We absolutely loved our time at Goddard Steiner Ranch! Both of my daughters (ages 1.5 and 3) attended for about a year, and I can honestly say it was such a wonderful experience from start to finish. My youngest was only there for about six months, but in that short time she learned so much -- singing her ABCs, counting, naming colors, and even identifying emotions! Ms. Amy and Ms. RiRi were amazing with her, and she adored going to school every morning. My 3-year-old had Ms. Rosie for a bit, who was so warm and engaging -- she even taught her how to "boop," which she still does to people to this day! Then she moved on to Ms. Abby and Ms. Mary, who are both phenomenal teachers and truly loved by all the kids (especially my daughter -- they were her favorites!). The front office staff was always welcoming, accommodating, and communicative. The daycare itself is clean, organized, and full of fun, creative activities. One thing I really appreciated is that there wasn't a lot of staff turnover, which made it feel more like a family. We had to move, otherwise we'd still be there. My 5 year old has been at Goddard School Steiner Ranch for 3 years and I don't have enough words to express how happy we are there. The care, curriculum and love is more than I ever thought we would find at a daycare/preschool. SO many events during school and after. My daughter is entering kindergarten in August and she is more than prepared; already reading many words and has an extensive vocabulary. The owner, Jennifer Burton, has always been available to discuss anything we need and I know she cares, along with ALL of the teachers our daughter has had as she transitioned through the classrooms. The Goddard School in Steiner Ranch is WONDERFUL!!! My daughter was enrolled as an eleven week old infant in 2019 and will be graduating Pre-K in Spring 2024. She has spent 5 amazing years with Jennifer Burton and her staff. They have taught her so much and have reinforced her feelings of love and safety. This school is very open to meeting the parent and child preferences when it's reasonable parent request. We have had many obscure requests for our daughter due to parent allergies, child's medical, parent external environment (office, life, etc) and they have helped us accommodate each one! My daughter is a two household family and the staff would make sure to help get her dinner heated before driving to swim lessons afterschool since the second parent's residence was not in close proximity. I've experienced so many events with this school and all have been positive. I'm shocked to see such an unbelievable negative review posted by someone in the last 11-12 months because it seems that it's intentionally undermining and a huge stretch. Goddard Steiner has been the BEST EXPERIENCE and they do take accountability of which I'm very proud to say. I'd do it all over again, time and time again!!! read more

Both my kids have been at the Goddard School since infancy. One will be moving to their Pre-K class in the fall. We love their high standards, curriculum and open communication with their families. More importantly, we love how the teachers treat our children as their own. Each year, my oldest loves his teacher so much that he is sad to move up to his next class. However, after doing so, he loves his new teacher even more than the last! Both my kids are excited to go to school each day and are both thriving. We have two kids here a three-year-old and a five year old and they both absolutely love it! We transferred last year from a school that we were really sad to leave but this was definitely the right decision. Our five year old is starting kindergarten next year and we were going to have him come home after school but he's so excited to do after school kids club that we enrolled him. We love the Goddard school at Steiner Ranch. I was a first time mom and stayed at home with my daughter for 7.5 months. She can be super shy and high maintenance so I felt anxious about sending her to school. After looking at five daycares, we finally decided on the Goddard school and I even toured the location three times before sending the little one there, that's just how nervous I was. Ms. Jenn and Ms. Cecily are always caring and there to answer any questions. Ms. Paula (infant room) took care of my little one like it's her own and we couldn't have found a better, safer, and happier place. I often saw Ms. Nasrine helping out and loving on the little ones too. Also, Ms. Rosy has taught me so much about my daughter's personality and how to gently but firmly guide her through the separation anxiety phase. She's just a wonderful person. We stayed at the Goddard school for over a year but later had to switch to another school as my husband had to be at his job site right at 7am while I normally go to bed around 3/4am and couldn't send my daughter to school. (The Goddard school opened from 7am-6pm when we were there). Otherwise we would have stayed much longer. If we ever have another child, you'll find our kid at the Goddard School. read more

Please don't believe the reviews below. The owner Jennifer Burton pays people who go to the school to give them good reviews, to burry the bad ones. We won't let that happen. We have told our friends about what happens at Goddard and they even said they saw Jennifer Burton ( the owner) treat my wife poorly in front of people while she was volunteering for her up at the school. This place is shady, they have teachers do art projects and then sell the pieces to you for $30 that your kid didn't even make?! Save your child the emotional damage. Our daughter started to cry and say she was "scared of school" over and over again. Long story short our child was being denied water when she asked, little boys would accompany her in the restroom while the teachers sat in the classroom talking to each other, and when I came to pick my daughter up and couldn't find her, her teacher looked me dead in the face and said "I have no idea where she is" My daughter now walks into her new school with her head held high and waving me on to leave because she is secure and happy to go to school again. Only took a week at the new school and she was back to normal. Avoid this place at all costs! read more

The owners are fantastic. The teachers are genuinely caring and take the time to connect with the children. My daughter is special needs and many schools wouldn't even accept her. Not only did Goddard let her into the school, they actually ACCEPTED her for who she was, included her in absolutely everything and built a stronger connection with her than most of our extended family. I thought about how grateful I was for her teacher on almost a daily basis. We even drove her very far to keep her at Goddard Steiner instead of putting her at the closer Lakeway location. I don't regret it one bit and would have kept her there longer if it wasn't proving to be so challenging with two working parents. read more

We recently moved across the country to Austin, Texas. We needed to quickly find a preschool for our son, and during the pandemic, which adds another element of difficulty. Fortunately, we found Goddard and could not be happier. The teachers are excellent. The quality of education is excellent. The leadership is excellent. Every day, our child is engaged in creative and enjoyable academic and play activities. We receive updates multiple times a day. The head of the school is a superb communicator. Whether it's via email or phone, we continuously receive updates about the school. They are also doing an outstanding job managing COVID-19. read more

We moved our daughter to The Goddard School at Steiner Ranch a few months ago from another childcare facility. We are so happy we did and wish we had done it sooner! The facility is always nice and clean and the staff is always welcoming. There is a night and day difference in what she is learning and how much she has learned in the short amount of time she has been there. She comes home talking about what she did with her teacher and friends that day and truly does love learning! The Daily Activity Reports that are emailed everyday make it a great way to have conversations about what she did (instead of saying "how was school" or "what did you do today"). We have had a wonderful experience at The Goddard School Steiner Ranch with both of our kids. Both started at 3 months of age which is a hard time for a mamma to hand over care to another. But these teachers put us at ease on day one with both kids. When it came time for our second child to start daycare, we didn't even see the need to look elsewhere. We knew that Goddard was the place! From the caring teachers to the administrative staff to the owner, we have loved them all. Jen (owner) has been more than accommodating of our changing schedule over the years and is always greeting us when we come and go. We are moving away this summer and are comparing every new daycare with Goddard and just haven't found another that meets such high standards. I would not enroll your child there until you do your own background check. I did my own checking and found that my grandsons teacher had been arrested for a DWI and Possession of Marijuana. I am all about second chances and truly understand that people make mistakes when they are young; however, this teacher had been arrested earlier in the school year. What's worse is that they knew about it but chose to overlook it. When I questioned the director about it she advised she was well aware of his arrest but he promised he would not do it again and she's allowed to use her descretion regarding matters like that. I immediately took my grandson out of the school but of course she refused to refund my $1000 that I had just paid for that month. You would think they would have quality instructors with the amount of money they charge but don't be fooled. read more

I do not recommend anyone to send their child to this school. First be prepared for a high turnover in staff. The most important reason for this review is to let you know that my son Aiden was not only not feed one day but was also severely burned on both his hands due to the negligence of the owner of this school. Our sweet baby was able to crawl away from the playground to touch a "door" that caused him second degree burns causing him to have to endure countless days, hours and procedures at the burn hospital. Our life was changed on Oct 17th 2017. The teachers that day also did not put Aiden's care as a priority which is why he crawled away from their view in the first place. Lack of training in staff is a direct result. I have seen other reviews made regarding this incident but the school has clearly worked with yelp to have them removed. After 2 months that my daughter was at Goddard, I decided to pull her out last week. While Jenn, the owner, is trying hard, there are a lot of issues and for as steep of cost as they are it wasn't worth it anymore. When I first toured I was told that morning snack would be provided and it would always be fruits and veggies...pancakes and jam is NOT fruits and veggies. A lot of the staff is inexperienced and young and there doesn't seem like much oversight is happening. The classroom sizes are incredibly small and the activities my daughter were doing were not challenging at all. The director and Jenn seem very passive and they have staff issues. Most of the staff looks bored or have complained to me directly about how unhappy they are. I was also told most teachers had college degrees. This is FAR from the truth. I paid 282 a week, no lunch given, and my daughter stayed in a small room most of the day. The facility is 3 years old and they have a lot to fix before I would recommend anyone enrolling their children here. read more

We love The Goddard School at Steiner Ranch! The facility is extremely clean and all of the toys/equipment are in new condition. The teachers plan creative activities for the kids that help them learn though play, so they are academically stimulated and having fun at the same time. The owner really takes pride in this facility and does a great job organizing special events and programs for the kids and their families. I was sad when my oldest went to kindergarten and was no longer at TGS, but they did a GREAT job preparing for him that transition. My daughter attended her preschool year at this school her teacher, Mrs.Melissa was very kind and taught creative and unique lessons, in the midst of her attending she had four different assistance, two directors and two assistant directors. The owner is very rude and when you speak to her she's like a deer in headlights as if she doesn't understand, she shows differneces and makes empty promises. There's too much turnover too frequent the moment you adate they're gone. Current Director Ashley Sikes is very unprofessional. I have worked at The Goddard School for the past two years and have had such an awesome and rewarding experience. I started out as a lead teacher and found my heart in Pre-K; I have recently been promoted to School Director and never knew I had this level of passion! I love being available to support all our staff and make sure our program develops and continues in the right direction. I work very closely with all the classrooms and our owner, Jennifer Burton. Her love and dedication to our program, families, and staff is evident in everything she does. I am also a proud Goddard parent! I have two boys (currently in preschool and Pre-K) who have an absolute blast every day! They have loved every teacher they've had throughout the years and they have always felt genuinely loved in return. They often put up a fight to leave at the end of the day because they don't want to miss any learning opportunities! My son has attended Goddard for a little over a year now, starting at about 4 months old. We have had a great experience with the school, he loves going there every day. All of the teachers and administrators we have encountered at the school have been great. They take great care of the children, keep everything clean and organized, and teach them so much while having fun indoors and outside. We enjoy the daily reports and pictures to know what he is up to during the day, and we have been amazed at the lessons, sign language, words, etc. that he has learned.
