I had the brisket over tots bowl with both sauces and it was really good. I'm from the south and was skeptical about bbq in the UP, especially brisket, but it was very good. Well seasoned, tender, good char on the edges. The tots were good too - crispy on the outside and pillowy inside. This place is smart - small menu of good food. Service was friendly and pretty quick. Nice little spot with a couple tables to sit at. Food was pretty good, but overall a bit overpriced in my opinion for the amount you get. They also ran out of something in less than two hours of opening, which was a little surprising/disappointing. Feels like that's something easily avoidable. Overall wouldn't be opposed to returning but would rather check out some of the other spots around first before that point. read more

Neat little spot in Hancock. It's got a rustic vibe. Picnic table seating and metal. The brisket was so tender. They let me sample it before hand. I ended up getting the brisket sandwich and sort of regretted it. Wish I would have gotten the meat by itself to savor the flavor. Ordered cheese curds which were good and came with Cole slaw which was excellent. Service was order at the counter, drop off a tray style. Nice people. Good fast place for lunch. read more

The worker recommended the pork tacos. I almost cried with the first bite. The flavor profile was perfect. My wife and daughter each had brisket bowls. Their absolute new favorite thing in the world. Try the homemade tater tots. You will not be disappointed. I'm guessing by the quality of what we got, there isn't a bad thing on the menu. read more

I had the brisket sandwich and it was excellent. It had large cuts of meat on a fresh made in house bun. If I had been in town longer I would have gone back and tried some of the other items on the menu. Highly recommend! read more

Wow, just wow!!!!! I had the pulled pork sandwich and hubby had the brisket sandwich... both were amazing...very generous amounts of meat and they make their own buns!!!!! Really yummy! knowledgable staff, checked labels, asked the owner and very kind. I have dairy and gluten allergies and we found many options. The GF bun was cold and not toasted and found it was overpowering the wonderful flavor so just didn't eat the bun. Tater tots were more like deep fried mash potato balls but still really yummy. (They were out of cheese curds so the fryer was safe!) My husband said the Mac-n-cheese was very good. Seems like they need more storage for products but overall average/cute ambiance and outdoor seating options! It would be so nice if they offered an allergy aware menu... It would eliminate the 'I don't think' to I know very easily and allow customers to make an informed choice. I get soooooo stressed when eating out due to lack of knowledge that I usually just sit there and watch my family eat. We will be going back. read more

Brisket was very good. It was not too dry, nice marbling, flavor and spices were excellent. Fries were A+, just came out of the fryer. Brisket Meal also came with a tiny little side of cole slaw that was solid, but way too small. Can of soda came with the meal as well bringing the total to about $24 for all of the above. The brisket portion was a bit underwhelming for that price and not amazing, otherwise I'd probably give five stars. Service was fine. The place is in a strip mall. It's clean and ambiance is very casual. I'll definitely be back to try more, probably a burger. read more

The brisket is evenly marbled and there is just enough BBQ sauce where it enhanced it but not overpowered the flavor of the brisket. Went there with three friends today. I had the pulled pork sandwich which was very good. The coleslaw was good, but not as creamy as I would like. One gentleman had the veggie burger that had a portabella mushroom on it. He said it was the best one he has ever had! Two others in our party had the beef brisket. Both had a very generous portion of brisket and the slices looked and tasted to be of high quality. All in all, we would definitely go back! Note that there is limited seating inside. read more

Amazing food and amazing service! The staff were extremely nice and helpful, they seemed like they took passion in the food and even explained what the different dishes had to offer as far as flavor. The food was all handmade. The fries i believe were also handmade ( some of the best I had) They guy in the kitchen said the brisket bowl was a flavor explosion and it was spot on! I've enjoyed delicious BBQ while living in multiple states (including Texas) and the quality of our meal was fantastic. I tried the brisket taco - the meat was done perfectly & the fresh ingredients on top were perfectly matched. While waiting in line at a local breakfast cafe, I met a guy who said he had a food truck. So later that day I went to check it out with elevated expectations. We got the brisket sandwich, pork sandwich, wings, and the loaded tots. He said that everything was made by scratch including the buns on the sandwiches and tots themselves. The sandwiches had good meat, texture and flavor. The wings were big and meaty and had great flavor. The loaded tots were soft and smooth on the inside surrounded by a crispy shell with a lot of pork on top. I would absolutely go back and highly recommend to others. read more
