Below is the review posted to Sparky's Consulting regarding the experience with them "keeping people safe" at the Stampede. Will strongly consider not attending again if this is the quality of the people being contracted and the performative sense of security they are giving to attendees. Love the Stampede but not crappy, rude people who bully patrons and procedures that only seem to harass lawful patrons while not actually catching people who may be a threat. What a joke of a security company. They were conducting weapons screenings at the Greeley Stampede. Watched them miss weapons with their system and "keen" observation twice. Some man child wearing a black cowboy hat at West entrance on the last day was sitting on a table right inside looking at his phone and swinging his legs like a toddler and two others standing by the side. I passed through their machine's sensor and no one said a thing, just pointed to a table with a couple of people checking bags. When I declared I was carrying and presented my permit to them, as stated in the event's literature, they were confused, since apparently they weren't the ones to talk to about that. After some confusion the guy with the hat bigger than his pretend ego spoke to me sharply and told me to come back. I handed him my permit and then he began questioning me as to where I was carrying and how many weapons I had. When I asked him why it was relevant since I had just declared I was carrying and was a legal permit holder he got upset, told me it was so he could scan me in case I had other weapons(WTF). I asked him if there was a limit to how many guns I could carry and what would happen if I had three on me. He said I could carry as many as I wanted and he would then only scan me wherever I said I didn't have a weapon(WTF). He then called me a "dick" and told me he'd "throw you out right now. I don't care" When I asked for his supervisor he told me he was the supervisor. I read the room and having dealt with petty bullies who need to show off to their crew, and having tickets that cost more than his hat, I told him where I was carrying and got ready to get scanned. While I was standing there with my arms out he walked behind me and continued repeat over and over his threat to throw me out, repeatedly calling me a "dick" more times than I kept track. I kept reminding him that I had complied with his request and was waiting for the scan. He finally ran out of things to say, or more accurately likely got tired of just repeating the same insult and threat, and told me to raise my arms to get scanned(they had been up the whole time). He then did what can only be described as the laziest scan I have ever seen (hey did I mention that I've worked security in an official, i.e. governmental, capacity and am trained in searches of people and things for weapons - do it on a pretty regular basis actually) and then told me to "get out of here". When I asked him what company he worked for he told me "figure it out". Can't say I'm surprised since the rent a cop vibe was thick. I'm sure he felt good and probably bragged the rest of the day and posted all night to the rest of the incels about how he taught me a lesson in who was the boss. Sure he'll still be telling that story years from now to his "girlfriend" online or his cellie. So in part, I'm glad he got something to make his pathetic life better for all the hard times he'll likely experience. But as for a company that permits this behavior and hires this type of person - total POS. Zero stars if possible for: 1) inability to actually catch people carrying weapons - literally their only job there 2) being rude and unable to have a rational policy for what they are doing - seriously scanning declared weapon carriers to make sure they aren't carrying MORE weapons? 3) Hiring little ego, little mind people to interact with the public and failing to train or instruct them in how to do a good job. So if you're looking for a professional, courteous company that does a good job - look elsewhere.

Greeley Stampede is always a good time with the rodeos, concerts, parades, food, and shopping…read more However have been rather disappointed with my experience this year: 1. Parking is too much for a smaller event 2. The audio for the concerts has been absolutely atrocious, can't even hear the artist 3. Sell obstructed view tickets without prior notice Hoping they can fix this next year as it's a great event that highlights local businesses.
