A very nice historic (well over a hundred years) hotel in EalIng. Our room is a really nice, clean, spacious en-suite room on the first floor and the staff super efficient and friendly. Unheard of for London - parking is FREE! Also the prices are exceedingly reasonable. Why free parking? Why lovely room at very reasonable prices? The slight down side it is 1 mile (19 minutes walk) from the nearest underground (tube) Station - Ealing Broadway (zone 3) for Central and District lines. On the other hand you are literally over the road from thE West Ealing railway station that takes you to Paddingtom and even Heathrow Airport. All of this for a very reasonable price (we paid about £104 all in) and breakfast included (a buffet and/or an extensive choice of cooked breakfast - I had the Eggs Royale Definitely two thumbs up! We will be back Review #5 2020

Drayton Court was my homebase during a recent trip to London. Located in the Ealing neighborhood, it will take you approximately 25 mins via Uber to get into the City Centre. I enjoyed staying in a local neighborhood and witnessing the locals gather in the pub (main level of the hotel) to watch a soccer match. I didn't have any beer, but the food sure was delicious. I stayed in the Kind Hearts and Coronets suite, and it was quite a treat. It came with a comfortable bed, a huge bathroom equipped with a claw foot tub, and plenty of space. The employees were all very friendly and eager to assist with any questions I had. Skip the city centre and stay at The Drayton Court for an authentic experience in London.

Lovely place!

This is my local pub, but despite walking past it almost every day I only have been there once. The atmosphere is lovely and very English. The food, and especially the deserts were great... Slightly overpriced. Pool tables.

It was at least my fith visit here until I discovered the EPIC BEER GARDEN!! Seriously, I just didn't know there was a back end whatsoever. But it is huge. A mixture of patio and grass seating. Just goes to show what a creature of habit I am when all I do is hide in the bit with the pool table. The Drayton is one of the nicer pubs in the area, which is why I actually get a bus, yes a bus to get there. It's a nice fullers pub, hotel and wedding venue. The pub is nicely divided in sections, without being completely cut off from one another. Drinks are reasonable and there's a good range. The Drayton tries to be a bit different. The menu changes and there's a daily specials menu each day. They also have lots of entertainment such as comedy nights and I believe... salsa. The toilets are lovely. The ladies are a bit of a mission away. You have to go past the hotel reception and down the stairs, but its a necessarily and pleasant enough journey. Now I know the gardens there tho, I'll be enjoying by pint al fresco from here on in.

I never expected to be blown away by a pub on Acton High Street. ACTON!! Still, I followed a…read morefriend's recommendation to come down for a jazz open mic on a Friday night and I almost missed it. Once inside you are in pub heaven with a traditional looking lounge at the front, you almost walk into the bands as you enter the pub but there's plenty of seating to enjoy the music from a safe distance too. You pass through another section before the place opens up to the main bar at the back. It has quite a continental feel to it, and I can't believe I didn't immediately spot the massive vats at the back - I was too busy admiring the statues on the bar. And it's difficult not to be tempted by the selection of beers when in a brewery and I didn't regret my choice of Achtung. They also serve food and while the main menu is limited to sausage rolls and pies you can also order pizza or sushi which is delivered directly to your table by local takeaways. I'll definitely be back, a real gem.

Their Early Doors IPA was always likely to be my favourite, but I also enjoyed Dark Matter, 2 O'clock Ordinary and their Weissbier called Achtung! Good brewery. We stayed long enough to warrant some food. The burgers looked delicious, but we decided to go for 3 snacks for a tenner. This meant we could both have a snack of our choice and also share some chips. I enjoyed the luxury fish fingers! (No Captain Birdseye here!)

This place is hilarious…read more Nestled in the surburban-y nowhere of South Ealing is this strange and wonderful place. I'd heard of West Five. It has an ambiguous reputation, meaning my imagination ran wild with the all kinds of grott and depravity it could be. This place blew my expectations. I imagined some tacky bar with large dancefloor and disco-balls galore. Some attempt to rival the Soho scene. Oh No. It's a pub. A really big pub. Traditional pub sign hanging high outside proudly coloured in rainbow. Inside, aside from the purple-pink neon bar it's your local. Good selection behind the bar and really reasonable prices. The staff are unpretentious and friendly. There's a real feeling of community here, everyone knowing everyone, instead of everyone sleeping with everyone. We went on a Friday, the evening started early with great entertainment. A wonderful gentleman playing you show tune classics on the stunning grand piano in one section of the bar. We moved from the dance classics to join him. He took requests and invited us up to sing. It was a wonderful atmosphere for friends catching up. Moving on from civilised sing song and chat we take up our space on the dancefloor and get ready for the head-liner. A fantastic caliber of drag act entertained us. Far from your dodgy man in a dress was this wonderful entertainer that warmed us up for an energetic night on the dancefloor. This pub is great for groups. Pool table, seating, different spaces for different crowds and a good atmosphere. It's not always very busy, even on this particular Friday it was no where near full, and it was quite clear they were mainly audience for the headline act. Don't get me wrong, it's still all kinds of camp, disco balls included and the ladies leave a lot to be desired but it's got a lot of soul. I wish this place was not in the arse crack of no where, but I suppose if it was, it wouldn't be the same.

This is my favorite gay venue in the whole of London!…read more The place is just great, it's big, got friendly staff and something for everyone. Bingo nights, karaoke nights, quiz nights, DJ's, drag shows, a massive garden, a piano lounge, big dance floor, comfy sofas, yeah, everything you could wish for when you want a night out! Another reason for this being my favorite place is that the people who go there seems more relaxed than in central London. Less artificial and pretentious. There is also a big mix between girls and boys, women and men, straights and gays, in all ages! If you want a good and fun night out, or just somewhere to chill, this is your place!
