My daughter has been at ACA for over two years and will be graduating and heading to Kindergarten…read morethis fall. We are sad to be leaving the school but so thankful for the teachers, staff and administration for giving her and us a wonderful experience while she's been enrolled there. Her growth while attending ACA has been remarkable, with her language (Spanish and English bilingual class), math, reading, and independent life skills being way above average. We give so much credit to the amazing teachers she has worked with in both pre-K classes she has been in...truly wonderful people who are not just educators but curators of the kids' minds and social/emotional wellbeing. If you are looking for a welcoming and loving Montessori environment to enrich your child's early education, I could not recommend ACA more!

Our daughter has been enrolled at ACA for about six months now and here is our experience. We moved…read moreto Texas from California and first enrolled her in another montessori school. We noticed after a few months that the teachers there were stretched thin and would ask us to teach her to sit still during circle time at home. We felt that wasn't in line with what we read Montessori is about (individualized care) so we began looking for another school. When we found ACA, i read through their About Us and noticed they deliberately overstaff in order to prevent teacher burnout, keep teachers happy and energized, which will in turn trickle down to how the children are cared for. I thought this was super wise and loving so we decided to go in for a tour. We met Estella, one of the owners of the school, and she shared their philosophy and showed us the grounds. I immediately felt her energy was starkly different from the energy of our prior school. I also asked if the teachers are actually montessori certified, which i found wasn't true for our previous school. she was happy to confirm they are indeed Montessori certified and go through rigorous and regular trainings to maintain/obtain/enrich their certifications. (note to parents out there, most montessori schools in austin are "montessori inspired", not montessori certified. basically BS. we've had a chance to meet and develop a relationship with owners Sam and Estella, Ms. Hong, Ms. Sara, Mrs. Gupta, and other teachers and staff of the school. And With every single one of them, there is genuine love, honesty, and long-term thinking. This is school is love and people first, profit second. they are reasonably priced as well. and if you're looking for a daycare for your child where your child will be safe, loved, and enriched, I cannot recommend this school enough. Not just because the other schools around Austin suck (which is generally true), but mainly because the folks at ACA actually care and come from love.

She kept telling me that the teacher would tell her to go and find work to do. My child only attended the campus in river place for 2-3 days and they still charged me over $1200.00 dollars. I do not recommend this place at all!

The campus is impressive, with well-maintained facilities and a playground that could be every kid's dream. The teachers seem friendly and dedicated to their jobs. However, we had a negative experience with our 22-month-old son who had never been to a daycare before. We decided to enroll both of our kids in a full-day program from 8am to 3pm, despite having to commute 30 minutes every day for drop-off and pick-up. In the first week, the teachers suggested that we pick up our son at noon because he cried excessively, which was understandable. However, in the second week, they allowed him to stay until 3 pm for two days and then asked us to switch him to a half-day program because he was crying too much, and it was affecting the other kids. One day, we dropped our son off at school and left for home. As soon as we arrived at our garage, we received a call from the front desk staff requesting us to come back and pick him up in 20 minutes. Our son had cried so much that he vomited his breakfast, which we had previously informed the school was a normal reaction for him when crying, and not a sign of illness. When we told the staff that it would take us 30 minutes to return, they repeatedly asked if we had any friends or relatives who lived closer to the school to pick him up sooner, which we found odd. After several sick pickups in the middle of the day, the head of the school, Nichole, asked us to transfer our son to a half-day program to avoid disturbing other kids during their nap time. When we informed Nichole that we had enrolled our son in a full-day program but were asked to switch him to a half-day, she refused to refund us the portion of the tuition that we had already paid for the full month. Instead, she only agreed to refund us $3.58 for the two half-days, which we found confusing. Our advice for you is that be careful if you want SitH to be your child's very first daycare/preschool. They might not be able to soothe your kid and may put your family in the same situation like us. And you will lost a lot of money for them (their application fee, registration fee, security deposit, material fee, tuition fee. All are very pricey). We decided to enroll our children in another school the day after withdrawing them from School in the Hill, which turned out to be the best decision we ever made. Our son stayed in school until 5 pm every day and returned home happily. Another thing to be aware of is that the ZZ palm plants in the classrooms are poisonous from root to leaves. If your child loves plants or puts things in their mouth, please be cautious. We had asked Daniel, one of the school founders, to remove these plants, but they were still there when our children left the school. I have attached a photo of the plant, and I suggest you do some research about it.

I have a wealth of experience owning and even more reviewing and consulting with preschools across Texas and California. So you can imagine how selective I was in finding a place for my 2 year old son. My son is a handful and it is hard to win him over. Not only did he but our family also fell in love with Wonder Well and all it had to offer. The owner and staff go above and beyond to provide not only a safe, but enjoyable family atmosphere. At Wonder Well your child is not just attending preschool, but is at a place that truly cares for your child as a part of the Wonder Well family. The detail that goes into the curriculum and activity planning is like no other. The teachers break everything down and truly get down on the child's level (literally hands and knees most of the time) to help them and grow them in various ways. The creativity and variety of age appropriate activities for learning had my son waking up ready to run off to preschool every morning! The owner is phenomenal and has set up a state of the art facility like no other preschool I have observed. She took the time to develop and create a preschool taking into account all of the small things that matter and make such a difference to the kids and parents. I guarantee you will be 100% satisfied, and this sure the best preschool for your child!

But now having two young kids, and knowing the importance of education at this important developmental stage, I know that there really is so much young children need to thrive. Wonderwell is not only the best preschool in Austin, but in the country in my opinion. My son went there for three years and my daughter for a year before we had to move out of state. Leaving this school was the hardest part. My son started when he was 2, he could barely speak and was SO shy. When we left, he was so confident, a true leader, and LOVED school. The teachers, the staff, the other families, are all above and beyond. I couldn't love or recommend Wonderwell more!

We absolutely loved our time at Goddard Steiner Ranch!…read more Both of my daughters (ages 1.5 and 3) attended for about a year, and I can honestly say it was such a wonderful experience from start to finish. My youngest was only there for about six months, but in that short time she learned so much -- singing her ABCs, counting, naming colors, and even identifying emotions! Ms. Amy and Ms. RiRi were amazing with her, and she adored going to school every morning. My 3-year-old had Ms. Rosie for a bit, who was so warm and engaging -- she even taught her how to "boop," which she still does to people to this day! Then she moved on to Ms. Abby and Ms. Mary, who are both phenomenal teachers and truly loved by all the kids (especially my daughter -- they were her favorites!). The front office staff was always welcoming, accommodating, and communicative. The daycare itself is clean, organized, and full of fun, creative activities. One thing I really appreciated is that there wasn't a lot of staff turnover, which made it feel more like a family. We had to move, otherwise we'd still be there. We miss the teachers and the community so much. If you're considering enrolling -- take a tour, and see for yourself!

I attached those screenshots so they don't get buried with the good reviews Jennifer pays people to write. Also for parents, if you seem skeptical ask questions! My cell is 7132926701 you can reach out to me there or you can reach out to me on Facebook etc. It's obvious Jennifer Burton ( the owner) wants to refute these claims, but I will not be silenced. My child starts to physically shake walking into any other school now. I keep asking myself why? what happened to my child at that School? She's terrified, and that is so not normal. Parents- if your kiddo is screaming and crying saying "I don't like my school" LISTEN TO THEM!
