Title: Five Months of Waiting, Repeated Delays, Poor Communication, and Concerns About Contract…read moreTransparency
My experience with this siding company has been extremely disappointing. What should have been a straightforward home improvement project has turned into a frustrating process involving five months of waiting, repeated delays, poor communication, and concerns about whether everything discussed before the agreement was finalized was properly included in the contract.
I have spent approximately five months waiting for this project to be completed. During this time, I made several attempts to get the project scheduled and repeatedly encountered delays. I was told that the manager would contact me, but despite multiple attempts to follow up, I did not receive the promised communication. This left me having to chase the company for updates about a project I had already committed to.
On September 28, I reached out regarding the possibility of receiving a discount or price adjustment because of the delays and repeated communication failures. After waiting so long and spending so much time trying to get answers, I felt that some consideration was warranted for the inconvenience.
The situation became even more frustrating when I received a message from Vice President Chris Sawicki apologizing for the lack of communication. He explained that the supplier had never placed the order for the siding materials. According to his message, this mistake was not discovered until the company attempted to schedule delivery. He acknowledged that the situation was not my fault and explained that additional time would likely be needed for the materials to arrive before the crew could proceed.
After approximately five months of waiting, learning that the materials had not even been ordered correctly was unacceptable and extremely frustrating. This was a preventable mistake that caused further delays and demonstrated a lack of communication and oversight.
Now, I have another concern involving the patio screen. Bob and I specifically discussed the screen during our conversation about the siding and door. However, I have since discovered that the screen was not included in the contract.
I find this particularly concerning. When a company representative discusses an item with a customer during the planning process, I expect the agreement to accurately reflect what was discussed. Discovering that the patio screen was omitted has left me feeling misled. From my perspective, this is not how a professional company should handle a customer's project.
Taken together, these issues have significantly diminished my confidence in this company. Five months of waiting, repeated scheduling problems, failure to communicate as promised, a supplier ordering mistake, and now a missing patio screen have made this an extremely disappointing customer experience.
I believe customers deserve clear communication, accurate contracts, accountability for mistakes, and reasonable consideration when a company's errors cause significant delays and inconvenience. Unfortunately, my experience has fallen well short of those expectations.
I strongly recommend that anyone considering doing business with this company document everything. Keep copies of all contracts, save text messages and emails, and follow up on verbal conversations in writing to confirm exactly what was discussed and promised. Make sure every item, feature, and agreement is explicitly listed in the contract before signing. Do not rely solely on verbal assurances, because discovering later that something you discussed was not included can lead to frustration, disagreements, and additional expenses.
I am asking the company to provide a satisfactory resolution regarding the missing patio screen and to address the overall problems with this project. I also believe a fair price adjustment should be considered in light of the five-month delay and ongoing communication failures.
At this point, I am extremely disappointed with how this has been handled. I would caution other homeowners to carefully review their contracts, document all conversations, and keep records of every follow-up attempt before moving forward with this company. Based on my experience, I would have serious reservations about recommending this company to others.
