And yet my style is absolutely maintainable between visits--so I can feel good about my everyday appearance. The salon uses safe products (that is very important to Kat, the owner). I was in a wedding party(maid of honor) and we actually had all the girls hair and makeup done by the hairdressers at Salon Doriano. At the time I was living 6 hrs away. The hair and makeup for everyone came out great and everyone was completed in time -- STRESS FREE. So now that I find myself back here I was pretty excited. My hair was kind of a two toned ombré mess before stepping into the salon and I honestly wasn't even sure how to fix it so it looked healthier and flowed better. My appointment was with Melissa and she was amazing. Besides being super easy to talk too, she really knew what she was doing and completely transformed my hair. The salon is COVID friendly; by appointments only, wait outside until your time, and you are asked to signed a waiver. The seats are spaced out and the wash stations have plastic separation curtains between seats. I was there for a cut and didn't wait long outside before my appointment. Lori is friendly, professional, and FAST. I've been to MANY salons and stylist, and Lori, by far, is the BEST. I wanted a cut that looks good and easy to maintain since I don't have much time these days with a 11 months old. I was also going from long to short, so I was a bit nervous how it was going to turn out. I didn't really have a picture of what I wanted but just described it to Lori. She told me what she would recommend, I agreed, and she got busy! Her cut was precise and quick. I think in less than 30 min, my cut was done. And I love it. I don't think I can go to anyone else in the future because she's the best I've ever had. If you haven't found YOUR stylist, I highly recommend Lori, you won't be disappointed!!!

I would give this salon between one and two stars. Since I was a new customer, I did not know which stylist to choose. So, the receptionist paired me up with Kayla. When I entered the salon, there were people already in there getting pedicures, reading magazines, etc. I was not immediately greeted and wondered if there was anyone actually there to receive customers. I was offered some tea in a to-go thermos. A nice gesture, except the temperature of the water made the tea completely undrinkable, it was so hot. I waited a little while until Kayla appeared. She took me to her chair and I explained that I wanted the layers trimmed. She said that she does not do "wet" cuts, only dry cuts. I was not used to this, but went along with it anyway. The entire cut took about 5-10 minutes. She trimmed my layers just fine, but did not do any special blow-drying, styling, or even add any product or even SHAMPOO my hair. A short time later, I left the chair. This is where my big problem with Avante salon is. The lady who rang me up charged $30 for the cut. However, on Avante's website, they itemize your experience. Styling for this amount, shampoo for this amount, cut and style for another amount. Because they do this, I felt like it was unfair for me to pay the full $30 for just minimal work. If they really wanted to itemize my experience (no shampoo, no styling, no product, minimal cutting) I should have only been charged half that amount. I liked the trim when I left, but the next week, it was not very noticeable that I had had it cut. If I go here again, I would ask for a different stylist. $30 is a good price for a salon experience, but not a good price for a ten minute trim.
