They advertise retro consoles but that offering is pretty anemic 1 NES with Mario Bros / Duck Hunt, Atari Flashback system and a Sega Genesis Flashback system is all that is offered and by looking at an older review it has been that way for about a year so that is pretty disappointing to say the least. In a separate room they have an air hockey table and some pinball but those require pay to play and are not part of the play all day which did kind of feel like for lack of a better term a ripoff since I been to other similar establishments where it was just part of the package. They seem to be focusing heavy on their VR experiences which require you to purchase individual tickets to use and we didn't really use them since we came for the arcade portion. Overall we had fun, it was about a 40 minute drive and we stayed about 3 hours and had fun if you're into VR experiences it is probably a lot of fun but I probably will not be back unless they add more games or consoles.

I was pretty surprised it was almost completely empty. Some of my favorites too, a lot that I've never had the chance to play outside of home console collections before, like Bosconian and Smash TV, Crystal Castles, Trog, and Crazy Taxi. All the games were seemingly set to their easiest settings, so if you're looking for a challenge you might be here a while trying to max out high scores. My only critique is that the only retro consoles advertised in the name are an AtGames Plug-in-play Sega Genesis and Atari Flashback, and an NES with only the Duck Hunt/Mario cartridge. They said they used to have others, such an N64, but people broke them. I hope they get some new stuff in terms of that aspect soon.

Anyway, there were only a few folks inside. I got a drinkable Pinot grogio in a purple cup which means you can walk around 805 carrying your drink. It was way too cold to consider that. I was happy to see they have (among a ton of video games) an old school Galaga that brought back great memories of hours playing this!

They have beers, sodas, ice cream shakes, and a few wine options. The wine options are dismal. For someone who doesn't drink beer or like sodas, the options were quite disappointing. The staff were not too friendly. They used megaphones to yell announcements from time to time. The set up is odd...you have to walk over to the bar to pay for wristbands ($12 each) upon entering. There is no way of clearly knowing this, besides the workers yelling to come over to the bar. Some people seemed to be confused and would immediately walk around and go to games, but then the staff would yell at those customers to come to the bar and pay. They need signage or something to make the process more clear whenever you enter. This would help cut down on all the unnecessary yelling by the staff. Whenever we arrived around 6 PM on a Saturday, it was packed with kids. The crowd got older as the night went on. A handful of games were broken, and some were simply confusing to play. We ended up playing the same 2-3 games the whole time we were there. More variety would be nice. It was still a unique way to spend an evening.

I recalled that the food was good and anywhere that has ski-ball is ok with me. I ordered Buster's Bacon Burger. It was loaded with barely cooked bacon that I pulled off - not at all appetizing. I ordered my burger medium-well, yes, always a crapshoot. It was burned to a crisp. I also opted for the gluten free bun. Hard as a rock. To our server's credit, she did have them redo the burger - the redo was much better but, unfortunately, still not a burger I'd come back for. The accompanying fries were nothing special. The overall assessment is "meh". The staff deserves a shoutout - they really did do what they could to salvage my meal. I was very impressed and appreciative. My husband ordered the fire grilled salmon. The piece of salmon wasn't large but was adequate. He liked the salmon but I thought it tasted a bit fishy. The rice pilaf was nothing but a scoop of plain rice. The green beans were full of steamed cherry tomatoes that he really enjoyed. His opinion: it was alright but I wouldn't order it again. We had a coupon for game play. We played a few games but decided to call it an early night. I bought the power card because I thought we'd bring our 4 year old grandson. I guess we'll have to wait a little while - There really wasn't much that he could play. The restaurant was nearly empty so diners were seated at high tops around the bar. Service was attentive and our server was particularly nice. Parking was easy. Although they do have gluten free buns (a $2.99 upcharge), there are very few GF items on the menu. The restaurant was clean including the restrooms. There is an extensive drink menu and a happy hour that looked worth trying out. I highly doubt we'll be back for food but since we still have the power card, we'll probably come by for happy hour and a few rounds of air hockey and of course some ski-ball!

The bartender working was on the other side of the bar and mostly on her phone while there. Which we all thought was odd seeing as this is a tipped position. If you're given the opportunity to make tips, why would you choose to not be present? Honestly, we all had to flag the bartender down more than once. We eventually bowled while here and the lanes, balls, etc, were perfectly fine with the exception of dead spots on the lanes. You couldn't slide on your finish because you'd just come to a full stop. Also weird, they had the foul lights turned on...this was a Friday just after noon. Who is their target demographic on an early weekday afternoon? We had a number of food dishes as well, including pizzas, quesadillas, wings, etc. The quesadillas were pitiful. I honestly thought they were pita chips at first. The wings were fine. The Pizzas were pretty good. Another oddball observation, we were given almost the equivalent of punch bowls for salsa and ranch. Even more odd, we received not a single serving utensil for the food nor the sauces. All in all, not horrible but just not great. It'll honestly 100% depend on the reason you're there.
