Very nice Sunday brunch. Nice atmosphere, food is great, the drinks are delicious. Had a great time.

I've been wanting to try The Foundry out and had the opportunity to on July 4th after spending the afternoon at 26 Degrees brewery. First, the restaurant is beautifully decorated. High ceilings with "broken windows" to make it look like a warehouse. Lots of metal and very nice art on the walls. There is an indoor/outdoor bar area in the front and a raw bar in the back. They have several outside tables also. Two of us (including me) ended up ordering the Ahi Tuna Poke and a side of Miso Glazed Brussels Sprouts and the other two ordered the Sesame Seared Tuna Salad. An additional side of Grilled Asparagus was added also. The Tuna Poke was delicious. Served layered with avocado, wakame, jalapeño, toasted hazelnuts, soy sesame dressing and a very nice portion of tuna topped with scallions and cilantro, it was really bright and fresh with just a hint of heat from the jalapeños. They give you a very large quantity of crispy plantain chips on the side. The Brussels sprouts were also very tasty. Slightly charred with crispy edges. My friends really enjoyed their salads and said the orange sesame dressing was amazing. They usually have Happy Hour from 4-7pm Monday-Friday but they had it all night for July 4th so our beers were only $5.00. The HH menu looked nice with lots of $8 options as well as $10 and $12. Next time I'd like to try the Sunday Brunch with endless mimosas and Bloody Mary's. read more

Fantastic brunch & the bottomless mimosas and great. Service was a little slow considering they weren't too busy and many tables were empty.

Highly recommend this spot as the perfect after work happy hour. You can't beat their menu and it's got a great atmosphere.

Amazing service! So cool to meet people who genuinely like what they do and are a light rather than complain or make things uncomfortable. The food was alright. My go to spot when having happy hour drinks. Flat bread is good and entrees are well executed. I enjoy siting at the outside bar on the weekends and it does get packed but the dining room experience is not bad at all. Cheaper and less pretentious as Houston's across the street. Sunday brunch was a hit and worth the drive to newly revitalized Pompano area. Getting much more trendy and upscale but still cool. The foundry has a great menu for lunch and brunch and now I want to try dinner next time. We sat outside and found a shady spot and even going it was warm out there was a breeze and very pleasant. Our server was very attentive and explained everything in detail. The bloody Mary's were awesome. The bartender is very skilled We had appetizers first. The lobster and shrimp toasts and the tuna stack. Even though I picked the topping off the toast -Totally yummy. Hubby had the pork belly sliders which he enjoyed and I had the chicken sandwich on greens since no bread for me. No room for dessert but maybe next time. I've had the eggplants , the steak and eggs , the breakfast pizza and bottomless. I've been twice and both times service was great .

Came in here for the happy hour food and I would say overall everything is pretty good. Truffle Fries-Nothing special but good enough Calamari-Solid fry and crispy; maybe include marinara also since the other sauce is only decent Chicken Flatbread-Good but small Chicken wings-Good flavor but a little too spicy Sliders-Overall good but maybe a few condiments or lettuce/tomato would make it a lot better Would probably come back for the happy hour food if i were in the area. read more

Stopped in for lunch. Such a beautiful restaurant. Great decor. Sat inside and had some VIP service from Rick the Manager and Erin my server . I still can't believe it took me this long to try the Foundry. I definitely will be coming again, great selection of Napa Valley wines and craft beers. The Malpeque oysters from Prince Edward Island were fresh and of top quality . So good! Large cocktail shrimp were a bargain at $14.00 and so delicious. Worth checking out. I'm a huge Shrimp Ceviche fan and if I am by the coast, I usually get it. This one did not disappoint, it def has a kick to it with the jalapeño. I sat at the outside bar so didn't get a feel for the inside environment but it was packed! read more

Came here on a Friday night around 10, shortly before they close. Despite it being a hot night me and my lady sat outside under the fans which was nice. Service was a bit slow but I will attribute that to the time (not a good excuse but it's cool). We ordered fire roasted wings as a quick appetizer (which we destroyed) and 2 individual pizzas, which we didn't finish but were good sizes and exactly what wanted. First off ignore the bad reviews! I mean really people? People are just writing to write. This place is the BOMB. The area calls for these snooty people who don't know how to just enjoy being served in the first place. These people work really hard to make everything right and it was easy to see that! REVIEW: Absolutely stunning through and through! The atmosphere is upscale industrial, yet quaint. Staff all smiling and super friendly. Food was top-notch. Generous portions of beautifully plated food. French toast was best I've ever had. Burger was actually cooked the way i ordered it (even on a very busy day) so hard to find a good burger these days. We just heard about The Foundry a few days ago, from Joel, owner of Pro Lab Photo, of Pompano. He recommended the Mahi Mahi sandwich and I really enjoyed it. My wife had the Polpette (4 meatballs) with crispy polenta, pomodoro sauce, herb ricotta, and basil. She really loved the meal. The atmosphere is very nice, with plenty of space, and outdoor seating. Our Server, Erin, was terrific and explained various items on the menu and did a fine job. This restaurant opened in Nov. 2016 and has been gaining a large following. My daughter and I stopped in here for a dinner on a Thursday night. We were seated right away and our server was prompt and attentive. I asked his opinion on which of 3 options was the best and he chose the Lobster Ravioli from my choices. Our food came quick and when it did, he offered to bring me additional parmasan to add to my dish which I accepted. It was very tasty and the last few bites were the best. However, it did, strangely have a slight aftertaste that I noticed more in the beginning which made me wonder if maybe I'm not a fan of the lemon in the dish. I would definitely return to this restaurant if given the chance, but I may try something different next time - there were plenty of other interesting options to try on the menu. My daughter ordered the salmon and requested it be cooked without lemon and was very pleased with it and enjoyed it - she said it wasn't overcooked. read more

If you are ever in the Fort Lauderdale area you must try The Foundry. I've been here twice and on both visits I got top notch friendly service and awesome delicious food. The pizza is phenomenal, perfectly cooked in a wood oven and with fresh ingredients. Salads are a good sized portion and very good. It came out on one plate but a manger walking pass said he will have it divided into two. Nice touch. Also try the Short Rib(good price at $20), Shrimp and Grits and Shrimp Toast. All very good. Review long time coming. I went here for brunch a while back and absolutely loved it. The service was what made the experience outstanding. I also had this amazing mocha chocolate mousse. The location was nice and the food was not bad. We got there around 1pm after the lunch rush and literally stood around for almost 4 minutes with no assistance. I was already frustrated and told my husband we could walk across the street to Houston's. I ended up walking over to the bar to get some kind of help. The bartender walked over to help us just as the hostess finally showed up after almost a good 8 minutes. Our server was nice but my mood was already soured by the first impression. The best part about the entire meal was the banana pudding dessert. I loved the presentation and the crispy Nilla wafers. Great lunch spot with nice outdoor seating. Service & staff are great. We went here because the friends I was with like to smoke, so if you don't like/ can't stand smoke then I wouldn't recommend this place. Although they may not allow smoking inside, but I'm not sure. I would call any ask first if your concerned. If you do smoke this is the place for you as they are connected to a cigar store that evidently has a great selection (I wouldn't personally know as I don't but my friends kept raving about the selection). Great food and service. Our waiter Kenny did a great job. Would definitely come back again. Dishes: Short rib flatbread: A slightly thinner crust than I prefer, but still a solid small dish. The short rib was tasty and who doesn't like a good aioli? Shrimp and grits: Great dish. The grits are the star of the show here, very tasty. Also a good amount of shrimp included. Lamb and risotto: Lamb tasted great and was cooked perfectly. The fried risotto was a bit underwhelming but still tasty. Whatever the sauce is was phenomenal. Desiree was our bartender and she was not only delightful and friendly, she makes a great margarita and a delicious Dirty Martini. Ordered the oysters, ahi tuna Poke, grilled octopus, and geek salad. For the reasonably priced menu that i walked into I didn't get the quality of entrees I expected. Octopus was a little more burnt than expected, Greek salad was pretty bland, and tuna poke was well.. you can't really mess that up. I wish the oysters had a dedicated menu or the waiter had more insight on what they were serving - I asked for a mix and I got 12 fairly well cleaned oysters. I had to spit out grit and sand from 3 oysters. Will I come here again, yes - I think the place is a decent hangout after work to unwind and meet people.
