We're actually having a great experience! I tried Goddard 7-8 years ago and didn't have a good experience. After new management and staff, I can honestly say I'm impressed and recommend! I sent my oldest daughter to try summer camp, and she had a good time with field trips twice per week, and a pretty generous list of daily activities to keep older kids busy and interested. Since the school is geared towards younger kids- it was great that they got them offsite quite a bit! Now I have a 1.5 year old there and we've been attending for a months now. I love all the daily pictures I receive and all of the activities she does on a daily basis. Constantly gluing, painting, coloring.. some kind of art. And gets fresh air on the playground or out of the room in the gym. I've even received video of outdoor dance parties with the toddlers! lol! My daughter actually enjoys going and we've had minimal issues. Her previous daycare she'd cry at drop off and couldn't get to the door fast enough at the end of the day. However at Goddard she's starting to blossom and is comfortable enough to walk right in! The staff across the first 3 rooms seem very caring, kind, and friendly. They wave and speak upon entering even though we're not in their classes (especially the infant room). Things seem organized and enjoyable for my daughter. I don't feel stressed about her well-being there. I can drop her off and feel she's being taken care of. I recommend. read more

The school is clean. You don't get the smell of diapers when you walk into the facility. The teachers are very loving and patient with the kids. The administrative staff knows each kid which shows they care. Also, the kids are always learning new things by doing different activities. Most importantly, my daughter looks forward to seeing her teachers and friends each day. read more

I know this is long, but i wanted to give a 100% honest review. With so many options in the area, it would've helped me make my decision if there were detailed reviews! Hope this helps parents looking for childcare :) My oldest has attended this school for a couple years now (we moved cities) and he started out in Ms. Keke's class. Almost immediately i noticed a positive change in his eating habits, behavior, and, most importantly, how much he was learning! I was nervous about him moving up to the next class because i thought "there's no way any teacher will ever be as good as Keke & her assistants" but Ms. Dee and Ms. Wanda we're just as good. He continued to thrive & learn, and he's still doing so well. He just recently moved up a class again, and i have no doubt that those teachers will be amazing as well! I'm still pleasantly surprised when he brings up in our normal conversation something new he's learned! We also have our youngest in the infant room with Ms. latrenda, ms. Gloria, ms. Brenda, and one other teacher (i never see her due to my drop off/pick up timed, so idk her name!) but i love these ladies as well. It's so hard to leave your kiddos, especially little babies, but i know they give him the same love and attention that i would. I trust them implicitly! I know there are negative reviews on here about the school, and i have no personal experience with any of them. But bottom line, every parent knows that not one person on this earth knows your kids like you do. A lot of us have to put our kids in daycare, and we only want the best for them. Realistically, complaints/problems about a school (or someone caring for your child besides you, if you're a control freak like me lol) will come up ANYWHERE. Doesn't matter who/what/where, and it sucks, BUT the way that Goddard handles any problem that I've seen come up just reinforces the love i have for the school. I can say from the bottom of my heart that my sons and i LOVE their past/current teachers (as well as teachers they've never had! and the directors) and they genuinely love my kids. Am an over protective grandmother and was very skeptical of daycares due to previous experiences but Goddard has been put my skepticism to rest. My grandson is so happy there. The new owners are there on a daily bases and take great interest in the kids, my grandson will not leave with out saying goodbye to the owners. I can not say enough about the director she is in-tune with the kids and their parents. This school has so much to offer such as bilingual story time, book fairs, parents night out and so much more. There are themes such as Dinosaur and story time characters month The first month there my grandson who is now 3 knew how to count to 10 in Spanish and some Japanese words. The teachers are very patient and take time to love the kids while they learn. I must admit my grandson is a handful but the entire staff works to keep him in line in a loving way. The ladies that take care of the kids in the morning are very helpful in assisting me with him so I can get to work. This is a great Daycare and they did not ask me to write this review, I was compelled to do so because am so impressed with my grandson progress. read more

My baby always cried at this school and she been there 2+ years when i took her out and put her in another daycare the crying stopped . She is happier at Kid City no crying or anything she didn't even cry her first day . I see other toddlers at Kid City that went to Goddard school with my baby . Goddard school can't keep teachers . I don't see why there are bad reviews for this school, it has been awesome to me and my family!! From the sweetest Owner Suzie, to the directors, and the teachers my kids love this place. I have a 5 year old daughter that has been there since she was an infant, and I have a 2 year son, they are so smart and learn so much from the school. Their teachers are always sharing feedback with my husband and I, sending updates on my kids daily activities, etc. The front office staff is very friendly and are even hands on with the kids. This is a great school, your kid(s) would love it! Goddard School: Toddler room First off, this classroom is over-crowded: The (12-18 months) room is built for ten kids n two teachers but houses 14 or more kids n 2-4 teachers depending on who's there at each point in time. Do the math and compare with the size of the room! This affects outdoor time too as they are sometimes short staffed n can only take some kids outside and not others, unless they have enough hands. Outdoor time is especially needed in this overcrowded space so it broke my heart to see some innocent babies deprived of their outdoor time for no fault of their own. This happened to my baby at least twice. I only got to know this because I came by coincidentally and asked why she was inside when some kids were playing outside. Suffice it to say, I took her back home to stay with me until a spot opened up at Primrose silver lake. General environment is never happy, most kids seen with runny untended noses and tears, MOST OF THE TIME! I thought this was the norm till I visited other schools in the same area (who are more professional, have huge rooms and yet stick to the number of kids they set out to admit per classroom). This is not the norm! Here seems only out for more profit but say they are within the state ratio. That is NOT the point. That state ratio says you can have 13:2 doesn't mean you should cram 13 kids and extra teachers in a tiny cramped space. The room was built with 10 cubbies for 10 toddlers and creating extra cubbies by shifting a few items in the cupboard to one side and sticking name tags on them does NOT change the fact that this room was intended for a small group of toddlers. Toys: There are barely any toys in this room. Reason being that "the kids put them in their mouth". As a new mom, I also thought that was normal till I checked Primrose, Kid City n kids r kids etc. The other schools' solution to that is to disinfect twice daily (kids r kids disinfects once a day) NOT keep the kids from having enough toys to play with! The few toys there are ancient, yucky toys that look like they came from a pet thrift shop. The Area Rugs: are Dirty, covered with old stains and filthy-looking (close-up). Still on Overstaffing...this room is often hard to reach on the phone because the poor workers are overstretched working in such a small space (which in turn means germ transmission, ambience, overall work place balance is more stressful)! Front office staff often have to literally go down the hall to tell the room staff to pick up the phone! One time I called at meal time to give meal instructions for my little one, the poor teacher who answered just kept saying it's meal time and they're trying to feed and settle the kids. I couldn't get a word in and she had to drop off. What if I was calling about something urgent e.g. Kid is allergic to nuts and I just realized I'd mistakenly packed a snack that has nuts inside?? The food/snacks are another whole conversation for another day. I'll skip that but for the price, it should be better. This class is simply chaotic and (I hope) the worst at the school. As a parent, I wouldn't recommend this little Toddler class at Goddard till: 1) they rightsize that small room to 10 toddlers, as should be! 2) They also need to provide and Maintain enough toys for the poor kids we entrust into their care! If you doubt any of this, go on a visit to Kid City, Primrose or many other schools in the area. Even shadow creek academy opposite Silverline Montessori has much more space for toddlers to toddlers in and toys to play with. And that's not even my favorite school! Ahhhh I forgot...they aren't honest about communicating with parents. The Daily report isn't really about your child or what they specifically did that day. It's some generalized nice-sounding bad-English-written tripe e.g. "We went outside and had lots of fun building castles...". The truth is that if you ask the teachers more questions, you'll learn that they actually didn't go outside ALL DAY maybe because it rained all day! So why does the owner copy n paste this fake pre-programmed bs??? I have no clue! This of course makes one discountenance the other stuff like them saying your kid ate all her (insert meal he hates), and you know damn well that's not true. Etcetera... I like Goddard but the standard is just dragging in the dust nowadays. Lovely location though! I'm hoping some much better schools come up that don't require long waiting lists! Seems the reviews/ratings for most schools around here stink too. read more

My son has been attending The Goddard School for over a year now and I could not be more happy with the care and attention he has over all received. Despite whats going on at the moment with Covid-19, I feel very comfortable and secure with how Mr. Ed and the administration have handled the situation. I absolutely love the environment as well. Goddard is wonderful and you won't regret putting your children in their care. To be honest, we were planning on using this center as a fill in until a spot opened up at another daycare, but we will not be leaving. Our son loves coming to school and you can tell his teachers genuinely care for him and the other students in the class. This daycare is by far the best daycare in the Shadow Creek area. Everyone from the staff to the owner do an exceptional job from taking care of my kids to communicating regularly on how the kids are doing. The attention to detail and the loving nature of the staff with all the kids is a great thing to see. I have read some negative reviews and I'm not sure where they are coming from but I know the owner is fair to everyone and if there has been a problem with my kids she has communicated in a respectful way to me. There are not a lot of daycares out there that you could truly say that you trust completely but I am grateful that I can say that about this school. I am a VERY satisfied parent!!! read more

My child does not attend, but I was not impressed when I showed up for a scheduled tour. The waiting area smelled like a restaurant when I arrived. The woman behind the plexiglass window did not look happy that I was interrupting her lunch. I was deeply disappointed when she took me to a classroom that was dark, because the kids were sleeping, and I couldn't observe anything. Someone should have extended me the courtesy to say that the time the appointment was made was at naptime that extends to two hours, so it is better to come earlier. I have only good things to say about Goddard. My child loves her teachers, her classmates, and is excited to go to school everday. I have enjoyed that my child is learning things that her older sibling is learning two grades above her own. She is coming home and is excited to tell all the names of the states she has learned along with identifying alphabet and numbers......she is four. My daughter as been at the Pearland location since she was 5months old. She is now 3. Since day one I felt a sense of comfort leaving my first born with the teachers at Goddard. My daughter ABSOLUTELY LOVES all her teachers. She as learned so much while attending this school. She definitely have the tools to make a great start when she starts school. The teachers are AMAZING and the front office staff are AWESOME!! The owner is very sweet and personable! I would recommend this school for your child.
