I've always heard good things about the Garage and unfortunately reverse went out on my truck and they had to rebuild my transmission and I had them do an oil and filter change while they were at it. I am very happy with the work they performed , when picking up the truck I had an issue with the truck and they were very professional about the problem and had it taken care of for me. I would highly recommend them for repairs on your vehicles.

The Garage on 3rd Street in Tehachapi, CA.

While getting gas in Tehachapi on our way back to the Bay Area from a wonderful Las Vegas/Arizona road trip, the door to my gas tank became lodged and the latch wouldn't open. A local tried to help me, but he wasn't able to jimmy it open and was afraid to damage it, so I asked him for a local shop and he referred me to The Garage, where he said they were great, and more importantly, they were HONEST! When we arrived, the team got to work trying to figure out how to get it open. They figured out it was the latch and an electrical part, but they didn't have what they needed to fix it, so one of them came out to troubleshoot and was able to pry it open without causing any damage to the car minus a small scratch. I want to thank these wonderful gentlemen for helping us out and sending us safely on our way home! Merry Christmas and may you all be blessed! Now you know where to go when you have car troubles in or near Tehachapi on the 58 East or West!

This is who they helped me get back home to! Thank you ladies! God bless!

STUPENDOUS EXPERIENCE! Never have I come across a mechanic shop who genuinely care! I came out for work and my car took a shit on me while I was trying to head back home towards L.A. so i could spend time with my 4 day old son. AAA recommended The Garage to fix my starter(which was my issue ). They went above and beyond to make sure they got me out of there so i could head home to see my son! I honestly cant help to feel blessed to have come across this shop and the amazing workers when i did. I was beyond stressed about everything but they made me feel comfort. The job they did was excellent on my civic and fast! IF YOU HAPPEN TO BE IN THE AREA AND IN THE NEED OF A FIXING. DONT LOOK FURTHER JUST GO HERE! YOU'LL THANK ME LATER THANKS AGAIN EVERYONE!

Erin and Jen made it happen for under $500 because it was not what we thought and they were honest.

I brought my car to this place in town to look at it. He did me a diagnostic for 150$ on why it…read moredidn't start. He said there was an issue with the fuze so he wanted to install a bypass wire to just get the car started, which would of been just a grounded wire straight to the battery to start the car, not a permanent fix but would be an inconvenience to start it every time and he was going to charge me 2,000$ for it. Then he stated the car gave him two codes one for the crank shaft position sensor and cam shaft sensors and now he's telling me the engine is wrong so it would be another 1,000$ I decided to take my car out of there and he charged me 300$ for nothing ! He didn't fix my car and charged me two diagnostics. Anyways I took my car to another mechanic in Lancaster and he figured it out and so the vehicle had a GPS/kill switch from the dealer ship. There was a faulty wire or some kinda of issue with it and he removed the dealership GPS/kill switch and did a little rewiring to let the car start naturally, by doing that they fixed my car and removed the crank shaft and cam shaft sensor codes. Essentially fixing the car completely for a low cost of 220$. Meanwhile AA advanced mobile mechanics wanted to charge me up to 3,000$. Clearly they like to rip people off! Anyway, Thank You J&J Electric and Auto repair for fixing my car.

He's very good at explaining what happened and what was done to get us back on the road at a very fair price. Thank you Rodolfo!
