"RENTERS BEWARE" If you are thinking about spending your…read morehard-earned money, please think long and hard before renting in Morris Crossing in Morristown, NJ. The on-site property management, as well as corporate policies are deplorably ineffectual. Should you decide to move here, the following is what you will have to endure on a daily basis: Constant overwhelming trash pileup. Shamco refuses to pay for larger dumpsters or pay for Morris Crossing to pick up twice a week. So, trash piles up with rodents feasting on it. Dog waste which is littered all over the community because Shamco simply does not enforce the rules. If you have a Doggie - no doubt you will step in someone else's dog waste - on a daily basis. Mice/rodent Infestation which has been ongoing because Shamco does ABSOLUTELY nothing to clean up the trash and dog waste. The inevitable result is that the vermin have now found their way into the dwellings. Several people have moved out because of the rodents that seem to be overwhelming at the community. Poor illumination at night because Shamco refuses to install proper lighting to make the community safe. While vacant apartments have all lights burning all day and night, there is no clear exterior illumination for the tenants who find themselves outdoors at night. Shamco refuses to install cameras on the property. Subsequently, there is no way to identify the perpetrators of rampant illegal dumping or those tenants (and non residents) who do not pick up their dog waste. So these problems remain unresolved, and needless to say, the safety of residents is continually at risk. Shamco does not hire professional plumbers or maintenance people; their solution to tenants with any kind of issue is to just have an unqualified handyman do the work, resulting in improper repairs. Ignoring issues. If providing tenant support requires Shamco to spend money, quite often they will just ignore the tenants' issues. The Parking Lot has been riddled with Pot Holes with no repair in sight which will lead to Flat Tires and unfortunately injured residents. Shamco will raise your rent, but there is no result in proper management or maintenance for the neighborhood. It is not cheap to live here, but don't expect that your rent will provide for proper and timely maintenance and management of this community. They advertise themselves as a luxury community but that is a severely empty promise. If you move here, do not expect value for your money, safety, proper management or care. Shame on Shamco, but more importantly, renters beware."RENTERS BEWARE"

You don't find out how great a staff is until you experiences challenges. I have lived in quite a few apartments within the US. so I'm sharing this from experience. I signed my lease with Berkeley House and within a few months my job required me to relocate necessitating that I break my lease. The staff, especially Susan Spera, Community Manager has made process extremely easy and stress free. Susan explained every aspect of the lease agreement and provided me with flexibility. Great place to live and great people supporting the residents. I'm going to miss it there.

It's now converted into luxury apartments. I was "totally amazed" walking through the complex after soooo many years. There's a beautiful staircase leading to the main level. A Whole Foods and some cool and colorful art cutout life size sculptures are located on the main level. It appears retail shops can be set up here. It'll be interesting sometime to just check out the apartments. I'd like to thank Jeannette L. for providing some great information on the apartment complex. I'll be updating my review with more information as it develops.

Since Sparrow Property Management took over, the building has gone downhill quickly. The property is consistently filthy -- common areas are dirty, trash is poorly maintained, and basic upkeep is not being done. It feels like no one is responsible for keeping the building livable. Basic services are also being neglected. For example, there has been no heat in the lobby or elevators for over 72 hours, with no vendors on-site to address the issue. Snow removal is inadequate and unsafe. Entrances, sidewalks, and walkways are poorly cleared during storms, creating dangerous conditions for residents. Management is essentially nonexistent. The property manager is rarely on-site, there is no visible oversight, and communication is terrible. When issues are raised, they are often ignored or dismissed. Being told directly that "monitoring the property is not her job" is both shocking and unacceptable. Like many renters, I do not currently have the financial ability to move, so I am forced to live with these declining conditions. There is no pride in maintaining this property and no real accountability. Profit has clearly taken priority over providing a clean and safe living environment. AVOID THIS BUILDING AT ALL COSTS!

Especially for guests. The morons apparently couldn't come up with a guest parking. So if you want someone to stay overnight you need to call the police and tell them you have a guest (even doing that most of the time does not work, so expect your guest to get a ticket from time to time). Other than that and the fact that the lady working the front office is a piece of work, not a bad place to live.
