My Garmin vivofit stopped working. It needed weird batteries and a phillips head 00 screwdriver. I thought it would be easy, find a screwdriver and replace the batteries. Not so much, and after considerable time spent trying to get the job done by my husband as well as Cole Hardware, we were pointed here. If anyone could get that Garmin apart, Clock World would. Fascinating store with tons of clocks. We had competent help who did what noone else could. He got those tiny screws out and replaced the batteries. I had been taking my Cartier watch to Clock World for over fifteen years . I took it to the owner eight months ago, as my watch was losing five minutes a week, approx a minute a day. The owner knows the watch after all these years. He said " You need to wind it more " I know my watch, and how to wind it after all these years. When Raymond - I think that's his name - took the watch from me he looked at it, and the time was 4:05. He proceeded to wind it very very tight. I asked him at the time why he was winding it so much. he said it needs to be wound more. He did not charge me as all he did was wind the watch. however when I got home the time was still 4:05. I tried to see if it was indeed wound. It was wound so tight you couldn't even wind it at all. It's been eight months, and it stuck at 4:05. Ive been back to store ten times, no one there. I've left five voice messages,on phone , now his box is full. this watch is expensive, and is now broken. I took it to Cartier, they couldn't believe how tightly it was wound. He Raymond wound it so tight the mainspring may be broken. I'm angry . I've had this watch for thirty some years, and it's always worked great. I always took it to Clock World for cleaning, and crystal cleaning. He is nowhere to be found. I used to like him, but he destroyed my watch . read more

Can't fix our clock! Asked for money back and he does not want to do it even though Ray's work has a two year guarantee. Ray came over a total of 5 times. Never could fix it. Our Howard Miller is either fast or slow. When Ray came over to take it to repair it, he said he could get it to stay on time. He brought it back, cleaned up the lose plastic around the wood and supposedly fixed the time. Before Ray touched our clock it was 4 minutes slow. Now it's 9 minutes to 14 minutes slow. After his 5th visit because we asked for some of our money back, Ray told me how to turn the pendulum wheel one time a day to speed up or slow down. It does not work, either way. I don't know what he did, but he did not fix it and $500 was way too much for a bad repair job. If you guarantee your work and you don't fix the item, and you don't return a partial refund, then I think your business is unethical. read more

I wandered into this place with my dog after leaving the post office yesterday. I've been putting off replacing the battery and leather band of my Nixon watch because Nixon was going to charge me $80 for a new band and $20 to replace the battery. I only paid $150 for the watch, so I couldn't bring myself to pay this much. Clock World replaced my leather band and my battery for $30! The owner is knowledgeable and very cute/nice. He replaced the battery in 5 seconds. He had a hard time finding the right band and a few people started lining up so I told him I didn't mind picking it up tomorrow. Raymond is an artist. I took my Schmeckenbecher cuckoo clock for a cleaning. It had completely stopped despite being cleaned in 2014 by a clock repair shop in San Jose. Raymond took several months to repair it but when I went to pick it up I was very impressed. The case was cleaned and oiled, the cuckoo chirped deeply and louder than before, and the tick is discreet instead of loud and obnoxious as it was after the earlier cleaning. It has two dancing couples that move on a balcony below the cuckoo, but one of the pair was missing an arm. Without being asked, Raymond cut a little "prosthetic" for them and painted it to match. The music box has a complex melody and is a double movement joined by a bridge. The song it played had missing notes, off notes and uneven timing but now the music is in tune and there is a whole musical theme I never heard before! I truly appreciate Raymond's masterwork and professionalism, and he even showed me how to prepare the clock for transportation, wiring the chains so that they would not slip off the gears when I took it home. I thank him for bringing my beautiful clock back to life! read more

My clock is over 200 years old. Gilded gold. Beautiful. Bought it off ebay in 'good working condition'. Shoooooot. So I turned to yelp and Clock Wooooooorrrrrrrlllllllllddddd. First things first. He's precious! He's like a little knome with a beautiful kind soul that seems to just glow from his face. You'll just have to meet him. Ok, yeah, back to the clock. He fixed that clock and she keeps perfect time. Perfect. Perfect. He worked on that dang clock for 6 freaking months and never gave up on it. I went in there one time to check on it and it was laying there in a million little pieces and I just knew I'd done the wrong thing. But no, choosing this guy was the best move. I don't see how he gets any work done. People are constantly in the shop or on the phone. Somehow, he does the job. I am honored to recommend this man to help you with your antique clock.
