I did however find the classrooms to be small and restrictive for two reasons: age of busy little students and class size number. The classes seem to have about 10-12 students in a very small room all day. Some may think it's intimate I viewed it as suffocating. While I did find some teachers to be nice, I found many to be fake nice. Smile at you but scream at the kids. Mind you the children are 3-5 years old. I believe they use times excessively for this age group, they use write ups excessively for this age group, they do not provide enough activities, and I felt they were always treating black boys harshly when I was around. They have one teacher I believe her name is Mary who was terrible to toddlers screamed at them from drop off to pick up. I stayed and caught marry yelling at my son as soon as she thought I left . Chastising babies as if they understand her logic. I heard her berating children. She also has a bluelivematters sticker (mind you I have never seen a Blue human) in a place with many black children and teachers which to me directly says black lives do not matter. I spoke to the director about the teachers and the use of 10 minute or more time outs on 3 year olds. Terrible way to treat little ppl. Pay more and go somewhere else.

They were obviously discriminatory , as you can see from other reviews of people of color. Our daughter finished kindergarten at a Montessori, and it was the best that she left Plaza... Her "teachers" were replaced by those who had masters degrees, and taught her enough math and reading that she is now winning prizes at the local library and doing double digit addition. She knows her prime numbers too!! I couldn't be happier that we had a bad experience at Plaza, because it was a great experience for my daughter. To this day she tells me she's happy that I took her out of that place where they were "mean" in aftercare. It's worth a little more money sometimes to have teachers with Masters degrees vs associates degrees who are glorified babysitters.

He only goes three days a week and is disappointed he can't go on his days off. We will definitely be sending him five days in the fall. The teachers are warm and caring. You can tell they love what they do. It feels like a family atmosphere when we drop our kids off. All of the staff greet you and know your child's name. Not to mention the tuition price will increase every year for absolutely no good reason. Lightbridge teacher turnover rate is unbelievable. Every month expect to see a new teacher. They are very well put together and i was so happy. My one year old took but 4 or so days to be completely comfortable with them. The moment I moved and had to find a new Y I still made time to meet up with my friend to swim and work on her basics. I would swim laps, she'd work on her freestyle. Today management or someone who didn't tell me her name stormed in and told me to leave because I was "selling" lessons. ?????? This never happened. When I told her I was with my friend, she asked my friend if that was the case and she said yes, family friend. This made this manager (?) really angry and she claimed I didn't have a membership even though there's a national membership program. She tried to tell my friend she didn't have a membership and she has one too. This enraged her and she threatened to call security on me after she didn't get the answers that she wanted. Mind you, it was addressed over a year ago with the AD that I would come ON MY OWN TIME to work with my friend. She claimed I was "fighting" but I was seriously confused by this exchange and the threat of security when I didn't do anything was crazy! I don't feel comfortable going to this establishment ever again and I will not promote it either. How disheartening. Swimmers beware.

In the beginning there were some transitions with teachers and my son was having more behavior issues due to the new environment and people. Once Ms. Tiya became head teacher though the class seemed to have more of a routine which helps young children especially my child. When he is home he talks about his friends and Ms. Tiya almost all the time. He loves Ms. Tiya and always greets her with a big hug. Whenever my son accomplishes something new Ms. Tiya will tell me in the morning when I drop him off. She has his best interest at heart and that is extremely important, especially when he is there for so long during the day.
