I dove into their blog on baseballrebellion.com and started reading all of their various articles and their approach to hitting and fielding. It all really made sense. They take a scientific approach to baseball mechanics and focus on teaching kids the correct habits from the get go in order for them to be successful in the future as well as the present. They use high speed cameras to analyze your child's swing and fielding, pitching or catching habits. And they really seem to care about the students. They teach from the very young, novice students (my son is 7), to advanced programming (high school AP computer science), with students designing games and apps and showcasing their work at special events organized by the school. There is a pattern of gymnasts starting at this gym and then leaving once they become more familiar with the sport and the culture of the gym. The team coaches are also the owners and if a parent tries to address an issue, the parent will quickly become ostracized and ignored by the coaches. The female owner actually yelled at me on the phone and told me that it was not her responsibility to ensure a safe emotional environment. Gymnasts are also encouraged to give each other the silent treatment rather than resolve any conflicts. Very toxic environment! There are many gym options in the area and I caution anyone checking out Wake Gymnastics to go elsewhere

There weren't a lot of kids so they were able to have many battles. They each got to work on a robot, adding pieces to a pre-made body for battles. Isaac explained very well what was going to happen and how to do everything. It was neat watching all the kids design their robots! By the end, the parents were even jumping in and working on them with the kids! Great birthday party, my son said it was his favorite! They are based out of Cary/Morrisville but will travel.
