We don't feel like another number at the school, but part of a big family. Our kids look forward to going to "school," and we rest easy knowing they are in good hands during the day when we're at work. We love the monthly "parent's night out" where the school keeps the kids on a Friday night, and my husband and I get to have a date night. I would highly recommend this school. read more

Our child also attends this Goddard and loves it! My husband and I are extremely happy with all of the improvements that have been made since the change in ownership. It seems like the new owners really do take an interest in our kids and constantly are working to upgrade the classrooms and make positive changes that benefit the kids. This is our first child, and did not know what to expect from a daycare setting before sending our child to this location. Our child quickly learned sign language in the infant and first steps classrooms, learned animals, alphabet, colors, etc. in the first steps room, and the list goes on.... This is an outstanding Goddard location. I don't have a child here--even better, I worked inside the school, directly with the staff as an independent contractor. I'd send my kids to this school in a heartbeat. The owner and director are passionate and conscientious, and the teachers legitimately love the kids. The center feels warm and inviting. The staff like each other and the parents, the kids are happy and comfortable. All of this on top of the fact that they offer an educational, structured curriculum makes The Goddard School of Westerville an easy, obvious choice. I wish I lived close enough to send my children to this school. read more

I have 2 children that currently attend The Goddard School and we are beyond happy with our experience. The owner Jennifer is amazing and is always available for questions, suggestions, or anything I may need. Every teacher that my children have had have been loving, fun and very nice. The curriculum they follow is excellent and my children are learning so much. The school is a safe and fun learning environment. If I could sum up this school in one word it would be: Amazing! My daughter started attending this school since she was 4 months old and now she is 20 months! My husband and I are so happy with the care and education that she has gotten here. Every week they have creative projects and so many neat activities throughout the day. Amazing childcare provided here! They truly care about all their kiddos and provide the best care. I love getting updates all day of what he is doing and photos of all the activities. They constantly have activities planned even for the infants. Best Child Care around! I love the Directors, Teachers & Staff. They know us on a personal level and are so much more than just a preschool. The facility is always clean & the structured environment they provide is amazing. My 3yr old son looks forward to school each and everyday!
