I brought in my dad's watch, which has a lot of sentimental value, after the manufacturer refused to repair it and sent it back saying it was too old. Really appreciate the craftsmanship and care that went into bringing something meaningful back to life. Highly recommend.

I understand you are in San Francisco, but do you want to charge that much for something simple. I'm going to learn how to do this myself. I will look for another place. We walked straight in and approached Mary who was more than happy to accommodate my request. She was able to look at my earrings under a microscope and then proceeded to take them back to clean them. Once she returned, they were sparkly and shiny again. In meeting Mary, we also met Julia who was the assistant store manager. We engaged them in conversation about lab grown vs natural diamonds. While I don't think I could ever purchase a lab grown diamond, it was interesting to note how they were saying that so many people are buying them now and have driven the cost of natural diamonds down as a result. We were thoroughly impressed with both Mary and Julia who took the time to talk to us even though we weren't there to purchase. It's always refreshing to meet sales associates who are genuinely kind and aren't trying to just sell you on products. It's service like this that in turn make you want to come back and give them business.

Came in looking for a specific brand of British bone china lidded sugar bowl and came out with the cutest cat earrings I've ever seen! Think of this store as more of a thrift shop of secondhand items and less like a fancy antique/vintage store (I came in expecting to find another store like Stuff on Pac Heights and was very wrong). I took my G-Shock GGB100-1A to Ben for a battery replacement after he assured me he could handle…read morethe job. Unfortunately, here's what happened: 1. The job was not completed within the promised timeframe. He didn't bother calling me in advance and informing me about the delay. 2. The incorrect battery was installed, and now the mechanical arms no longer function correctly. 3. Several screws were stripped from overtightening, replacements difficult to find. See the photos. 4. The case is not properly closed, compromising the waterproofing. Have zero trust in this watch after seeing the quality of his work. 5. My follow-up phone call and voicemail were ignored. This watch isn't just a piece of jewelry, it's a functional tool I depend on. Ben should have declined the job if it was beyond his expertise; He would lose 35 dollars but that level of honesty would have earned him a 5-star review from me. This shop might be fine for simple watches, but for more complex or technical work, be aware of the risks. I hope my experience helps others avoid the same mistake.
