My family is deeply disappointed with this daycare, its owners and staff. My son joined in September 2025 and clearly it was a bad choice because we have had no peace since he joined. My son was at a previous childcare facility and we had to move him to this one for logistics reasons. However, he seemed to have a hard time settling into this daycare and the "owner" made it her personal responsibility to call me every single day to tell me how badly my child was behaving. we agreed to meet once about three weeks after he joned the center and we discussed ideas on how to help my son settle into the transition, i did everything i had to do and the school never reported back on what they had to do. We had a meeting scheduled for the following wednesday to discuss progress/concerns but instead the owner thought it was best to send me an email on saturday instead to tell me how she has decided to immediately terminate my son's enrollment, two months into the program. I'm sure everyone has a different experience but here is mine and i wont recommend this center to another family looking for childcare in the area. read more

This "school" really needs 0 stars as all of the "good" reviews are from a decade ago. I have recently toured this "school" and it seems it has been ran into the dirt due to its incompetent staff and low standards. Many things are wrong with this place. I call the office and no one picks up the phone but when I called under a different number someone picks up and whomever it is, is unhelpful to say the least. The teachers are very unqualified and the "school" is not accredited to the state of Maryland. This is a daycare. While touring the "school" I have witnessed "teachers" yelling at and mistreating the older kid population. The "school" looks awful, it is VERY messy near the front offices! This place needs to be investigated. I was excited to tour this place as it is nearby my house and had "great" reviews along with my other child graduated from another Goddard School (Gaithersburg), this place is NO WHERE near Goddard standards I know of. read more

This is a very bittersweet time for us, although we're excited to see our daughter move along to a new chapter; we are incredibly grateful and very happy with our time spent at Goddard. Both of my children have had the privilege of attending The Goddard School and I must say this was the best experience we could have offered them. Ms. Nita strives for excellence in the teachings offered at Goddard and we couldn't thank her enough. The teachers are passionate and care about your child's progress. Goddard has big name, but went in today to ask about their daycare and school options, was told that they dont have time to discuss any options with me and was told to check with them in three months and see if they have openings. the staff was very unprofessional and one member of the staff told me that they dont have enough the time to discuss all the details with me about the programs. My husband and I have nothing but praise for Nita Armstrong and the entire staff at Goddard. From the front office to every teacher, we have experienced true professionalism, compassion, and thoughtful attention from our first visit. The teachers are dedicated and extremely knowledgeable, treating every student with love and kindness. Our five year old is reading well before kindergarten all due to the strong learning ethic at the school. If there were an option to continue into kindergarten, we would take it without a second thought. read more

At first sight, everything looks good and up to par. As the years went on we noticed inconsistency with teachers, the curriculum, leadership. We had our son there from 9 weeks old to 4 years old. He wasn't able to graduate from preschool with his other friends because of the things we noticed. High teacher turn around, a revolving door. Leadership never wanted to inform the parents if a teacher was leaving. They waited until their last day to say something. As a parent, I'd like to know who will be in the room to replace the teachers and how this will effect my son. He was clingy to the good ones and would cry when they replaced the teacher with someone who had no business being in a classroom. We would often hear of tensions between teachers and leadership from other parents and see it ourselves. They stated that they taught Spanish to the toddlers...that never happened. For the amount of money we paid a month $1600+, no breakfast, no lunch, only snack. Oh I'm sorry, you could buy lunch from a third party vendor they had come in and the only thing they had on a rotation was hot dogs, pizza and pasta with the same apples, pears or peaches. And the price per meal was ridiculous. Also, our son started hitting one teacher in particular, he never hit any other teachers the whole time he was there at that school. She lied and said that we said something to her and it never happened. Leadership and the owner took her side and offered no apology. They actually treated us as if we were in the wrong. The resolution was horrible. The sit was one sided and we pulled our son from this mistake of a school. We have him in a summer camp that has an amazing program and everything they have said, they have come through 100%. We see that our son could've been at a better place and regret ever sending him to the Goddard in Bowie, MD. read more

I love the Goddard School! My children have flourished here, truly. I had a toddler and a pre-kindergartner enrolled here for one year. During that time, my two-year-old learned all of his core phonics, counting, shapes, modes of transportation and more. My pre-kindergartner learned sign language, how to read, and gained the confidence to be successful in school. All of the front office staff are tops. The facility is clean, safe and inviting. I highly recommend Goddard School to everyone! read more

A super professional preschool in the heart of Bowie, MD. What makes this preschool standout is its high quality curriculum and diverse student population. My daughter attended The Goddard School in Bowie for two years, until we moved out of state. She was there from the time she was almost two until she was almost four. When she started, she hadn't said a word yet and it wasn't long before she was talking up a storm. We've been so happy with the school - the teachers do a great job. We're moving to New York City where the private school application process is extremely competitive. We applied our daughter to five schools and she was accepted at four - proof that Goddard is doing an excellent job preparing the kids for the next steps. The kids are well cared-for, safe, and stimulated. Our daughter started there a sweet and happy child and she leaves the same sweet and happy child with a lot more skills and confidence.
