The Scolt Head is another pub that ticks all the right boxes in terms of what a pub should be. I've chatted to the Landlady Rosie who is absolutely lovely and extremely accommodating, and seems to really love her job. This is certainly reflected in the food and the decor. Downstairs is light and airy with wooden tables and chairs and there's also a screen room with leather sofas and a pool table. Great for hanging out with a group or watching the game, and they also show films! The food has a large Mediterranean influence but also British classics like Chicken and Leek pie and of course roast beef Sunday lunch - my personal favourite and only £12. Pints of real ale are still under £3 too! Amazing.

One of my favorite dining experiences on a recent trip to London. The food is excellent and the vibe is just lovely. Highly recommended.

Lovely pub! Perfect blend of a reserved dining area and other tables just to enjoy a drink! Love it and proud to call it my local!

This stunning Victorian landmark near London Bridge will be providing two very different football experiences to satisfy every type of football fan. Upstairs, the Home Bar is bringing informal vibes. No reservations, no cover charge, a 30 foot long bar, and beers from every country competing means that groups of friends can drop in to revel in the atmosphere, supporting their favourite teams while watching a huge screen. Come half time, challenge your mates to a game of foosball while sipping on Jose Cuervo and blood orange slushies under the stunning high ceilings. Downstairs, the Away Bar will be taking reservations for those wanting to secure an area for bigger groups. Legendary bartender, Jim Wrigley, of Made In The Shade will be serving incredible cocktails all in keeping with the theme. Table service will be provided by gorgeous girls clad in football strips, and guests can enjoy the games from beautiful garden furniture on a turfed floor. Palm trees add to the relaxed atmosphere, providing a more civilised football experience all round. Delicious stone baked-baked pizzas from local pizerria, Pizza Lupa are available to order from both bars, all night, for just £10 a pop.

Whilst it's not the most posh place I've been, it usually gets the job done well. Drinks are how you would find at most pubs, and service is decent too, given how a waitress came to ask us what we wanted and served us amidst a busy rugby game (at other times, we had gone to the bar to order ourselves). There are quite a few tv screens as well as a big home theatre-like one too, which always adds to your sports watching experience. I've never had food here before but would like to try sometime. I hear that their wings are good. Be sure to bring an ID -- as its part of a casino facility, they check your ID even if you're here only for the bar and not for gambling.

Oddly, to open a tab, you have to give them both your credit/debit card AND your driver's license/passport/ID card. They give you a "badge" which you then show every time you order, apparently so they know which tab to bill it to. A bit weird to me, but maybe that's the norm in London, or at least in high-tourist bars in London. Also, they won't let men inside if you are wearing a hat-- you must remove the hat to enter. Fortunately, once inside, I put my hat back on and didn't have a problem with anyone saying anything. Glad my hat hair didn't have to be on display!
