My husband and I have seen some great exhibits here including Ansel Adams and Chihuly. Today we went to see the Mask Exhibit which is in essence a fund raiser for the museum. Local artists all design a neutral mask with their own unique sense of artistry. There were some really impressive displays of artistic talent. Definitely check out the student section for some unbelievable up and coming talent in the art world!

A pair of sculptures located in Old Town Square facing each other in a dance pose…read more These sculptures are part of Fort Collin's Public Art. This pair has been on display since Nov. 2011. Local Artist James Lynxwiler conceptualized and created these dancers. He brought these sculptures to life right in Old Town Historic Downtown Fort Collins. One of the cool things about these sculptures is that the community was able to watch the pouring of the molten bronze demonstration in Downtown FoCo. The permanent sculptures were cast in a local foundry. The community having the opportunity to see the process is such a cool thing! I passed by these while driving in my car and and had to park the car and check them out in person. I enjoyed seeing these very large sculptures close-up! Very whimsical and fun! They should bring a smile to your face, so go check them out!

Not only is this town big on their breweries (there are seriously so many unique, tasty ones here! Tour them! Try them all!), they have a ton of places for outdoor adventures. Horsetooth Reservoir is RIGHT there, and throughout the entire town there are separate trails that cross with other trails. My personal favorite is the Spring Creek Trail. Perfect for bike riding, running, or walking. There are volleyball and tennis courts along the trail, along with picnic spots, grills, community centers. If I lived here, I'd be biking everywhere. You could easily never need a car here. There are also very close options for river rafting, and kayaking (Which we've done in previous visits). Fort Collins has a perfect small-college-town vibe, and I would have LOVED to go to CSU. The downtown area is so walkable, and the food is amazing, the cafes are adorable, the art is fun. As soon as you set foot in FoCo, you can feel how much locals love their town. This place is an utter gem, and so close to my heart.

The interior is upscale. This is a Marriott property and there are great benefits. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are nice, the bed is one of the best beds I've set in. One neat feature, every room has a working record player and in the lobby there's a library of records to borrow. I will be coming back with my wife next time.

I stumbled upon it a few months back while looking for a place to have breakfast with my daughter (ended up at Silver Grill Cafe). After breakfast, we decided to wander around a bit and check out the area. The square is beautiful! In the middle, you'll find a stage that is home to a lot of live music in the evenings, and a fountain/splash pad for the kids (or adults and some dogs I've seen), to run and splash around. They have a piano for the public to play, a fountain to make wishes in, and some interesting local art. There is plenty of seating to sit and watch the kid's play or have a small bite to eat. The fountain/stage are surrounded by a large number of local boutique shops and delicious restaurants. A bonus, a Ben & Jerry's ice cream shop! It is a great area to spend a warm day. At Christmas, all of downtown and old town are lit up with thousands of lights in the trees, on the buildings, etc. It is absolutely stunning! Back to my earlier comment that it truly feels like a Hallmark Christmas movie. They set up Santa's workshop in the middle of the square for kiddo's to meet him, sit on his lap, and take photos. He was such a kind man and was wonderful with the kids. Right next to this, is a skating rink. This unfortunately was disappointing. It's not ice, it's some plastic stuff that is physically impossible to actually skate on. Honestly it felt like a lawsuit waiting to happen with how easy it was to fall. It was uncomfortable and not very fun, we only went two laps and gave up. It was free, so at least we didn't waste any money. It's great for "looks," but don't recommend it. Overall, this is truly one of my favorite places in Fort Collins and I love spending my days here with my daughter.

This review is specifically for The Cupboard's knife sharpening service…read more I had several issues with the service: I was told the sharpening would take 48 hours. No one contacted me within that timeframe, so I waited an extra day and called myself. Only then was I told it was finished. The knife came back with a burr on the tip that I had to remove on my own. A sharpening service should inspect their work and handle basic finishing before returning the knife. The knife was damaged, and nothing was mentioned to me. It looks like a mechanical sharpening tool was used, and it left a noticeable gouge in the finish. This is a $250 Benchmade pocket knife that was essentially like new. Overall, I'm very disappointed. The communication was poor, the knife wasn't ready when promised, the finishing work was subpar, and they damaged an expensive knife without acknowledging it. I only noticed the damage when I got home. While the knife still functions, it's extremely frustrating to have your property damaged and not be informed.

They are all very clean, different, interesting and have the most comfortable beds anywhere! The service is the best anywhere..... friendly, helpful and efficient. Kenzie has been my touchstone for the last few years as i'm there every few months. If you need anything fixed in the room, ideas for meals or activities, she is your girl! However, my new best friends there are Haley, Danielle, and, as always, Ed (my fixer when i lock myself out of the room). I travel quite a bit and there are fancier, more luxurious hotels ( not in Fort Collins) BUT this is a very reasonably priced hotel with charm, lovely rooms and great beds ( so important!) and the wonderful service! This brings back very unpleasant memories for me and I couldn't even take a shower as the showerhead was eye level. To make matters worse the A/C wasn't working, the view out the window was a brick wall and the walls are paper thin. I could hear the guy in the room next to us snore all night. Even the nightstand clock was off by an hour. Talk about not paying attention to detail. It didn't stop there however as even the brunch service was terrible. One-hour wait and when the food finally came the order was wrong. Honestly, I wish I would have just stayed home. I feel like a fool for paying $500 for a night of one bad experience after another. I've stayed at Motel 6's with better amenities. I had high hopes for this place but I was really let down. The bedding was probably the only thing that I enjoyed. The location was also good but just not worth it.
