Thank you Nikki and Joe for working on me for 5-6 hours to get this done. Honestly, I almost feel bad because Nikki would explain to me the process in detail and I would be clueless and just nodding my head since this was my first time and I got no clue about being blonde along with the technical terms included in the process of doing it. She knew this and changed her way of explaining so that I could understand it better. Haha. Things I learned was 1 close my eyes when they're rinsing off the bleach, 2 also close my eyes when I'm on the dryer with the bleach and 3 take all the stretch breaks that's offered. There's always a first time for everyone. The results were amazing!! I was nervous, scared and excited because it was a big change but also I didn't know if the color was gonna match me. She assured me that it would look great and it takes a lot to say something like that because that just meant that she knew what she was doing and it was true. Experience was great! She also fixed my chunky haircut and made it more streamlined which ultimately shaped it up to look amazing. We also did a trial run of curls to see how long it would hold if I decided to get it done a day before my nurse graduation this month. We already had a stylist but my wife said she sucked. It's your wedding day and we can only trust the best and salon bellezza is the best. They even provided coffee for us. Yes yummy coffee. Instead, Michelle was incredibly rude and dismissive. She told me she "deals with people like me all the time" and said she felt unsafe--simply because I asked a few questions. She spoke down to me, saying she didn't have time to "educate" me, even though I thought that was part of her job as a professional stylist. She labeled my questions as a "consultation" and implied I was wasting her time, despite me trying to be respectful and clear about needing help. I left feeling shocked, disrespected, and honestly hurt. I felt like she had no intention of helping--just collecting an $80 deposit before treating me poorly. This was a deeply upsetting experience. She did a great job keeping the length, which I appreciated. My only complaint with my daughter's haircut is that it was cut crooked. When it came to my hair, unfortunately, this is the worst haircut I have ever had in my life. I'm pretty flexible when it comes to my hair and usually don't get upset over a haircut, but this is honestly insane. My hair was down to my butt. I specifically asked for it to be cut to my shoulder blades with long layers. My hair is now at my chin with extremely short, choppy layers that don't flow or blend at all. And honestly, the length isn't even my biggest problem. Fine, short hair can be cute. I could have gotten over it being way shorter than I asked for. But who layers hair like this? The layers are so short, uneven and choppy that I can't even put my hair up in a bun without pieces falling out everywhere. I have to pin my hair back just to keep it up. I didn't complain while I was at the salon because I honestly feel embarrassed and uncomfortable doing that. I kept hoping that after washing and styling it myself a few times, I would feel differently. It's now been a couple of weeks, and I'm still pissed. Hair grows back. I get that.
