I ordered a regular size with banana, strawberries, and blueberries. They do not skimp on the toppings! The upstairs seating was great to get some work done and the staff was super friendly and helpful!

But I have heard good things of the new-ish Fruit Stand, located right by Cleveland's Playhouse Square, so I resigned to paying $13 bucks for a bowl of fruit and granola, and tried it out for lunch before a show in May 2026. This place was HOPPING at 12pm on Sunday in May 2026. And the music they had on were all early-2000s BOPS! It is also very instagram-friendly inside. If I had more time, I would have gotten better pictures. The young girl behind the counter was very sweet and helped me create the best bowl for my mood that day. I ordered the medium acai bowl ($12) although I was worried if I was going to be able to finish it in time for the Broadway show I was going to next door. (Spoiler alert - I definitely finished it!). I got the mixed soft serve base of strawberry acai and peach soft serve. It had melted by the time I got to it as it was on the bottom. #life of a slow eater Then I got to choose 3 fruits. I chose banana slices, strawberries, and pineapple. As for the crunchy toppings, I got half and half of birthday cake granola (yes) and oreos (yes yes)! Then had honey as my drizzle. They were VERY generous with the honey! My creation looked gorgeous! I went and ate it quickly in their upstairs seating space and dealt with a little bit of a sugar crash later in the day! I wish they had some healthier crunchy and drizzle topping options! And my strawberry slices were still a bit frozen. But overall, I loved my lunch from The Fruit Salad. I wish I had had more time to enjoy it since I had to eat it really fast. Next time!!

This is one of those spots where either 1) the person who opened this thought you just throw money…read moreat a franchise and VOILA! you start making money. Not realizing you have to actually be there and well; work. *or* 2) There's some corporate overlord who says "your labor can't be over so and so percent!" so they can't have more than one or two people on the clock at a time. Either way; it's the same result. One; and sometimes on a good day: two... grumpy employees who make the visit as pleasant as a root canal. If you want to wait 45 minutes for a very expensive; very small bowl; while the employee(s) gets completely overwhelmed by the number of online and pickup orders, then Bahia Bowls is right up your alley. I'm going to give the hourly workers a pass here. Mainly, because the couple times I've been there, they were getting orders from ten different places; and expected one person to be able to handle it. That's really bad management/ownership. Worst case, the owner/franchisee can come work *with* them, because that doesn't affect labor at all. Leaving your employees on an island is just going to cause unpleasant workers, giving unpleasant service, making people give unpleasant reviews, and ultimately never coming back. If this place wants to exist through all of 2025 and beyond; they better get their stuff together ASAP.
