Disappointing pub as far as beer selection is concerned, OK atmosphere. Real ale drinkers should move on to the Sheffield Tap at the station, nearby. I did.
A nice-looking pub from outside, and the inside, too, seemed rather on the smallish-cozy side. But appearances occasionally deceive this real ale tippler, and they did in this case. There's a couple of real ales available, no more - and of the two or three that were on display, one was out already when I visited this pub in February of 2015.
Most of the patrons seemed to be on the 20-ish side (not surprisingly, since the Hallam University campus is across the street).
So, nothing here for a real ale drinker to enjoy, which is why I, after one courtesy pint, moved on towards The Sheffield Tap next to Sheffield Station, which is one very fine pub. Equally unsurprisingly, the customers there are usually more advanced in age. ;) - See my review. read more
