Although it is still early days there are lots of things to enjoy here already. First impressions count and the first thing you will see here is the aeronautically inspired decor. You can admire bits of plane on the walls on take a seat in reclaimed airline seats in the bar's 'first class cabin'. Notwithstanding there not being an airport nearby this theme immediately sets the bar apart from its competition. I haven't been here in the evening yet but the coffee matches the quality of the decor. Higgin's London Particular blend provides the beans and the staff do the rest. If tea is your thing, no problem, a selection of loose leaf teas from Little Sparrow Tea are available. Coffee is no good without cake and this is an area where I think there is still work to be done. My pistachio cake this morning was a little stodgy - I am sure this will improve with time though. I will hopefully pop down in the evening sometime soon. However, I am confident that the cocktails, wine and craft beers on offer will match the daytime pleasures I have already encountered.

Drinks are how you would find at most pubs, and service is decent too, given how a waitress came to ask us what we wanted and served us amidst a busy rugby game (at other times, we had gone to the bar to order ourselves). There are quite a few tv screens as well as a big home theatre-like one too, which always adds to your sports watching experience. I've never had food here before but would like to try sometime. I hear that their wings are good. Be sure to bring an ID -- as its part of a casino facility, they check your ID even if you're here only for the bar and not for gambling.

Well, they must know what they're doing because their gin drinks are off the chain good! My friend Rolfe and I only got to try the classic Negronis (2 each), and they were perfection. We wanted to try some other drinks, but it was near closing time and they were running short on some of their fresh ingredients... next time for sure! Note that this place is part of the Ropewalk section of the market and only open on Saturdays (9am-2pm or later) and Sundays (11am-4pm).
