It's a pretty simple store with not a lot of space, but they have jam-packed the space they do have with furniture. And its not the cheap stuff either. If you're wanting to assemble your own furniture, and maybe dont care if it breaks down after a year, try ikea. But if not, and if you live nearby and are scanning the area for that specific piece of furniture, come on in and take a look at whats around at Chris's. You'll probably know within the first few minutes if the place has what you need or not, so stop by. But maybe don't go out of your way to get here.

But when you completely fill them like I do, they tend to buckle and wear out quite easily. So I have begun to invest in proper, quality wood bookscases. Chris's timber furniture offers well sized and good quality stained bookcases and the prices are reasonable, I can pack them full of books and DVDs and they won't buckle. They also sell custom made furniture which would be more expensive and they have really good bedroom storage also reasonably priced, I might go back and get one of those cane basket storage thingies, oh didn't I mention I buy too many clothes too.

Definitely hard to get to by public transport, your only options are essentially buses to Bondi Junction or buses to the city. Quite a large carpark, parking is free (limited to 2 hours undercover) - with plans to redevelop and expand the shopping centre upwards - with hopefully some larger chains to open up.

If you live in the Southern Highlands, this is the nearest place with large theaters for those big, first run films (think Avatar). It is also right next to a major train station that will get you directly to the Sydney Airport in about 45 minutes. Lots of parking, food options, and all the major chains can be found here. You might not realize that having access to these types of places is a big deal unless you move far away to a regional area, and then you will understand the huge value of having all of this under one roof.

Oh, New Balance do some good work (just ask sneaker freaker Dan Hong) but for me, it will always be Air Max or bust. So I done gone did it. I splashed out and bought myself a shiny new pair with red highlights because that makes me, er, walk faster. You don't actually run in Air Max. They're a lifestyle shoe, not a running shoe. You'd be crazy to run in them. This store is an In the Run store meaning it's more focused on jogging and fitness apparel and has less range than the flagship Pitt St Mall store.

I'm not a dedicated running shoe brand user, but the lightweight FreeRun range are on feet all over town - or perhaps just noticeably so because of the lurid colour range. Dri-Fit running tops and shorts in all styles - and again a great excuse to splash out on colour that you just couldn't get away with in regular daywear.

Westpoint In Blacktown is a mess right now as one of the main parking garages had a structural…read moreproblem and has been under repair for the last six months. If there is a structural issue on the parking garage how are we too be sure if there isn't an issue with the whole mall. With that said it doesn't look as if that bothers any of the customers. We went on a Wednesday around noon time and guess what the mall was super busy. It took 10 minutes literally to find a parking spot and another 10 just to exit the mall, of course because of the one garage being out of service. The mall has 3 levels with the first and third floor food courts. All sorts of different shops for customers to find everything they came to get. 3 star rating because of the parking issues and chaotic atmosphere.
