I left the car there and he called me and said it was the brakes sticking. There was zero indication that the brakes were swerving or anything. The car stopped fine. So I told him okay. I trusted him. He came and picked me up after the car was done and dropped me off to my car and left. He charged 550$ for back brakes. I got into the car and it did the exact same thing. Hesitant. It didn't want to go. I texted him while trying to get home safely and he never texted back. I had someone look at it, it was a 5$ hose. This man is a crook. He's a out right liar. Just to get a sale!! I'm disabled, elderly. I don't trust mechanics now. He's a real piece of work! Never even returned my text! Your a freaking thief!!

Where do I begin. Was supposed to do a full interior cleaning (make it spotless) $175 worth. Ended…read moreup making it look significantly worse than when I brought it in. Did not call me to say they would rather not attempt to clean due to the type of interior, just decided to keep trying without telling me about the interior until it was all said and done. Had to take my car back to them TWICE for interior cleaning and also tint job. I had all my windows tinted $325 mind you... and there was contaminate all through the tint, was bubbling, and even creased in areas. Once they redid it the second time they sliced my defrost in my rear windshield and then blatantly said they didn't do such thing when confronted. Was also made aware that their secretary was the one who did my interior cleaning. I was refunded all of my money after approaching this issue TWICE with them. He didn't remove the tint that was left on my car, so now I have to either find someone else to remove it, or deal with it. I also had to wait 20 minutes TODAY and call their shop to even talk to someone. 10/10 would not recommend to anyone in my life let alone anyone if they asked me about this business.

My husband was hit by a deer late one night while driving home from Chicago. The windshield was…read moreshattered and basically the whole drivers side of the car damaged. The police called a local towing company who took the car back to their lot. When they didn't bring it to our area (a little over an hour away) the next day as we had scheduled, we looked for a body shop in that area on Yelp and Facebook and found one that looked promising. This is where Heartland comes in! I left a message on their machine since they were closed for the weekend. My first positive surprise was when the owner called me later that day. We decided to have them do the work and told him we'd contact the towing company to get the car over there. Unfortunately it took several days before it got there (which is why I won't be posting a positive review for the tow co.). Once it arrived they reviewed the estimate from our insurance company and started ordering parts. The car was completed sooner than we anticipated based on the length of time insurance estimated, plus thanksgiving week. My husband went to pick it up earlier this week and is thrilled with how it looks. There had been slivers of glass in the interior from the broken windshield, but the guys vacuumed and cleaned out everything...including, apparently, our change cup. They did say we may still find some here and there over time. Bottom line- my husband would recommend them based on the fantastic job they did putting our car back together ($9000+ damage). And I was thrilled with how friendly they were working over the phone. I called several times to see if the car had ever gotten there from the tow lot, and received updates from them once they had it. I've still never met them but wholeheartedly recommend them!
