Does not adhere to any ADA rules. No Handicap parking, must climb a full flight of stairs. Then no seating available except up another flight of stairs. Now you can no longer see the stage you must watch on a TV screen. I have never seen a venue so blatantly not cater to the handicapped. read more

Went to see William Clark Green at the Moxi last night and the talents of all the performers, from opening to main event, were hidden and spoiled by incompetent sound management. The bass volume was two to three times higher that optimal. The result is that the base cover the vocals and most of the lead guitar solos. It was just a little "off" but the bass was wildly over boosted. If this were a dancing venue, such misguided sound management might have been forgivable. Unfortunately, this was a concert, where we wanted to understand the words and clearly hear the guitar solos. It's a really nice venue, for small concert listening. They need to hire a new sound person. read more

The Moxi is one of my FAVORITE music/performance venues I have seen shows all over Colorado, and The Moxi remains as one of the best. Their performances are always stellar, with exciting lighting, epic sound, and a variety of artists who come through (even comedians!) The staff is always very friendly, especially those working the bar! A bonus is that the bar area is separate from the stage, because it's a great place to sit and chat with friends (don't worry- the stage is live-streamed in the bar!) The location is also really fun, as there are so many local businesses around to support! Enjoy a night of dinner and a show by having rooftop tacos & tequila at Luna's right next door, and then come and head-bang your face off at a Saints of Never After concert at the Moxi! read more

As a local musician, radio dj and music promoter, I've been to every venue in Northern Colorado in my 40+ year career. In a city with a university known as a national jazz education center, Greeley has been more well known for cover band bars than jazz clubs or original music venues. Ely Corliss has done something the past several years never before fully achieved in Greeley, CO. Ely launched and has maintained an intimate music venue specializing in local and regional and national touring original acts. It's intimate size means that seating is limited but sight lines are unimpeded. Sound can be loud, but the bar offers soft foam ear plugs if desired. The booking staff does well to keep the lineup diverse, offering a broad range of styles from hardcore rap, metal and punk to blues and country. The one downside is that there is a long flight of stairs to enter the venue, making access potentially challenging for some (my knee told me so last night). Food is not served inside, but outside food may be brought in. Highly recommended is Luna Taco beneath the venue, that Ely Corliss co-owns. Bottom line = a lively small music venue in a college town that serves the entire community of music lovers regardless of age or music appetite. read more

My first time at this venue, and it was surprisingly small. Lol I suppose I should've expected that coming into a small town. To reach the venue, you must travel up stairs and I didn't see an elevator. The "box office" accepts credit cards but unfortunately their credit card machine was down so to buy tickets it was cash only. If you didn't have cash, their was an ATM machine right next to the entrance. As soon as you enter, you have the men and women's bathroom directly in front of you with the bar on your left and the stage on your right. The bartenders were very nice and if you're only drinking soda, you get free refills. They had a water cooler to grab water whenever you needed it without asking for it. The stage was quite small from what I've seen and been to. But that gave you an opportunity to be very close to the band aka Jboog! Lol. The merchandise booths were on the two corners of the floor. They also had a standing balcony and two levels with reserved seating. Overall, small but quite intimate type of venue. The price of tickets aren't bad either. read more

Really wanted to support a small venue in this difficult time, so decided to try a show. Website indicates COVID precautions are in place at the venue. Patrons should BEWARE THe venue is not following ANY social distancing practices or enforcing mask wearing and the is operating at a higher capacity currently allowed under COVID restrictions. I do not usually write reviews, especially now because most small businesses are struggling and trying to find ways to just keep paying the light bill so when things improve they will still be in business. However, I found this venue's complete lack of regard for their patron's safety appalling. When I asked the staff at the Moxi about their lack of adherence to the COVID precautions, the response was, "We are just doing it," meaning they were disregarding the restrictions. I checked and when you purchase tickets, there is a liability waiver that says, "By attending this event, you and any guests voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19 and agree not to hold Moxi Theater, The Crew Presents Inc., the band, or any of their affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, contractors, or volunteers liable for any illness or injury." It seems patrons would assume the risk with the expectation BASIC requirements will be followed. Just like one would expect proper safety measures to be in place, like fire or food safety protocols when entering an establishment, one should be able to expect the establishment would be following health code requirements for COVID, which were not being followed. I contacted the venue with my concern and never heard back from anyone. I did note new shows advertised now have a statement posted, "Due to the nature of the event, Social Distancing may not be possible." Social distancing is NOT possible because the venue has not set up anything to facilitate social distancing. The tables are not set 6ft apart & the general admission area is full with people standing next to each other not wearing masks. It's quite disappointing this venue is not being more responsible to ensure the safety of their patrons. Other live music venues, like Washington's in Ft. Collins, have not been able to open safely so they continue to try and survive to make sure their patrons are safe and can one day enjoy live music. I would rather have given my $ as a donation to one of the venues that are not operating then to the Moxi for a show I couldn't enjoy or watch because the venue wasn't adhering to the basic safety requirements/expectations. My fiancé and I had our ID's checked at the door we went to order a drink and the snarky bartender asked for our wrist bands I told her we were not given any but if she's questioning my age she could check my ID she snapped back at me UMM NO WE CANT serve drinks without wrist bands... really My State issued ID showing i am legally old enough to drink isn't enough to get one drink?! Awesome music venue with crooked barstaff. Drank 4 coors light 16 oz beers and was charged $41 thanks to a magical "show charge"- bear in mind that i had already paid $12 to get in. Couldn't argue the charge due the itemized bill that the bartender failed to explain. These guys frickin suck! Never going back regardless of who plays. read more

The Moxi Theater has become a premier Northern Colorado small concert venue. Owner Ely Corliss has created a friendly, intimate venue for local, regional, and national acts. The facility is located on the 2nd floor overlooking a downtown plaza and features a bar area separated from the performance hall. The stage is small, but I've seen 15-20 piece bands perform there comfortably. Seating is available by prior reservation. The Moxi features acts of all genres, even cultivating a Blues series that features an early show (for us more "seasoned" patrons). Numerous acts have remarked how nice the venue is and enjoy playing there. The staff is quite helpful and friendly and the bartenders are great; serving premium drinks and a good selection of regional quality beers. The facility is available for special events. Do yourself a favor and enjoy a show (or many) at Greeley's Moxi Theater! read more
