It's a great place to work out. Administrative staff led by Mrs Cammie Bay. It's one of the best I have ever worked for.

Our son was only supposed to go there for 1 year but we loved it so much and it was SO good for him, that we delayed him starting kindergarten by a year. In total, he spent 2 yrs there. He started knowing no Spanish (my husband and I don't speak Spanish) and he ended with a really solid understanding of the language. So much so, that when we went to Spain this summer, locals were impressed with his accent and his ability to speak the language. We actually had no particular interest in him learning a Language, but we really wanted to get him into a Montessori school. This school was amazing for his confidence. He started off as a shy, difficult boy who hated his previous preschool. He blossomed beyond our expectations there. He was more than ready (& not only willing, but excited) to go to kindergarten. He loved his time at Maracas. The staff are amazing and caring and it is such a sweet school that I will always hold very dear. I cannot recommend Maracas Montessori enough. Any child that goes there is a very lucky child.

We set up several tours, and decided on TLE, because we were impressed with the cleanliness, a clearly stated curriculum that involved both sign language and spanish, the bright, open, and colorful rooms, and loved how the owner took her time to explain how they worked, and what to expect so that we felt very comfortable leaving our son in their care. The staff is CPR certified, SIDS certified and have an Early Childhood Education background. They have indoor and outdoor areas for play. The outside area is covered and has plenty of equipment. Inside, they have a play room that looks like a little town with a slide for rainy days. We've been beyond thrilled with our decision. Each time you go to pick up your child, you have a key fab to open the secured doors, safety is big here. When you see your child in the classroom, the teachers always seem to be very involved. They don't sit back and just let your child play. Numerous times I walked in to the teacher holding my son, with his head on her shoulder, as happy as can be. This showed me she truly loved her job, and that he felt safe and secure in her arms. I also walked in to find her singing the wheels on the bus, as they danced and did hand signals, art time, and outdoor play. At the end of the day, you get a sheet that explains what your child did for the day. This includes the food they ate, and amount, their potty breaks, nap time, what they were learning that day, sign language for the week, anything needed from the parent to bring in like diapers or wipes, and their mood for the day. The learning section was always impressive to me. It is very detailed and my son seems to be ahead of the curve learning wise, which I can thank TLE for. As far as the price goes, it falls in line with others in the area, and the location is conveniently off of Glenwood Avenue, or the back way, Leesville Road. The owner, Ms. Jane has made this place what it is with love and heart. Jane knows every child and parents name, and has an open door policy. She can be seen in the classrooms, outside, and in the hallways. Having a visible owner who is involved is important to us. Being at TLE has made me feel like a part of a big family. Ms. Jane and the teachers very much love their children as if they are their own. Parents and staff are all a team, and the relationships built here are genuine. Obviously, I cannot say enough great things about this daycare. I have very high expectations when it comes to care for my son, which is why I felt the need to express my happiness here. Thank you to TLE for meeting and surpassing my expectations!

He has been there for four years and is now in the transition class. He begs to go every day and we have loved every single teacher there! It is a church preschool but it is not fire and brimstone as my daughter's was. They sent home a find the objects worksheet when she was 4 that had her find the bloody nails in Jesus' hands, the crown of thorns, and the faces in the fire. Really? at 4? Soapstone has always been age appropriate and teaches with love and compassion! You will not regret checking out this amazing place for your child!

Parent involvement is vital and we welcome them as partners in our preschool family. Our History: Soapstone Preschool began in 1991 as a cooperative Mother's Morning Out program one day a week. Over the past twenty years, the preschool has grown and evolved. Currently there are 12 classes with 110 children enrolled and a staff of 22. It's exciting to watch our program grow throughout the years and to realize how much God has richly blessed us.

I accepted a job thinking I had daycare for my 17 month old secured, and last minute - I didn't. I was freaking out now because all the schools I'd reviewed on NC Division of Child Development and Early Education were packed and didn't have any open spaces for my child. I'm so glad that this worked out the way that it did. I met La Shaun who was so comforting, knowledgeable, charismatic and understanding. All the teachers made it a point to say hi to me and to my daughter. I called my fiancé and told him how it went and made the decision in the parking lot that this was the perfect spot! I also met my daughters teacher who was very welcoming and cheerful, just an outgoing, cool teacher (Mrs. Helen) (forgot to mention that before). When I went to drop off my child off for "Discovery Day" I met the district manager Mrs Lucy- she was the icing on the cake. Just made me feel so so at ease. I was feeling a little nervous/sad obviously dropping her off and her taking the time to sit and talk to me and make sure all my paperwork was filed out and all my questions were answered. I can only speak on how they got me in the door, but I will say I've never been so impressed. Ms. Cory was also very sweet. She was really involved in the classrooms and that made my heart smile. We didn't get to speak for long but I was happy seeing her in action with the kids and the daycare. Much respect for that. They def exceeded any expectations. Hoping to a great future relationship together!

Before even go there I called and I made sure they accepted kids with autism before enrolling my kid and they said they did. The way the staff at the entrance talk to you feels passive/aggressive, everything they have going to inform you is dramatic, even if I had to buy wipes because I forgot to get them. I was going to find another school for him because the first day they called me saying it was too difficult to take care of my son and that I had to go pick him up. When I got there I said ok, then I'll find other school for him and I won't enroll my kid here. They convince me to stay and this woman said they'd do their very best to help him. Today, 2 weeks later he got kicked out and my son has mild autism just to make this clear. Its heart breaking as a first time mother to go through this situation. My point is... if a school says they accept kids with autism how come nobody in the staff even know what autism is or know basic information about this? If your kid has special needs I highly recommend you to find another place that is more open and patience for kids with special conditions.
