Excellent well kept beers from Fuller's and their associated breweries, along with occasionally interesting guest ales. Food is good, with an ever-changing menu of top quality gastro-pubby food. It's not cheap, but it is very good. They also do roasts on Sunday, although they stop doing food at 5pm then, and 9pm the rest of the week. There's a nice beer garden out the back, a fairly darkened back area to the bar with tables and a front area near the bar with booths and tables. There are a few picnic tables out front, but since they're right by the busy road I don't use them much. Inside, you'll find a marvellous pub, though. Nice surface, rails, windows and booths. There are some bench seats with stools. There's a great fireplace in the front room, too. The middle rooms are dark and cozy, with benches along the wall and chairs or stools on the other sides of the table. The back rooms have larger tables for groups (one in a dim area, one under a skylight), plus some two-seater cast-iron-foot tables. The entire pub, being right across the road from Ealing Studios, has framed pictures and posters from the Ealing comedy films throughout. Good for fans of The (original) Ladykillers. Out back is a really nice beer garden, renovated just a few years ago. Most tables are under a roofed area or under the immense retractable umbrella. It's a really nice vibe back there in the summer. People often bring their dogs back there. The typical Fullers Chiswick beers are here - London Pride and the rest - and there's usually a guest ale on. Food is top-notch, too, with huge portions. The menu is relatively small, but I've not been disappointed by anything. The sausage & mash or the burger is usually my fave. EDIT: 15-Mar-09. On Sunday nights, the Red Lion now serves Pieminister pies (http://www.pieminister.co.uk/) from 5-9:30pm. They're £8.95 and come with mash, gravy, and minty peas. If you've never had these pies, get in and try some. They are amazing.

It's small but had a pretty good beer selection of standards, London Pride, Hobgoblin and something different like Welcome Spring. On one side they have a pool table (one of the only pubs in Ealing with one!) and the other side has some nice tables, and they also have some nice outside seating. It's definitely a local's pub.

I'm not sure if we just got lucky? but there was live music on the night we came and it was a great vibe. Food wise, my wife and I got their chicken satay, the fish and chips and the Basil chicken. And honestly everything was great. Fish and chips was fried perfectly and a HUGE portion. I was worried the thai food would be sort of subpar but the basil chicken was good too. See pics/videos posted w/ this review) - Historic (built in 1893) but doesn't feel outdated - Only has 26 rooms so no issues w/ noise, room was very clean & had a comfortable bed - It's a boutique hotel AND a pub (Fullers) all in one! Very convenient to grab some food and drinks at Fullers pub & then head back to your room afterwards. - Also has a beer garden! - Close to the West Ealing station..w/in walking distance - Great breakfast served in the Sitting Room - All employees were so friendly & very welcoming! Once inside you are in pub heaven with a traditional looking lounge at the front, you almost walk into the bands as you enter the pub but there's plenty of seating to enjoy the music from a safe distance too. You pass through another section before the place opens up to the main bar at the back. It has quite a continental feel to it, and I can't believe I didn't immediately spot the massive vats at the back - I was too busy admiring the statues on the bar. And it's difficult not to be tempted by the selection of beers when in a brewery and I didn't regret my choice of Achtung. They also serve food and while the main menu is limited to sausage rolls and pies you can also order pizza or sushi which is delivered directly to your table by local takeaways. I'll definitely be back, a real gem.

It has an ambiguous reputation, meaning my imagination ran wild with the all kinds of grott and depravity it could be. This place blew my expectations. I imagined some tacky bar with large dancefloor and disco-balls galore. Some attempt to rival the Soho scene. Oh No. It's a pub. A really big pub. Traditional pub sign hanging high outside proudly coloured in rainbow. Inside, aside from the purple-pink neon bar it's your local. Good selection behind the bar and really reasonable prices. The staff are unpretentious and friendly. There's a real feeling of community here, everyone knowing everyone, instead of everyone sleeping with everyone. We went on a Friday, the evening started early with great entertainment. A wonderful gentleman playing you show tune classics on the stunning grand piano in one section of the bar. We moved from the dance classics to join him. He took requests and invited us up to sing. It was a wonderful atmosphere for friends catching up. Moving on from civilised sing song and chat we take up our space on the dancefloor and get ready for the head-liner. A fantastic caliber of drag act entertained us. Far from your dodgy man in a dress was this wonderful entertainer that warmed us up for an energetic night on the dancefloor. This pub is great for groups. Pool table, seating, different spaces for different crowds and a good atmosphere. It's not always very busy, even on this particular Friday it was no where near full, and it was quite clear they were mainly audience for the headline act. Don't get me wrong, it's still all kinds of camp, disco balls included and the ladies leave a lot to be desired but it's got a lot of soul. Bingo nights, karaoke nights, quiz nights, DJ's, drag shows, a massive garden, a piano lounge, big dance floor, comfy sofas, yeah, everything you could wish for when you want a night out! Another reason for this being my favorite place is that the people who go there seems more relaxed than in central London. Less artificial and pretentious. There is also a big mix between girls and boys, women and men, straights and gays, in all ages! If you want a good and fun night out, or just somewhere to chill, this is your place!

We have been coming to the Kent for years including Christmas Day…read more We were there for lunch on Monday with family and our dog and it was very quiet, in fact the inside of the pub was empty. The young lady behind the bar was rude, unwelcoming with an air of superiority. Our dog was on her lead and sniffing around, as dogs do, and she abruptly said to keep control of her. I replied she's on a lead! We ordered lunch and sat in the garden the same girl brought our food out and told us to get our own cutlery pointing somewhere across the pub garden. We then ordered some tea and they had no milk - what restaurant has no milk. There's a Coop 2 minutes up the road. A gentleman came out and asked if we had a car parked in the pub, again very unfriendly, when he found the couple, he abruptly told them to move their car. They left. If you don't enjoy working in a customer service role, do something else or train your staff on how to treat people. I have had great service from young gentlemen in the past, but we will not be coming back to have a sunny day's lunch ruined by appalling service. Go to the Village in or The Drayton Court.
