This weekend, while hosting a dinner with a principal friend of mine, Gigi decided to invite us to "play school." We were "the kids" and she was "the teacher." She created two centers for us to explore, facilitated circle time, dance, and story time. Ironically, my friend and I had been discussing the lack of classroom management structures employed by one of her kindergarten teachers and brainstormed possible supports. So, she was incredibly impressed with Gigi's demonstration of the systems and structures used in her classroom at Goddard School. Those of us in education know that this is due to the dedication of the teacher to maximize student learning and create a nurturing, safe environment for our children. Such a wonderful tribute to the work Goddard School teachers do at the classroom level through support and guidance from school leadership! At Goddard School learning is intentionally planned...and communicated daily to parents! We even get learning objectives for soccer camp-VERY impressive! This commitment to communicating learning provides a wonderful opportunity for parents to dialogue with their children about their educational experiences, building a foundation for success throughout their educational careers!

This truly feels like a little school with hustle & bustle and fun friendly activity when dropping off and picking up our daughter. This is definitely a school setting and not a day care so it really encourages learning & engagement. Our daughter was timid on her first day (naturally) however, her second day and beyond, she's been excited to go to school. She runs up to the teachers and is happy to show them her shirt or gives them hugs. This was a rare occasion at her previous school so it's telling just how comfortable she really is at Primrose. Her teachers Ms. Kelly, Ms. Venita & Ms. Maren have been amazing with our daughter. They always have a smile, friendly and have gentle personalities which foster a warm environment. Delise, the director (principal) has been great to work with, very communicative & very organized which is appreciated! We're super happy at this school! If you like clean, organized & friendly places, you'd be happy here too!

In the interest of transparency, current and prospective parents should know that those steps included having their attorney at Goodspeed and Merrill send my family a cease‑and‑desist letter threatening a defamation lawsuit in conjunction with a fabricated CPS report if I did not immediately remove my review. The CPS allegations they threatened to file were created by flipping our concerns about the school back onto us; even if those allegations had been true, they still would not constitute child abuse. I'll be attaching the threatening document they sent so families can understand exactly what is going on. My review is based entirely on my firsthand experience. Any parent who wants to understand the situation more fully is welcome to reach out. Original Post: I'm writing this as a parent who keeps receipts- emails, timelines, photos, everything. And based on that documentation, I want other families to know what we experienced here. Our son came home with a bad bruise on his back, yet we heard nothing from the school. When brought to their attention, the school said they documented, but they repeatedly refused to give us the incident report. This wasn't an isolated issue. When our son caught a virus the school had emailed about a week earlier, the owner later denied the presence of the virus -- despite us having the original message. We also discovered missed diaper changes in our son's log that led to a severe diaper rash. From my perspective, this daycare is more focused on protecting its image than being honest with parents or providing consistent care. Please do your homework before enrolling -- ask for policies in writing and trust your instincts.

During the eight years plus we have been here, I have built strong and meaningful relationships with teachers, parents and staff. The community at CHC is absolutely amazing! Cherry Hills Christian School has also provided an exceptional education while incorporating the word of the Lord. Chapel and the Mission program has truly been a sweet blessing for my kids. Our family has been at Primrose DTC for four years. We have been so happy with the staff and…read moreownership at the school and we have no doubt that our child will be ready for kindergarten because of the time spent there. Compared to other daycares / schools we have experienced and seen, this facility stands out not only in the education we have experienced, but the personal touch and communication from ownership and administration. Rick (owner) and Ashley (Director) will continuously update parents of school happenings, illnesses, etc. Primrose also uses a Tadpoles app that lists the daily lesson plan, and provides details of activities the class is doing. My favorite is getting photos/videos added by the teachers throughout the day. Another nugget that always impresses me is families are greeted by name at the front desk, whether it's Rick, Ashley, or any of the front desk staff. How they can remember each child and parent's name is beyond me, but is a great touch.  We also have also noticed low teacher turnover of primary classroom teachers - we have seen so many familiar faces throughout our four years! When there is any movement that affects our child's classroom, we are notified via email very timely (again - great communication). The building and exterior are always clean and attended. You will also find Rick outside putting down ice melt, shoveling and even assisting to clear windshields in snow storms. The building is also secured well, which gives us added peace of mind. There are also many extra activities available that can be fit into the daily schedule to help give the children exposure - soccer, Tots (basketball) and dance are a few. During the summer, the school also provides "Splash days" for the kids to cool off once a week.  The only wish that we have is that the school would be expanded to include a kindergarten class.

Update 2020-2021: We…read moreloved primrose since 2017 but once the ownership changed and then with Covid, it's been a roller coaster with them. Having to pay tuition (which is already very high) when you kids have to quarantine didn't seem fair to me. Communication with the owner was difficult and we didn't seem to get any of our confusion or frustrations resolved. Now we are dealing with not being able to get our deposit back after our 2 year old daughter couldn't join because she will not keep a mask on. We have tried, there is nothing we can do and it doesn't seem fair to have this policy in place. My biggest grievance since the end of 2021 has been the new director... she is just flat out rude. She has absolutely no customer service etiquette. She is the face of this location and she's awful (sad to say). Her emails aren't professional, she doesn't include attachments or requested info, and sometimes she just doesn't reply until I copy the owner onto the email. She's doing a terrible disservice the the primrose name. The education and the teaching staff have always been great and our son has loved being there since he was 2.5 years old. We've done the summer camps as well which he enjoyed.
