The service was good, beautiful old house. The Sunday brunch is what we went there for and we all were pleasantly surprised.

We have heard such wonderful things about the owner, Bonnie but unfortunately we didn't get to meet her this time.

Ambiance: cute Victorian style decorations make you feel like you walked into an old fashioned doll house. Food: cute little finger sandwiches and pastries. You eat with your eyes here. Service: extremely nice servers. TL/DR: perfect place to have a tea party with your kids!

We looked in the tea pot and saw only one tea bag was inside so we had to ask for another tea bag. Then the broccoli soup arrived it was watered down and had no taste. 30 minutes later tea sandwiches arrived along with pastries it was all stale white bread with cucumber, egg, and ham none of them had any flavor. My Granddaughter who is ten loves chocolate and sweets took a bite of the chocolate cup cake and put it back. The pastries were terrible tasteless! At that point after tasting the ham, cucumber soup and a few pastries we decided to leave. when the bill arrived it was 170.00 dollars for watered down soup extremely thin stale tasteless sandwiches and terrible pastries. Everything tasted store bought and for Mother's Day and the amount of money they charge you would expect to have at least a good cup of tea! It is after all a tea house! Did I mention that the staff had no personality and gave no experience to remember. I never do reviews but feel like I need to save someone from ruining a special occasion. This was suppose to be special for my daughter and I to celebrate Mother's Day together and my granddaughters 10th birthday. We all had a terrible experience left hungry and disappointed! After paying 170.00 !

We're pampered like princesses and queens, with no question asked. The best 2 hours spent well! We're starting out with a list of tea selections, which is harder because all flavors sounds delicious. The lists start with store signature tea blends, continues with White Tea, Green Tea, Black Tea, Black Tea Blends, Oolongs, Mate, Herbal Infusions, Red Tea. All selections of tea are served with bottomless pots. For pastry menu, there's a lot of selections from Royal Tea, Full afternoon tea, Light afternoon tea, Kate's tea, Cream Tea, Dessert tea, Children's tea. On our visit, we got the Just Pear-fect, Autumn Blend, Black tea blend, Strawberry Kiwi that's perfect for children, and hot chocolate. For the savory bites we love the scones, turkey sandwich, quiche, cucumber sandwich, and ending it with homemade sorbet as sweet bites. Don't forget to check out the restroom while you're there, they have the sweetest decorations. #katepearltearoom #teatimeparty #sykesvillemd#preservefootprints

You were encouraged to switch between the flavors vs stay with the same type of tea. This was the first afternoon tea where received a fruit and cheese board, salad, chilled fruit-yogurt soup before receiving the warm, lovely scone and the three tiers of sandwiches and sweets. Many of the sandwiches had some fruit like a slice of strawberry or peach in addition to the meat for spread. The tea china and presentation were wonderful as was our waitress. I thought it was a great value for the price. There was one bathroom on the level. Parking was around the corner or we parked farther down the street.

I saw online it is by reservation only, so I requested tea for 2 and quickly received a confirmation. There is a small private parking lot where parking is scarce, especially for a handicapped space. You can always try your luck on nearby Main St. I was able to drive over a snow pile to secure a close space. The venue is locked otherwise so it is opened as reservations arrive. We were early but seated in a lovely table by a window seat. Lovely tea cups and a carafe of water were present on the tables. The menu consisted of new seasonal St Patrick's Day and Easter tea flavorings, along with a variety of black, white, green and herbal teas. Each food pairing was just the right portion, tasty and visually appealing. The food was plentiful. We even brought a small box of sweets home with us! The venue is perfect for dressing up if you want, or not. Parties and showers are perfect here. Seating is comfortable and the space is attractive. Price point is very reasonable. Under $30 per person for 4 courses and nearly unlimited tea offerings. I tipped generously because Lauren went above and beyond to showcase her menu and make sure it was enjoyed. I fully intend to visit here in the future and recommend others do as well.

I've…read morebeen enjoying afternoon/high tea for over 40 years at places all over the world, so I immediately put it on my list for my next trip to Litiz. However, when I looked at the menu, I was surprised to see a $7.95 upcharge for gluten-free, vegetarian, or vegan options. In all my years of experiencing tea services, I've never seen an additional fee for dietary restrictions. As a vegetarian, this was especially disappointing. I live in a large metro area where many restaurants - large and small, accommodate dietary needs without extra charges. While I understand the need to notify the restaurant in advance, adding an upcharge for something so common today feels unnecessary and unwelcoming -- especially at a time when more and more people are reducing or eliminating meat. Unfortunately, this policy has not only turned me away as a potential customer, but it has also discouraged my friends who often visit Lititz with me. Even though they don't have dietary restrictions themselves, they view the surcharge as unnecessary and punitive, and it left all of us with a negative impression.
