What can I say about the Glen View Building other than it's amazing!!??? The management here is incredible is one of the reasons I kept coming back to see the apartment I really wanted to rent:) The buildings are very clean and quiet and honestly even the neighbors are super friendly:) The area surrounding the buildings are gorgeous all the residential houses make it so safe and easy to take a stroll around the neighborhood on really nice days. I love my apartment it's so perfect and the natural light that I get inside is crazy beautiful:) there's so many parking spots you never have to worry when having guests come over no matter the time of day. We're also surrounded by so many stores and restaurants that you could walk to them or drive a minute or two. Honestly such a wonderful place to live with a built in gym and pool if you're really into that as well:) read more

Okay. Now I'm here to edit my reviews because we moved out last month, and now they charged me with over $600 fee to replace their entire range. We lived there for 3 years and we indeed cook everyday, but we didn't damage the stove AT ALL, there are some normal wear and tear, and for a two-person family who lived there for 3 years, do you expect there's no wear and tear at all?? It's ridiculous that they charged us this with the entire range and didn't provide any evidence to show they can't clean it. Also, if the stovetop is really messy and they need a replacement, the stovetop comes separately and only costs $100~$150, the management team somehow purchased the entire range and blamed on us for "damaging" it. To me, it's just a way they want an upgrade and put the money on the past renters. Please look for other apartments if you have other options, and don't let them take advantage of you, because we are the bloody example that we want everybody to be aware of. DON'T rent from this place! They will rip you off!! After 6 years of being an excellent tenant due to covid we had to move out. They still charged me my last months rent with no discount. From my deposit they took almost $400 dollars for carpet detail. I even rented a machine and cleaned before I left. I left the house in excellent condition. I begged for them to help me as I was relying on that money and after promising they would look into it and making me wait they still refused. I'm appalled and happy to talk to anyone that is thinking of renting from this place. I must mention that they do have silverfish as well and I have pictures and emails as proof!! read more

Well, what can i say. This place was home. After moving various places over the years and nothing feeling like home, ever. I came upon this place. After meeting with the staff and seeing the (at the time) newly upgraded apartments, i signed on. To be quick about it, they staff is friendly, the maintenance team is quick as far as responses, and its just a great place to live! I was in the 55 building, fyi. I moved in 2 months ago with my, now ex, boyfriend. The apartment has been my favorite place to live. I've never been happier with a home. Unfortunately, due to my extremely crappy taste in men, I have to move out and find myself another apartment. Everyone who works there is AMAZING. They are so ridiculously helpful, that it made me want to work there. Megan, the property manager has been absolutely wonderful. From helping me out by giving me a chance even when I thought I wasn't going to be able to afford the place, up until the end by comforting me on a personal level due to my emotional stress. So happy to be moving out of this place, I would not recommend it to anyone. I've lived here for three years and had all possible issues that could happen when renting a place. SEVERAL stolen packages, smell of marihuana in the hallways, insects in the apartment (no matter how many times you call the exterminator, it never works). And, if wanted to move out prior to the lease end due to all of this issues (even 9 days before the lease end) property management would charge a fee worth three months of rent. read more

The complex is going thru a complete renovation making it extremely inconvenient for current tenants. They are constantly shutting off the water, closing the parking lots, damaging internet lines causing you to schedule home services, not to mention the issues that I have had to get fixed inside the cheaply remodeled apartment. This experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. The "move-in" incentives may attract you. However, believe me, when I tell you that it will not be worth it unless you have all the time and the patience in the world to work around everything that they've got going on right now. read more

Note: I live in the 2600 building. Here's the thing about Talisman Village. It's recently under new management. Apparently, based on reading reviews on other sites, it used to be not so great. From what I understand, it's turned around COMPLETELY! I've lived at Talisman for 3 months now and find it very nice. I live in a recently renovated apartment which is very very nice. Central a/c, heating, water, trash, sewer are included in the rent, which makes it easier and guilt-free to change the heat/A/C settings and take long, hot showers (which is a blessing for Chicago winters). I have had issues with noise. I live next to an elevator, which is (I think) why I can hear noises so clearly in my bedroom (my bedroom wall is right next to the elevator wall). I can hear my neighbor (or someone) coughing at night, and muttering, almost like they're in the room with me! This has made me a little paranoid to play louder music or watch TV late at night, so that's the only thing I'd change about the experience. The staff are wonderful. Natalie specifically has been consistently patient and nice (I moved in under strange, stressful circumstances). Sometimes one individual in the office has been more aloof, but still helpful! They're going through the process of renovating, floor by floor, all of their buildings. The 2600 building looks great! The upper floors are modernized and fresh-looking. The ground floor needs work but they can only go so fast. Pros: -laundry on every floor ($1.50 per washer/dryer load) -renovated apartments available (stainless steel, dark cabinets, new marble) -friendly staff and neighbors! -they background check you with your application -they're currently going through a process of background checking current residents and making sure everyone in the complex is safe -big parking lot with lots of space! it's free parking, people!! Cons: -a little more on the expensive side (they're technically luxury apartments!) -the walls are a little thin -you have to pay for storage space -no pets allowed (no cats/dogs... you can have a snail though!) This complex is in a state of flux. They're remodeling and renovating everything. I'm the first living in my apartment, post renovation. My apartment is beautiful, with marble flooring/tiles, new cabinets and new stainless steel appliances. The management team is responsive, and they genuinely care about your living at the complex. The workout room is lovely - just needs a few finishing touches. Plenty of parking, too. So far, I really like living in this complex. read more

I'm sure it will be a great place to live for future residents but currently it is a nightmare living here. They said they were just re-doing the blacktop parking lot and that turned into a full reconstruction of the complex. Parking is a nightmare currently, if you get home past 5:30 good luck finding reasonable parking since all the construction is taking up a good majority of the parking. The pool and fitness room have been out of commission since April and they said that it would be done the end of October and is still not done mid November now, amenities which they are charging us for. Maintenance is okay, you sometimes have to wait a long time for them to come and fix things or sometimes even ask 2 or 3 times. There is constantly trash from the dumpsters all over the place, broken glass, rusty razor blades and nails by the dumpsters. I've gotten a nail in my tire from parking here before and had to fix it. The walls are very thin so I hope you like hearing children running above you or your neighbors having sex. Lived here about 3 years now and I can honestly say had I known they were going to redo and do this much construction all at once, I would have NOT renewed my lease and would have chosen to stay somewhere else. When I first moved in, rent was one of the cheapest for that area and now it's quickly going up. Probably won't be able to live here next year. The only "luxury" things about this place are the nice big balconies and the location to the shops and highways. read more

Where do I even begin with this place :(, I'll start with the leasing agent and her name is Julie, I called in to their office because I was looking for an apartment that was close to Morton Grove. I saw their posting on apartment list and I called and was told to call back later because I needed to speak to Julie......finally got a hold of her and she was very unpleasant over the phone, I introduced myself and asked if I was speaking to the right person and she goes "yeah" what's this in regards too? ummm, I don't know I would think it's regarding apartments lol well anyhow we start talking about apartments and I give her the prices that are online and she says ooh i don't have that available call back in 2 weeks, so I call back and get her again with no personality whatsoever....this time she tells me call back in a month the only thing I have is an apartment that's 1,200 .....which by the way is not what they had on their website. So, i set up a showing with her and she was 15 mins late to the showing and she takes me to another building to show me the apartment, which looked nothing like the pictures on their website, longer story shorter I WOULD STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE, THE AGENT CLEARLY DOES NOT LIKE HER JOB AND THE PICTURES ON THEIR WEBSITE ARE FROM A HIGHER END APARTMENT THAT IS NOT PRICED FOR THE $880 . read more

Never choose here if you have 200 more budget per month. It's my worst choice to leave here. 1. Out of maintenance. Gym, pool are very very dirty and don't work well. Please feel free to have a look. Elevator sometimes will refuse to let you go. I know one of my neighbor was stuck in it. Roads are very bad and hard to drive. 2.Officer are very very rude and non-professional after you sign the lease. You will know that after moving in. 3. Price is getting higher every year. His price is lower than the market price in glenview but his software and hardware even don't worth this price. Other apartment with higher price do worth their price. While Talisman raise their price every year. Trust me , it's really every year. 4.Never buy anything online. Leasing office will not care you package. First the good: -Good spacing all around, plus tons of storage. Even if 2 people move in, sharing the bedroom and living room should be no problem. -Centrally placed A/C (not a heater!)- The unit is quite strong as well; running this just a few hours kept me chilled for days. However, do note that it is cooling only, no heat. -New furnishings give the apartment a very sheik, modern look. -The internet outlet is located in the back corner of the living room. Great for keeping your computer station out of the way, less so if you want it in the bedroom. -Laundry & rubbish disposal are right down the hallway. -Spacious parking lot -Kitchen has a small island, very handy if you don't have or want a full-sized kitchen table. The balcony is nice for the short time you can use it (see Cons) -Maintenance requests are very timely. -Emergency services arrived in ~7 minutes (false alarm due to construction) So with all this going for the place, what could be wrong? Well... -Starting with the big issue; the management. Upon investigating this residence, I was assured that the recreational facilities would be completed by the end of Summer. I moved on this basis (figured a few months lapse was still worthwhile). As of this posting, they owe me ~6&1/2 months of cumulative back-rent for services not rendered. Although said facilities will likely be operational by the time you read this, management's behavior here is how you can expect to be treated should any problems arise. Incompetent at best, and greedy liars at worst. You've been warned. -There is an industrial grade floodlight mounted on the corner of the adjacent residence, and it is pointed directly at your bedroom. The provided blinds do nothing to shield you. If you wish to get any sleep, you will have to invest in heavy-cloth light blocking curtains. This will set you back ~$80. -This light also makes your balcony, another premium feature, completely useless from late afternoon onwards. -Fire alarm: If your bedroom door is closed, there is a good chance you won't hear it. Simple as that. -The A/C, as I mentioned earlier, does not do heating. If you set the temperature above 65 degrees, it shuts off. Admittedly, the apartment does have good insulation, but still. So yeah; very promising at a glance, but having lived here 8 months now, I can assure you it is simply not worth the risk and hassle. If you want a touch of luxury features, there are so many other options both in and around Glenview. Caveat Emptor! read more

If you can find another place, I'd take that. This complex is not very nice. There is a lot of crime. The managers don't do a good job. There is construction everywhere that is never finished, they just leave it for a long time and you have to just "deal with it." It takes forever to get anything fixed and they usually don't even fix it. It's also very expensive and is supposed to even get worse! People say there are cockroaches in the buildings too. i lived here for 3 years, I just left a few months ago, and one of the receptionist told me at that time, there were quite a lot of people leaving on the same month, (it's not surprising). the place was dirty. when I signed up, I thought the deal was good because I paid about $825/month for 1 br, 1ba. but the kitchen were not newly renovated, and had become very rusty. I just sucked it up because of the location and the price was tolerable. but the next year, they increased my lease to about $80/mo even though they didn't do anything to improve the apt. and then the following year, they increased again for another $90/ month, they had the elevator fixed is what I remember. and then they were going to increase again to another $100/mo and it would total to about $1100 something a month, yet they never did anything about the kitchen which have always been rusty. And so, I left. the stairs are also filthy. at least once a month, one of the elevators won't work. please don't stay here. it's not worth it. read more

this was a shitty place. they took so long to gave me an answer. they are not specific about anything they will tell you that your application looks great and next thing you know they will ask you about your citizenship and visa. if you dont have those you are not gonna get approved. it took them week to tell us about it. they should ask those things before hand so we could move on look for another place. when i told them that they didnt mention it they said they had told me about it or some misunderstanding bullshit. read more
