We love this place. I can attest to what everyone else said in their positive reviews. Always had open communication with everyone there. Great curriculum. Great caring people. Always clean, smells good. We've been to Young Ideas, Children's Wold Academy, St Anthonys Study Hall, which suited my needs for different reasons at different times, I wouldn't say anything bad about them but my favorite by far is The Learning Junction. My daughter went to The Learning Junction Day Care in Port Reading since she was 11 months old until she graduated kindergarten. I must confess that I was a nervous wreck at first, but once I started to know everyone there and started to notice how much they really care for the chikdren I realized that they go beyond and above to exceed parents's expectations academically and in every other aspect. They are respectful yet friendly and professional, caring and highly dedicated to what they do. My husband and I will forever be grateful for their service, great foundation and great experience. I've had both my children in this daycare and never had a problem. My son went there for 3 years and my daughter has been there since she's 6 months old and she just turned 4. All the teachers have been amazing. My son left there reading almost 2 grade levels above where he should be. My daughter is doing great there as well. She loves all her teachers and the friends she made there. The director Kelly is great, always friendly and gets back to you in a timely fashion. The teachers are always friendly and approachable. They use the remind app so you can always be in touch with them and they always keep open communication. I would recommend this daycare to anyone. read more

All 3 of my children have been at this Daycare since they were a yr old. The girls always treat them so well, even my most difficult child is treated with such patience. I would not recommend this center to anyone. When my little girl was very active and will not sleep at nap time, they started telling me how difficult my daughter was to manage and also recommended us to take her to a therapist because she was a little aggressive with the kids when she was one year old. They did not have the patience to take care of her. Instead my girl started going to the Pumpkin Patch and she was treated nicely with patience and she was very happy there for 4 years. read more

I would not recommend this center. My special needs child went there for only a few months about 9 years ago. She was not very nice to him. He has been in a few centers and the owner was the only person he ever had a problem with him. He was only 3 years old at the time. She was nice to him on his last day. That day was the only day she ever said "good morning" to him. It broke my heart. I wish I had never placed him there. read more

I would without a doubt recommend this daycare to anyone I know that is looking for a safe, healthy, & loving environment to put their child. My child who is currently enrolled in the daycare LOVES it there!! Every morning when I drop her off to her teacher she gets so excited. One thing I know is babies are a very good judge of character and my baby is 10 months old and she feels the love and security being there with the teachers & staff. I'm so glad I decided to put my child here & I'm very grateful for what the teachers & staff do with the children. They are more than appreciated by me! read more

The Learning Junction is giving my daughter the best education. The staff is well trained and takes their time in caring and educating the kids. No other daycare center in my eyes created this foundation of quality care in education. The school is always full with every class having students and I believe more waiting to come in from the talk of other parents. Both of my children have been with TLJ since 8 weeks .. they left as kindergartners ready for the world of grade school... they were left in good hands from the beginning and left reading, doing simple addition and subtraction, knowing money , science and geography .... reasonably priced ... trust me i did the research... and great times for the working parent .. open at 630 am with the last pick up at 630 pm.... great little festivities throughout the year for the kids.. typical fundraising but not the break your back kind as in you have to do it ... and the teachers ROCK !!! the put everything they have into the kids ... and if you are there as long as i have been they become a part of your family .. :) I highly recommend .... read more

My children were both with this center since infancy (as soon as i went back to work) and it was a very positive experience. As with any learning experience, your opinion is usually based on the particular teacher/ caregiver that worked with your child specifically, but having my older son be with them from 8 weeks to kindergarten, I can honestly say that the care and learning children receive there is wonderful. They have structured learning time, as well as time to play and be kids. A lot of what your child gets in general is also based on how involved a parent you are, and I made it a point to let the teachers know at every level what I expected as a parent (dont be afraid to tell me if he misbehaved... Please tell me what you're working on so that I can reinforce it at home... etc...) Not only did my son leave preschool being a full reader, but the lead teachers of every class are very nice, and will work with you. The owners/ directors are also willing to work with your particular child's needs, as long as it's reasonable and do-able. As a consumer, you have to remember that it IS still a business, so there can't always be exceptions to the rules, but as long as it's within guidelines, state laws, and ability, MY experience (and it may be different for others) has been that they are willing. I have nothing negative to say about TLJ. The only reason I did not give a 5 star rating, is because that would mean there's nothing to improve on, and I believe with a changing society, there can always be room for improvement. For reference, the time I was with them was April 2005 - January 2013. The only reason we left was because we moved out of the area. read more
