0/5 - horrible company
Summer of 2022 I had my wedding at the Hillingdon house venue, although I has booked the Ealing venue first. When I first visited the Ealing venue, I was not impressed by what I saw. The place looked run-down and like it had not been used in years. However, the manager reassured me that the venue was undergoing construction and that it would look much better by the time of my wedding. I was hesitant, but he assured me that it was the day before or the day of Ramadan 2022, so I felt that he could not be that dishonest as a Muslim man.
Unfortunately, when I returned a month later, the venue did not look much different from when I first saw it. I was very disappointed and told the manager this. There were many red flags - he didn't even remember us and was trying to make us book with him as if we hadn't already. When he checked his booking book, he didn't have us in the system even though I had already paid the down payment. He also denied saying that there would be much work done, even though he had told me that everything would be changed and the venue would be upgraded to look more like the Hillingdon house.
The Ealing venue was a mess - it smelled, there was dirty water in the glass waterfalls, and the bridal room was a joke. It was a small room and I don't think my makeup artist would have been able to fit in there with all their equipment. When I went to see the venue for the first time, the manager told me that it was exactly like the Hillingdon house, but that couldn't have been further from the truth.
I ended up having to move my wedding to The Hillingdon house because they would give back our money, and while things were a little better there, I was still worried that they would ruin my wedding day. I had heard horror stories from multiple people in the wedding industry about this family-run business. I wish I had done more digging before putting down my deposit because they really did their best to hide the truth.
After my wedding, the West Ealing venue did not give me my deposit back on the agreed-upon time frame stated in the contract. Despite not breaking any of the conditions in the contract that would result in me losing my deposit, they refused to answer phone calls, emails, or WhatsApp's. It was very frustrating and took over four months to resolve. They eventually responded and tried to claim that maybe I had an extra guest, even though they had already agreed to return my deposit a month prior. They also claimed that they did not have proof that I had sent the refundable deposit, which was very confusing because I had a receipt and all of our communication was documented.
They are very shady . 0/5 read more
